We had a great stay. The location is perfect, both cabins are comfortable and spacious. Both kitchens are very well set up, and we had everything we needed. Our hosts were terrific; we had an initial issue that they resolved in the most immediate and helpful manner possible. We will be happy to come back one of these days.

Relaxing
It’s a great place for a group , couple of families, we have been coming up to Arnold for 21 yrs for our family vacation . This location was great . , very clean cabins and a great selection for our stay .
After 18 years of having our annual trip in Tahoe, we decided to try Arnold and Bear Valley and it didn’t disappoint. These two cabins were perfect for our group. The kids loved the loft in green cabin as well as the freedom to play hide and seek outside safely between the two cabins. Both kitchens were well stocked with all we needed to make gourmet meals. Our host was attentive and got back to us quickly with any questions we had. The beds were comfortable and the we had enough bathrooms to accommodate the group. There was ample parking and the fire pit and wrap around porch were great for star gazing, barbecuing and relaxing. The neighborhood was quiet and near the local supermarket and the ski rentals. We enjoyed a day of skiing and sledding at nearby Bear Valley and were able to walk through downtown Murphy’s. An excellent place to make new memories. We hope to return!

Lovely and peaful cabin in Arnold
We had a great stay at the cabin with the kids! The location was peaceful and perfect for a family getaway. Communication with the host was excellent—quick to respond and very accommodating. We did encounter a few cleaning issues upon arrival, but the host addressed them promptly and effectively, which we truly appreciated. Overall, a lovely experience, and we would consider staying again!
Beautiful cabin, beautifully furnished and the bathrooms were awesome. The kitchen had everything we needed to have meals in...and to not have to go out!! With family living in the area, we'll be staying there again.

Great place to stay
As advertised! Enjoyed the stay very much. The deck is a perfect spot for morning coffee and for stargazing at night.
Driveway is steep but in summer it wasn’t an issue at all.
We traveled from Idaho to see my brothers. We utilized the kitchen for all meals and played card games.

Clean, Comfotable, and Cozy Cabin!
This home is clean, comfortable, and organized! It was the perfect place for a cozy and relaxing weekend with friends and is nicely updated. There are even heated floors! It is just a short drive from Murphys, where you can enjoy lunch, wine tasting, and shopping. Back at the cabin is everything you need to cook and enjoy the company of your group. We would definitely book this location again without a second thought!

Peaceful
Very peaceful time very beautiful house very beautiful area. I just think that you guys need more lights around the area so people can see what they’re looking at even if it’s the car or if they just wanna see the area I feel as if there should be more lights around because you can’t really see anything, especially if you have to be worried about bears
Absolutely beautiful cabin.
Very Clean. Well appointed. Multiple outdoor sitting areas provide options to soak in the atmosphere. Close to so many hikes and lakes. The HOA lake and pool are wonderful. The trees and extra large lots make it seem secluded. The town of Arnold is terrific, too.
Can’t wait to go back.

Great Getaway
We had our family's annual cabin weekend in Arnold and rented two cabins. We secured a great deal by reserving at the last minute. Both cabins comfortably accommodated our family and our pet. They were fully stocked with high-quality kitchenware and serveware. Overall, the family had a fantastic time. The only reason I didn't give a 5-star rating is that the air conditioning in the green hideaway wasn't as effective as in the log cabin. While the upstairs was cool, the main living area became quite hot, especially when cooking. Despite this issue, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider renting again—perhaps in the fall or spring when air conditioning isn’t needed.ring when air conditioning isn’t needed.

2025 Family reunion
What a fabulous trip. We enjoyed the natural Forrest. Lakes just minutes away. Our entire family ranging from ages 6 to 65 enjoyed the natural Forrest surrounding the cabins, Calaveras Big Trees, and lakes just minutes away. Swinging rope into the lake, swimming and fishing was great for the entire family and for our dog. Calaveras Big Trees was amazing and very close by to this cabin, a must go. Both cabins are great for large family gatherings. Log cabin is a gorgeous and beautiful home and smaller cabin is so cozy in the natural forest. We used log cabin for our central dining area, as it has a much larger dining space to accommodate the entire family. Deer trek the area frequently. It was beautiful to see when looking outside the homes. Evenings are gorgeous as you can clearly see the stars at night. If you love to cook, the cabin appliances are top notch gas stoves. Owners provided coffee, wine and treats. What a lovey place to stay. Highly recommend these cabins if you want to experience nature and its beauty.

