The Cabin at Oak Ridge is perfect for your Gatlinburg visit! And now, we offer a 10% discount on stays of 7 nights or more. It is automatically included in your quote.

When you enter this cozy log cabin, you'll immediately notice the genuine rough hewn log walls and the craftsmanship throughout. The hand-made tile-top counters remind you that this home was built by hand with love and care. The Vista-style windows over the front doorway let in the daylight, and you can watch the full moon as it traverses them on a clear night.

Prepare your meal in the well-equipped kitchen. Pull out the dining table for your party to sit, enjoy the meal, and plan your daily adventures. The kitchen has an electric cooktop, refrigerator with freezer and ice-maker, dishwasher, electric can opener, toaster, and crockpot. For coffee , the cabin has a dual 12-cup/single cup coffee maker. If you love to grill, we have a park-style grill and picnic table!

After a day of walking, hiking, or shopping in Downtown Gatlinburg, head back to the cabin in mere minutes and slip into the hot tub to help soak those overworked legs and enjoy the mountain evening. On crisper nights, gather around the fire pit for conversation and bonding. As it approaches bedtime, lie back on the comfortable beds and tune in the HDTV to your favorite shows to end the evening.

If you need to get online to get work done or attend school online, we have strong WiFi throughout the cabin and a 100mbps connection. It is more than enough for video streaming, virtual schooling, Zoom sessions, or video conferencing.

Coming for a tournament or event at Rocky Top Sports Complex? It is only a 3-5 minute drive from the cabin on usually uncongested roads.

We have good parking for at least 3 vehicles. One parking spot level is with the main entry; great for loading/unloading or for those who may have restricted mobility

The high points of our cleaning process include the following:

Hot Tub: Drained, cleaned, and refilled after every guest; fresh Bromine added.

Wonderful Cabin, easily accessible!
We had a wonderful stay in the cabin at Oak Ridge. Tricia was great. She checked in on us via email to make sure we had everything we needed. The hot tub was great although I think we only used it once. There is a lot to do in this area. We loved that each floor had its own bathroom too! It’s was so nice for a group of adults all traveling together! We did see a bear at the cabin. We had been in the park for days, no bears. One night we came home and across the lower highway, there was a bear eating from the fruit tree in the neighbors yard. So do stay aware.

About the host

Hosted by Patricia Jester

Host profile image
We have visited Gatlinburg for over 50 years and, after taking the plunge to buy our own cabin here, we decided to share it with others so they could experience the same joy we have had here in the Tennessee Smoky Mountains!

From our very first guest, we realized just how much we enjoyed being hosts and providing our guests with 5-star stays. This is especially true when we get the nice reviews and email messages from our guests telling us about what wonderful memories they made while staying in our home.

Why they chose this property

The Cabin at Oak Ridge is so convenient to everything!

It is only 4 minutes to downtown Gatlinburg with its great restaurants, shopping, and attractions. There is a nearby grocery, easy access to Great Smoky Mountain National Park, and only 2 miles to Rocky Top Sports Complex. There is easy access to Pigeon Forge that bypasses most Gatlinburg traffic, and the proximity to the Arts & Crafts District makes for wonderful times!

Plus, there are no “scary, curvy mountain roads with 200 ft drop-offs” needed to drive to/from the cabin!

What makes this property unique

The Cabin at Oak Ridge is located a mere 3-4 minutes drive of downtown Gatlinburg, Rocky Top Sports Complex, Ole Red, Anakeesta, Ripley's Aquarium, and near multiple entrances to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Guests can easily take the "back way" around Gatlinburg to bypass city traffic and come out at the beginning of "the Spur" for the short drive to Pigeon Forge and Dollywood.

Have issues with driving on mountain roads with the steep grades, blind corners, and 200' drops on one side? You don't have to deal any of them to get to the cabin. We are a few blocks off of the E Parkway (TN 321) and you can easily get to the cabin from two different directions.

We have recently added a fire pit and seating for our guests. There is something about putting down the technology and gathering those close to you around a fire for quality time that you cannot put a price on.

Note that when using the sofa bed in the living area to sleep 8, you will reduce the sitting space. Some past guests have noted that it can get a little "tight" in the living room area. As a result, we prefer to limit the cabin to 6 people and certainly not more than 6 adults. We want to be sure our potential guests are aware.
