About this property

Well-kept beach trailer secluded at the end of a dead-end street in River Run Plantation. A beautiful, gated community with a pool, tennis court, basketball court, and playground. 2 private fishing piers on the Lockwood Folly River provide excellent fishing, beautiful views & a place to launch the provided kayaks. Less than a 5-minute drive to Sunset Harbor boat ramp provides deep-water access to the intercostal waterway & the Atlantic Ocean.

Outside, the large wrap-around sun deck is partially shaded by gorgeous oak trees. This space provides an outdoor extension to the living space. Inside, the house has a fully furnished kitchen, living room, three bedrooms with five beds total (two queens & a full-size bunk bed w/ twin trundle-comfortably sleeps 9), and two full baths. The master bedroom boasts an adjoining master bath with a large garden tub & stand-up shower. Holden Beach, Southport & Ocean Isle are a 20-minute drive. Wilmington airport & downtown area is less than an hour's drive.

Nice but not up to par

Nice area and quiet Needed to clean floors, clean and change air filter on HVAC UNIT and water in kitchen and bathrooms had sulfur odor from well water which was unpleasant that was not mentioned on the description of the home

Nice Vacation Stay....

Our stay was wonderful. The Mgmt of the House was very nice and pleasant when I texted them. Overall we enjoyed ourselves after a couple of hiccups. Definitely think that others would enjoy staying there.

Great spot for a family. Easy access to River, Pool, and anything we needed. Enough space for a family of 8 without feeling crowded. Beautiful deck (wish it was screened in due to bugs), great details added inside to really make it feel personal- like we were borrowing from a friend. Hope to make it back again!

Awesome vacation

Second time there. The property is very nice. Close enough to the beach to have fun, far away enough to be super quiet and relaxing. Kids loved it. Very friendly community.

Quiet and peaceful!

The house was exactly as described! The perfect amount of space for our family of four. It was very clean and the neighborhood is great! The air conditioning was flawless- it was hot during our week so that is important. The area is quiet and a nice place to get away from it all. We enjoyed the use of the community pool. I loved the mural being painted on the deck fence! We enjoyed our stay.

Brenden & Elaine MacDonald’s home base is near Fort Bragg, NC. We purchased this property as a wedding gift to ourselves so we would have an easy get-a-way for the weekends & summertime. We chose the property for its wonderful & private location. We were particularly interested in the nearby boat ramp for Brenden’s fishing trips which he hopes to take of after his military retirement! Work & our busy family life keeps us inland so much that we decided it was a shame to let such a sweet spot sit idle when we aren’t at our home away from home. We decided to share it with the VRBO community so others could enjoy the area as much as we do.

It is a cost-effective spot to take your family or family for a beach vacation a fishing trip! The neighborhood is gorgeous. It’s full of old-growth trees & provides the same amenities as more expensive listings (pool, playground, etc).

What makes this property unique

We love the nearby beaches & quaint communities. Close enough to Myrtle Beach, or Wilmington to go sight-seeing for a day trip without being burdened by the noise, traffic & spring-breakers during your whole vacation. Oak Island, Holden Beach, and Southport are all within 20 minutes. All gorgeous locations with great food, shopping & more family-friendly than their famous neighbors. If you come to the coast for family time & relaxation, you’ve found the right spot!
