The Space:

Chez Caboose is nestled among a sea of established trees. Enjoy 1,298 square feet of adorable caboose mountain relaxation. Fully fenced back yard with 6 foot privacy fencing. All full sized appliances throughout the home. Newly added heating/ac units in the bedrooms(11/22)
All bedding will be provided along with bath towels and spa towels
Bedroom 1: (Second floor/Primary) King bed, lounging chair, and own bathroom. Mini split for added heating/air conditioning.
Bedroom 2: (Main floor) Two bunk beds with twin over full beds. Two large dressers and underbed drawers. Direct access to the back deck. Mini split for added heating/air conditioning.
We provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, cotton balls, cotton swabs, floss picks, and single use toothpaste packs. One hand towel and two wash cloths are also provided per bathroom. The bath & spa towels are not for lake use, please bring extra for the lake.
Tankless water heater for wonderfully long hot showers.
Bathroom 1: (Second Floor/Primary) Beautiful river rock shower with dual heads and sitting bench. Single sink with plenty of storage space.
Bathroom 2: (Main level) Bath/shower combo, single sink.
Living Room: Open to kitchen and dining area. 3 seat couch, love seat, and sitting bench. Natural wood burning fireplace. 50’ TV with Firestick. Wood is not provided. It can be brought, purchased at our office or locally.
Kitchen: Full-sized stainless-steel fridge, gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, large apron sink, drip coffee maker, toaster, and grill press. Fully stocked with utensils, cookware, bakeware, and dinnerware.
Dining area: Located in kitchen, seating for 4.
Laundry Room- Just off the kitchen. Full sized washer dryer. Direct access to backyard.
Deck/Backyard: Fully fenced. Large deck, outdoor dining table seats 6 guests. 6 person spa, bistro lighting, and natural gas grill(no propane tank needed).
Front Yard: Fully fenced 46” fencing.
Parking: Driveway parking for up to 2 tandem vehicles.

If traveling in summer. Like most homes in Big Bear there is no central AC. This home does have 2 AC units (one in each bedroom) Ceiling/fans are provided.
If traveling in winter, we highly suggest purchasing trip insurance! We have a strict cancellation policy and will stand by it. Winter months can be challenging with snow, ice, road closures, and other things. Cover yourself by purchasing the trip insurance.

You have access to the whole house, with exception to a few closets and a shed in the yard.

Mountain Transit pick up is .25 from the home.

City of Big Bear Lake Good Neighbor Policy must be respected at all times. Please review the city rules.
Do not exceed the occupancy limit (6 including children & infants)
Do not exceed the stated occupancy at any time during your stay. The maximum number of adult occupants may
be less than the total maximum occupancy.
NO PARTIES ALLOWED.
No parking in street or yard (2 vehicles)
Parking is only permitted in the driveway, designated
parking spaces, and garage. This includes trailers. The
maximum number of vehicles permitted is on the exterior
sign.
No amplified music 24/7
Amplified music is not permitted to be heard beyond the
property line 24/7. Close your windows to avoid music
carrying beyond the property line.
Head inside at 10:00 p.m.
Noisy outdoor activities and spa use are prohibited from
10:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
Take your furry friend with you
Take your dog with you so they do not disturb
surrounding neighbors. You will find that Big Bear Lake
is very dog-friendly!
Take trash to dumpster locations
Trash needs to be taken to a local dumpsite. Clean Bear
locations:
4190 Garstin Drive & 39690 Big Bear Blvd.
Consequences
Unfortunately, a few of our guests refuse to
extend common courtesy and neighborly
behavior toward the guests and residents
around them. For those guests who have come
to party and disrupt the peace and tranquility
of the neighborhoods, there are costly and
severe consequences.
Fines
The minimum fine for violating the rules stated
previously is $500 per violation. A second
offense is $1000 per violation.
Eviction
Unruly guests who blatantly disregard the rules
and expectations will be evicted without a
refund. In addition, costly citations may be
issued to the reservation holder.
