The property had all the amenities that were portrayed in the listing. T he unit was clean and ready when we arrived. The property worked very well for our family and would highly recommend it to friends and would most likely stay there again if we go back to that area
Grounds are beautiful. Everything was as stated in the cabins facilities. We enjoyed the outdoor spaces and the porch swing. Plenty of room. So quiet from one room to the next made for great sleeping. Easy drive. All we heard were birds. No bears!!
Beautiful cabin! Enjoyed our stay. It was so nice to have a covered shelter to park under, unload people or groceries. Quick drive to the main parkway.
This is a well suited cabin, in a great location, and has a majority of the amenities one would desire. We enjoyed our stay. The one level entry with covered drive is excellent. There are numerous items that are either broken or could use some refresh/repair. Don't let this take away from the entirety of the cabin experience. The items we noticed were sent to the manager of this property and we believe they will correct them in a timely manner. This could affect ratings in the long run if not corrected.
The cabin was acceptable. It had a lot of things about it that drew us to it. We loved that it was accepting of dogs, had a nice yard to play in, a hot tub, screened in porch, and a car port. The downsides are the amenities that need to be fixed. None of the 3 coffee pots fully worked (this included 2 newer looking keurigs). Of the 5 arcade machines, only 3 worked. The TVs were nice looking, but extremely slow and out of date, which made it hard to bring up any subscription services like Netflix, Disney, or Amazon prime. The couch on the main level was extremely worn and used and needs replaced. There’s a shelf in the fridge that is cracked, and the cooking utensils need to be looked at (we didn’t have any spatulas and the hand mixer didnt work). The owner did say he would have maintenance address this asap, but it didn’t matter for our stay. If the proper upkeep is taken, this cabin will for sure be a 5 star from me the next time.
We selected this property expecting a high-quality stay based on the listing; however, several issues impacted our overall experience.Upon arrival, one of the bedrooms had blood-stained bedding, with visible staining extending into the mattress. While replacement sheets were provided, the condition of the mattress itself remained a concern and raised questions about overall cleanliness standards. There were also multiple maintenance-related issues, including a loose and unstable toilet, a broken shower handle, and several reclining chairs in the lower-level area that were not functioning despite being plugged in.During our stay, we chose not to have repeated maintenance visits inside the property due to a personal medical situation and a desire to avoid ongoing disruptions. This decision should not take away from the fact that these issues affected the usability and overall experience of the home.We attempted to resolve the matter directly with the host but were ultimately unable to reach a fair resolution without escalation through VRBO.Based on our experience, I would recommend that future guests confirm that all amenities are fully functional and that cleanliness standards are met upon arrival.
Me, my brother, sister and mom gathered to spend quality time! We stumbled upon The Island and had a great day. The pool and playground was a great way to spend some down time.
The cabin is in much need of updating and so many things were broke and needed to be fixed , the cabin was for up to 14 people and and had 3 steak knife which were completely dull, the inside refrigerator shelf was broke no lights in the closets , the recliners upstairs were broke the sofa up stairs was very worn out , in the theater room most recliners were broke , shuffle board couldn’t be used one of the video game machines were broke, I have never been so disappointed in place , exspecially how expensive it was to stay there, you want the people who stay there to treat the place with respect and keep it nice , but you don’t do your part in inspecting and making sure that the next people that come in have an enjoyable time I will make sure to tell my friends to stay away from this place.
Cabin was clean . 15 min drive down to pigeon forge . There is a DJ market 10 mins away for quick things. Great cabin . We like the 2 main bedrooms on main floor . Kids sleeper downstairs. We cooked three of the nights we were there. Basic cookware is there. It would be great to see the next time we come maybe some upgraded cookware. Screen in porch with ping-pong table was great. Would stay there again and will try to again in December.
