About this property

Our house was completely rebuilt in 2014. It is situated at 1.000m hight, and from almost all spots one overlooks 25km of the Doamnei-Valley. We constructed a 8x5m deck on the highest spot. There are three bedrooms, an open kitchen with bread-maker, bathroom with shower and washing machine. A fast WiFi-internet connection is available.
Nucsoara is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Romania. Life here is simple, close to nature. The surrounding mountains invite for walks or off-road mountain biking. At several spots, the mountain rivers form natural pools for swimming.
The villagers are typically extremely helpful and supportive; we source part of our food from local production of our neighbors. The village itself has a pub and two mini-markets for everyday-items. The nearest supermarket is in Doamnesti, a 20min-ride. The old residence of Curtea-de-Arges is 45min away, as is Campulung. Sibiu and Bucharest are 2-2,5h drives.

Beautiful, stunning views, nice light and tasteful furnishing. The breadmaker is a hit!

Really enjoyed our stay. We had great weather, sunshine every day, and used the upper deck extensively. The views from there are just breathtaking, while having breakfast or a bbq. The kitchen is really well equipped, we made our own bread. Last not least the village: very friendly, helpful people!

Un havre de paix pour les amoureux de la nature

La maison est très belle, confortable et parfaitement équipée, bien située dans un village charmant et très authentique. Des sentiers permettent de se promener à pied dans la campagne environnante et de faire de plus longues excursions. En famille, avec des enfants ou entre amis, ce gîte est à recommander aux amoureux de la nature et de l'authenticité. Une terrasse panoramique équipée d'un barbecue permet de passer des soirées sous les étoiles avec une vue très apaisante sur la vallée. Les indications du propriétaire sur le fonctionnement des différents équipements sont excellentes! Un conseil toutefois, ne pas venir avec une voiture surbaissée, les routes dans cette région de Roumanie sont parfois assez mauvaises.
