Not far from the exciting lagoon landscape of Ria Formosa is a loving house that is geared towards guests seeking peace and quiet. The Contrabaixo is named after the profession of its possession, a double bass player. Since it can be assumed that it is a particularly inspiring place ...
You reach the remote property via a dead end and stand undiminished in a well-tended garden with old pines, palm trees and typical plants. The south-facing house stands in the middle of the area, a high wall protects from the only neighbour, on the other hand there is only pure nature. Various shady and sunny corners and seats are available around the house, but the most popular is the small roof terrace, from which you have an impressive 180 ° view and can watch the tides in the lagoon all day.
The house is furnished in a rustic Portuguese style, with personal details and selected pictures on the walls. All rooms have several windows and allow the view of nature to run free. Three bedrooms can accommodate up to 5 people, for which there are also two modern bathrooms. All bedrooms have air condition (on cost). The living room in the centre of the house and the communicative kitchen offer all the necessary comfort. A powerful fireplace and gas central heating are available for cool evenings or winter time.
On the numerous mild days of the year, there is an outdoor shower, grill and summer kitchen, so that you only have to enter the house to sleep.
Only a few meters on foot and you are in one of the most beautiful places in the Eastern Algarve. The Bay of Arroteia with its colourful fishing boats is still a little insider tip. At low tide you can take long walks through the mudflats, where there are many birds, crabs, shell collectors, etc. to discover. And if you still swim through the narrow channel at low tide, you can even take a bath in the cool Atlantic. 6 hours later the lagoon is like a huge lake and the water reaches all the way to the shore and invites you to splash around. A recurring natural spectacle right on the doorstep ...

Eine wirklich einmalige Unterkunft!

Eine wirklich tolle Unterkunft am Rande des Naturparks Ria Formosa. Sehr sauber und stilvoll, mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und allem Komfort ausgestattet. Man merkt, dass die Eigentümer die Unterkunft auch regelmäßig noch selbst nutzen. Eines der Highlights ist sicherlich die Dachterrasse, von der aus man abends grandios den Sternenhimmel beobachten kann. Bei Ebbe ist es zudem nur ein kurzer Weg über die Lagune zur vorgelagerten Sandbank. Die Kommunikation mit der Hausverwaltung war komplikationslos und sehr angenehm. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt absolut genossen!

Perfekt eingerichtetes Haus, top Lage

Wir haben eine wundervolle Woche in dem Haus verbracht und haben selten erlebt, dass es wirklich an nichts gefehlt hat...von Fliegennetzen an den Fenstern, Außendusche, Außenküche, bequeme Betten, drei Terassen, Grillecke und besonders die wunderschöne ungestörte Lage direkt am NSG. Riesige Anzahl an Reise-Wanderführern. Sehr sauber und klasse Betreuung bei der Schlüsselübergabe. Einfach top!

Kleines Paradies in wunderbarer Umgebung

Eine wunderschöne Unterkunft, bislang das schönste Ferienhaus, das wir je hatten. Das Haus ist sehr groß und mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Die Ausstattung ist super: die Betten sind bequem, die Kleiderschränke sind groß, die Küchenausstattung ist einmalig. Es gibt wirklich viel und geschmackvolles Geschirr, Saftpresse, Kaffeemaschine, Mixer….alles, was das Herz begehrt. Am Abend hat man einen gigantischen Blick in den Sternenhimmel. Die Lage ist wunderbar. Der Garten ist großzügig, nach nur 100 Metern Fußmarsch erreicht man die Ria Formosa. Das nächste Städtchen Fuzeta ist mit dem Auto in 5 Minuten erreichbar.

das perfekte Feriendomizil

Wir waren das neunte mal in der Gegend und dieses Haus würden wir glatt noch einmal für Familienferien buchen. Toll ausgestattet, super sauber, schöne Terrasse mit Garten, in Wattnähe, der Hafen Fuseta, von wo die Boote zum Strand gehen und wo zahlreiche Restaurants zum Fisch essen einladen, ist in 10 Autominuten zu erreichen, das Fischrestaurant Fialho ist eine Ausfahrt entfernt. Die beiden Damen von der Agentur, Anne und Barbara, haben uns super nett betreut. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

2 wunderschöne Wochen

Wir haben im Casa Contrabaixo zwei wunderschöne Urlaubswochen verbracht. Für uns (3 Erwachsene) hat alles gepasst. Wir haben uns in dem schönen und sehr gut ausgestatteten Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Besonders gefallen haben uns der Garten, die kleinen Terrassen rund um das Haus und natürlich die Dachterrasse. Der Urlaub war sehr erholsam. Schade, dass er schon vorbei ist...

A casa contra baixo, têm um óptima localização, perto de tudo, de longos passeios pela ria e ao mesmo tempo longe. Não há barulhos.... é óptimo para descansar. A casa está muito bem equipada e é muito confortável. Passamos uma semana maravilhosa. Muito obrigada

Seit mittlerweile zehn Jahren verbringen wir unseren Sommerurlaub in Einzelhäusern in Südeuropa - und dieses war das bislang beste. Toll gelegen, mit einem großen Außenbereich für die Kinder und viel Platz im Inneren. Abends ist es dort so ruhig, dass man das Rauschen des Meeres hören kann - mehr geht nicht. Auch die Lage ist gut. In Fuseta kann man wunderbar baden (am besten mit dem Boot auf die Insel fahren), Tavira ist eine sehenswerte Stadt. Und die Markthalle in Olhao mit all dem Fisch ist ein Traum. Fazit: Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert, wenn man seine Ruhe haben möchte.

absolut traumhaftes Haus

Den Aufenthalt im Haus Contrabaixo können wir nur wärmstens empfehlen. Wir waren im Juni für 4 Woche dort und haben uns vom ersten Tag an wohlgefühlt. Das ging eigentlich schon bei der super Betreuung bei der Haussuche los und endete mit der reibungslose Übergabe am letzten Tag. Das Haus selbst ist wirklich wie auf den Bilder und liegt sehr ruhig. Von den Nachbar ist quasi nichts zu hören. Es ist mit allem was man benötigt ausgestattet und alles ist in einem sehr guten Zustand. Man findet immer ein gemütliches Plätzchen in der Sonne oder im Schatten, je nachdem wie man es gerade bevorzugt. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit dort und denken gerne daran zurück.