Fantastic House
Highly recommend this house. It’s absolutely beautiful, spacious, and located close to supermarket, dining, and lakes. Rebecca, the host, is responsive, thoughtful, and friendly. It has all the amenities that a family needs— washer/dryer, AC, good Wi-Fi, multiple TVs (smart TVs), etc. Beautiful decorations inside the house and I love the bear theme. It has a wonderful fire pit area next to the house. The Arnold area is a paradise without the crowds. The house does have 2 sets of stairs and a steep, just FYI, for people/dogs who have trouble climbing stairs (our dog is old). Would be a wonderful place for winter stays (but house does have a steep driveway). We would love to rent again in the near future!
As advertised. Great firepit for family decompressing with s'mores. Community Center is a great place to spend the day if you have kids. Many close-by attractions (Big Trees Adventure, Moaning Caves Cavern).
Inside the cabin was beautiful. The balcony proved to be invaluable for morning coffee or just hang out with my wife. I recommend getting up early (we brought a small dog so that wasn't an issue) to see the wildlife. We saw deer and jackrabbits. Lizards and frogs are everywhere. My 10 y/o grandson was in heaven. The views, sights and sounds and smells are priceless.
I could go on. We would stay again for sure. A+

Disliked: Communication, location
Multiple issues and no one person to talk to
The house is beautiful however there’s a couple of key things that make it either dangerous or not very pleasurable to be at.
The first one is having a stairwell in the middle of the kitchen. My 11 year old son continuously tried to go to it and while a baby gate was provided it was broken so we had to improvise and put stools there. Unfortunately, these did not do the trick and fell down the stairs. We had to take him to the hospital and I let whoever manages the property and their exact response was only two words. “That’s awful”
This is by far the biggest issue of this property. Be sure to bring a baby gate if you’re going to bring small children that like to run around also, the driveway is extremely steep the shower glass upstairs hits at the top in the master bathroom shower creating an extremely loud noise and fear of breaking the glass.
The property seems to be owned by a company so it doesn’t seem like there’s just one person to talk to. I’ve talked to multiple people and yet no one has been very accommodating.
The design for the house though beautiful having a Stairwell in the middle of a kitchen is terrible.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m truly sorry to hear about your son’s accident and hope he is recovering well. As parents ourselves, we understand how concerning this must have been, and we deeply regret that the provided baby gate did not meet your needs. Since receiving your feedback, we have replaced the baby gate with a more secure, wall-mounted version to ensure the safety of all future guests. The staircase near the kitchen is a unique feature of the cabin's original design, providing convenient access to the laundry room. While we cannot change the layout, we’ve updated our listing to reflect that the property may not be ideal for families with young children. This step is intended to help future guests make informed decisions about whether the space is suitable for their needs. Regarding the upstairs shower, it is a custom design and a standout feature of the cabin. However, we take your concerns seriously and have scheduled a contractor to inspect the glass and ensure it operates safely and smoothly. I was surprised to read your comment about the cabin being “owned by a company” and the lack of personal communication. As the owner, I personally responded to your message late in the evening before your checkout, addressing your concerns as best as I could in the moment. I regret if my response didn’t meet your expectations, but please know it was sincere and intended to provide support during a difficult situation. We strive to offer a safe and comfortable experience for all our guests, and while I’m disappointed that we fell short in your case, I truly appreciate your feedback. It has allowed us to make improvements to better serve future guests. Thank you again, and I wish you and your family the best in your travels.

This property was perfect!
We had really great time staying in this beautiful home on our recent visit to Arnold. The house is huge and spacious allowing us to space out when we needed to and come together easily as well. It is also well stocked with plenty of dishes/silverware/glasses and things to cook. The house had everything we needed to feel comfortable. It was clean & very well kept.
The cabin for a perfect place to get away. So nice that it had access to the local lake. Very accurate pictures and description of house.

Wonderful and warm cabin!
We had a wonderful time during our stay here. It was a great escape from the Bay Area! The rustic cabin was super clean, cozy, and peaceful and offered interior details that were both sophisticated and adorable. The hosts were extremely helpful and provided us with all of the information we needed. The kitchen and bathroom were well-equipped and we were not wanting for anything. The beds were extremely comfortable and we slept like angels, better there than at home! The location is close to shopping (Big Trees Market), hiking (Arnold Rim trail), and exploring at the Calaveras Big Trees State Park. The star gazing was incredible. We saw the Milky Way and shooting stars. During the day the scent of California incense-cedar filled the air to offer up aroma therapy free of charge.
This cabin is was perfect for our family week getaway. Clean, updated appliances, nice open concept with a partial wrap around deck to enjoy dinners and breakfasts outside. The fire pit was a hit with the kids. Great location in Blue Lake Springs with easy access to pool and lake with nice beaches. Big Trees just down the road too. Thank you for opening up your cozy cabin. We’ll be back!!
