The red barn had everything we needed for a great stay! One of our best experiences was hiking to the OTO ranch, less than a half mile from the barn….a much bigger elk herd than what we saw in Yellowstone, and the ranch itself was very interesting.

Everything was as listed. Kitchen area stayed warm, so running the extra fan in there helped. Beautiful view.

Comfortable property just outside if Gardiner

Two friends shared this 3 bedroom home for 3 nights. It is a short 10 miles north of Gardiner and we used it as a base of operations to explore the northern section of Yellowstone. It had everything we needed and was exactly as described. Communication with Elenor was excellentexce

Meet Yellowstone

The Graff's cabin was perfect for our long promised trip to introduce grandkids and their parents to Yellowstone. Cabin has everything needed for a comfortable week's VRBO stay. John and El were ideal hosts. Cabin is convenient to Gardiner, Mammoth, and all northern park points. Colors with a dusting of snow and lots of wildlife from antelope and bears to elk and mule deer but on a great show. We could not have asked for more!

Wonderful!!

Perfect place to relax after a long day of hiking and sightseeing at Yellowstone! The cottage was neat and clean and had everything we needed! The owners were hospitable and we enjoyed our daily visits from Sage and Jack, the owners' dogs ! We loved seeing elk daily and coyotes from the cottage. I fell in love with the beautiful stained glass all over the house and I enjoyed looking around in the glass studio. Montana always takes a piece of my heart. We will be back! Gorgeous surroundings !

PERFECT MOUNTAIN GETAWAY

This property is impeccably clean and exactly as described. We were a few short miles from the entrance to YNP- just close enough that it was never a hassle to get there, but far enough away that we felt got some space from the touristy Gardiner downtown area. If you are planning to go to YNP in October, just be aware that snow storms will impact road conditions in the park (we got shuffled out the west entrance due to closures and had to drive about 160 miles back to the cabin). While it was a far drive, booooy was it beautiful! We took our time driving back, enjoyed the scenery, and ate some delicious fried chicken at Roosters in Bozeman. We will definitely be staying here again!

Very pleasant week at cleanest home we've ever stayed in!

Kudos to John and El on providing the cleanest home we have ever vacationed in! Our week in Yellowstone provided all 50 degree temperature variations. We had shorts and T shirt weather and a snow storm that dusted the tops of the mountain peaks. We were able to hook a few fish in the upper Gibbon and Firehole. We fished and hiked through several storms which for us was enjoyable. Every evening on our way back there was the inevitable elk jam in Mammoth. One night one of the bulls was ramming cars. The rangers and park staff professionally managed the people and animals to get us through unscathed. The Yellowstone Trails book by Marschall you have helped us the most in selecting trails. Overall a very pleasant week. P.S. El, we really like the trout on the great room windows.

Wonderful visit

We had a wonderful visit and truly loved sharing your home! Currently, moving cross country (NJ to Seattle), it was especially lovely to be in a home for a few days. Yellowstone was glorious and we enjoyed hiking as many spots as we could with two little kids in tow! We saw Old Faithful twice, climbed a steep side trail to see Prismatic Spring, hiked down to Red Rock to see the Lower Falls (and even made it back up!) and saw so many animals and babies. Perhaps the most exciting (good and bad) was the sudden appearance of a black bear on our hike in Mammoth on the Beaver Ponds Trail. We had just crossed the beginning creek when he came down the hill towards us and just kept coming. We had to go down and off the steep hill to get away...not taking chances with a 4 year old and a 10 month old! So make sure to bring some bear spray! We loved it and love the memories.

We loved this property! The house had all of the conveniences and was delightfully located with great views of the river and mountains. We did have to open windows at night to sleep. It was fine with the cooler fresh air. We would recommend and come back.

Great place pretty close to the north entrance. It got warm in the house but we were able to open the windows and it was nice. Great view of the mountains and quiet even though the highway was close. We would definitely stay again! The check in process and communication was great.

Close to Yellowstone

Plus- Pretty area, close to Gardiner and Yellowstone. Owners care about the area and wildlife. Negative- beds not comfortable, it was hot and we couldn't turn off the radiant heat? We texted the # in guest book but no response. Kitchen needs a good cleaning. Cabinets sticky and dusty. Appliances in bad shape. Oven missing a knob and note saying don't use, refrigerator/frezer not cold enough.

Absolutely wonderful! At night you could hear the river and the elk across the way along with the horses! Far enough from town but only a 15 minute drive to the Roosevelt Arch! Great dining in the area and very convenient. I would like to have had access to the top balcony, but it was being remodeled. Otherwise the house was top-notch!

Peaceful homebase for Yellowstone

This house was a wonderful place to use as a home base for our adventures in Yellowstone. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility instead of staying in a busy town. We could truly relax and enjoy each other's company. Would definitely stay again!

Great location

We had a pleasant stay at this spacious and easy-to-find property. It offers most of the essentials for a comfortable visit. Some of our family stayed at a different place, but we were all able to get together here for breakfast and dinner without feeling cramped. There is a nice outdoor area where you can watch Elk across the field. The beds are on the firmer side, but generally comfortable, though the lower twin bunks could use updated mattresses or thick mattress pads, as the springs were noticeable. My sister opted for the couch as they were too uncomfortable which is why I marked it down a star. The kitchen is well-stocked with a variety of spices, though there was no coffee or pepper during our stay. The pans are easy to clean. We didn't come across any all-purpose cleaning spray, but it’s possible we may have missed it. They do not provide any laundry detergent, so bring your own. The shower had strong water pressure and got hot quickly. Plenty of towels and extra blankets were available, which was a nice touch. Another convenience was the clearly designated spot to put full trash bags. Very helpful during our stay.Overall, it's a functional and roomy place with some thoughtful amenities!
