Sleeping Accommodations:
This luxury home boasts 6 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms. On the main floor, you will find 3 bedrooms with Cal King Beds and an additional room with double bunk beds, which can sleep 2-3 adults or 5 kids. The master bedroom also comes with a full-size pullout sofa bed in addition to the California King bed.
. The home office can be used as a 6th bedroom with a queen-size bed which has a new 10" comfy mattress. The private downstairs bedroom comes with a queen bed. In the recreation room, find an additional queen size sofa bed, a bunk bed and two single roll-away beds. 12-14 Adults can be very comfortable and not have to share rooms.
Snuggle on the leather couches in the Great Room with a captivating book and enjoy the tranquil outdoor views. The large chef's kitchen is fully equipped with all cooking essentials including spices, oil, foil and plastic wrap. The dining room is perfect for a large family meal and can seat 8-12 people. The spacious master bedroom comes complete with a large jacuzzi tub, an oversized shower, as well as a romantic remote-controlled fireplace. Enjoy the lively downstairs game room with a ping-pong table, foosball, an x-box, and a new smart TV with plenty of movies to keep the kids busy. The sizeable laundry room includes a sink, ironing board, and a washer and dryer with detergent.
Enjoy your morning coffee or a relaxing evening on the expansive decks with gorgeous forest views. Oak, pines, and dogwood trees surround the property. Guests often see deer, squirrels and various birds while they drink from the outdoor fountain.

**In the winter when there is snow or ice on the roads AWD or 4WD vehicles are required. Two-wheel drive cars cannot drive up and down our driveway its too steep when there is recent snow. Even with cables we do not recommend two-wheel drive cars. AWD and 4WD vehicles should have cables or chains ready as a backup in case roads or the driveway is icy. If a severe storm hits and the county cant snow plow the neighborhood roads and you get snowed in requiring additional nights stay the nightly rate will be reduced by 50%.
Check-In is 3:00 pm, early check-ins are often possible.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Do not leave any trash in house or in cans in garage. Place all garbage in the two cans in the bear enclosure at top of driveway. Take excess garbage with you to the dump in Avery on your way home.
Leave all beds unmade. Leave sofa beds open as well as rollaways if used so cleaners know which beds to change.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

San Ramon, CA is our hometown. Marlene grew up in Santa Cruz attending Harbor High School and Doug grew up in Walnut Creek attending De La Salle High School. We met at Sac State University and have been married over 30 years.
Our two older daughters are out of school and working. One is a pediatric oncology nurse at UCSF and the other is a fashion designer for TomboyX in Seattle. Our son, now 17 attends Cal High and is an avid baseball player and studying to be a pilot. Doug is in the home mortgage business and Marlene works part time as a Realtor. We love animals and have a 7 year old Australian Shepard and a Huskie/Border Collie we rescued in 2022.
We purchased this property summer 2021 after selling our vacation home in Dorrington of 20 years. We are very active people. We love to travel, hike, ski, fish and wine taste in Murphys. Our long-term goal is to retire in this home. We hope you love it as much as we do and think of it as your home away from home and return to stay with us again.

Why they chose this property
We have spared no expense in preparing this beautiful property to rent. Many furnishings were newly purchased in 2021. All linens including towels, sheets and pillows were purchased in the fall of 2021 and replaced as they age. Almost all the kitchenware, glasses mugs etc. were newly purchased. The beds all have toppers on them and are super comfortable. Every mattress also has encasement protectors that block out liquids, bed bugs, dust mites and allergens. The very private location backing to the National forest and no close neighbors makes this a very unique and peaceful home. The sheer size being nearly 5,000 square feet is also very unusual and one of the largest mountain homes in the area that you can affordably rent sharing the cost among several families makes this property a great value for groups and provides plenty of privacy, space, bedrooms and baths.
