This ocean front home, sleeps 6 comfortably and can accommodate more but we prefer no more than 6 due to our well. This home is fully furnished by an interior designer, with fresh paint and beautifully displayed ocean front trinkets throughout. There is a huge (former working lobster) wharf and dock with many lobster traps about. This home is for rental by the week, month or yearly rentals.

The cottage is tucked away on the eastern shore of the Harpswell peninsula. Beautiful sunrises and moonrises! Very private with an awesome view of the bay. House was clean, spacious with many windows and comfortable furniture. Owners were pleasant and responsive. Definitely a place to return for next year!
We stayed at the residence for a week. The porch overlooking the water was spectacular. So much life and change everyday. We fell in love with harpswell. The house is perfect for relaxation. A home away from home. Thank you. We hope to return next year
Our stay in this beautiful home was amazing! There was plenty of room to spread out and a beautiful deck to see the sunrise and set. It is so peaceful and at night there are more stars than one could count. The beds were also very comfortable and felt like home. ( not a piece of memory foam over a stiff mattress).
Amy our host was also amazing. She was very accommodating and the check-in and out process was very easy. Amy shared that she was a short distance if we had any needs but we needed nothing everything was there and perfect! Even nice soap and shampoo for the bathroom.
They owners spared no expense and definitely went above and beyond with the furniture and electronics. There was even an electric wine cork remover on the counter and a gas grill on the deck with 2 spare tanks.
The location is Harpswell and we did go during the off season however it is located right on the coast and within approximately an hour from Portland and approximately an hour and a half form Permaquid lighthouse. Booth bay and Camden are also right in that area.
I look forward to returning some day and will definitely stay at this property when I do! Thank you for the amazing stay Amy😊
Family travel 2 adults and 2 17 year old girls. 5 night stay
Pros…Very clean, well stocked, comfortable furniture, friendly neighborhood, and nice owners.
Cons… Location; very narrow one lane road, parking is a challenge for a larger vehicle, and bring waterproof footwear. Water and rain From all the properties above runs down to the front door, lawn, and driveway.
This is a wonderful place to stay and enjoy the beauty of the area. The house is spacious, clean and updated. There was plenty of room in the house for 4-5 adults and a dog. The sunrises over the water were spectacular.
The road driving to the house is very narrow and the parking is very tight. We easily parked 3 mid-sized cars-4 would have been very tight.
As in the desciption, there is a large commercial dock, but unfortunately, I didn't have a boat with me and there is essentially no access to the water for swimming or padel boarding. The commercial dock is too far out of the water to access and even the floating dock rests about 18+inches off the water with no ladder to get in the water.
I would definitely recommend this property but just know that unless you have your own boat, you will not be able to enjoy being in or on the water.
We extended our normal 2 week stay in midcoast Maine by adding a 3rd week at this property. The house is spotless, fully equipped, and exceedingly comfortable. It's even bigger than it looks in the photos, with 2 living rooms, a separate den, an adjacent deck with dinner seating for 10 (one 4-top and one 6-top), and a yard big enough for two picnic tables plus enough room for a few dogs to run around. We enjoyed our stay very much.
We had a wonderful week in Harpswell! The home is clean and welcoming with plenty of space for all six of us. We love the private and remote location that is also very convenient to town. This was our second family vacation here and we look forward to getting back soon!
My stay at this house was mostly a lovely experience due to its location and very liveable layout. The negatives were minor and fixable mostly with improved maintenance. About half the windows do not function and the sliding screen doors need replacement. Most of the pots and pans are long past their useful life. The dishwasher, washer and dryer function but make excessive noise. Outdoor cushions are dirty and could use replacement and there was water on the basement floor from “small toilet leak” the owners know about but haven’t fixed. Their response about it being difficult to get repairs done is NOT the renter’s problem and is an unsatisfactory excuse for a property with this rental rate. Despite these irritations, I enjoyed my time overlooking beautiful Harpswell Sound on the delightful coast of Maine.
Amazing location, beautiful sunrises and views, easy access to the water and other outdoor activities, close to Brunswick for shopping, and comfortable accomodations. Owner was easy to reach and responsive. Look forward to returning in the future.
A very special place with an awesome view and water access
We enjoyed waking to the sunrise, and we spent most of our time on the large deck or down on the dock or out in our boat fishing or paddle boarding. Fishing for striped bass was memorable. The scenery is just awesome, and the spaces in the house are very comfortable for a weeklong family getaway. Thanks for a great vacation!
We enjoyed our stay last week in Harpswell. The neighborhood is quiet and the view is fantastic. Our host, Amy, was very accommodating and was quick to respond to any questions we had while stay at the house.
The location and view was beautiful and the house was very well supplied with everything we needed for cooking. The beds were comfy and best of all the hosts were exceptional. Thanks for all you did to make our Christmas exceptional.
Bright, sunny spot directly on the water w/views from every room. The house had everything we might need and very responsive property hostess. Easy 20 minute drive to Bowdoin & everything in Brunswick. Would definitely stay here again!
Really lovely home right on the bay. We did yoga on the deck in the morning and enjoyed cocktails there at the end of the day. Sunrises and sunsets were stunning. Everything we needed was right there and our host, Amy, was super-responsive to the few questions that we had! Definitely recommend as a lovely and quiet get-away!
Everything was great! Very clean, and the view was beautiful. The house has everything you need. Perfect area for relaxing and many sights to see around the area.
This home was a nearly ideal base for us to enjoy and explore the beautiful Maine coast with our energetic dog along for the trip. Our pup was occupied just watching the lobster boats and the various birds out on the bay, which meant we all got to relax on the wraparound deck. We even saw a bald eagle perch on a nearby pine tree as we were sitting outside late one afternoon!
The house is far more spacious inside than its outside appearance suggests. The household was exceptionally well-stocked with kitchenware, linens, and other typical housekeeping items that we needed for our stay. And yes, there is a pot large enough to cook the locally caught lobsters that you’ll probably buy.
The hosts also very helpfully provided a tip sheet with details about where we could eat (with or without our dog) and where we could buy some food without having to drive into to Brunswick.
Expect some noise from the engines of the nearby lobster boats. They do go out in the wee hours of the morning. We didn’t mind though—for us it was part of the coastal Maine experience.
So grateful to our hosts for making it possible to spend a week in this special location! We couldn’t have asked for a more chill or a more dog-friendly vacation.
We were looking for a nice, quiet, and beautiful getaway. But reasonably close to amenities. This place nailed it for us! Beautiful waters, Milky Way, remote and especially quiet. But close enough to run into town at will. We even drove up to Acadia National Park for mor fantastic views.
Start your day listening to lobster boats head out to sea, and end your day watching the sun set from the large deck at the back of the house. A delightful location to unwind and marvel at the beauty of Maine.
The house is good condition and is well equipped. Large enough for a family or just two people.
