About this property

Breathtaking Views, Secluded Cabin, Theater & Game Room, Waterfall, Hot Tub

Max’s Treehouse, a secluded retreat with breathtaking views, nestled on the mountainside amongst the tall relaxing trees.

ROAD DISCLAIMER: PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING:

In the Smokies, we think getting there is half the fun, BUT the road to our cabin, while normal for most locals, may not be for everyone. Guests will drive through a gate along a private driveway that is gravel, winding, and reasonably steep in some areas. Some guests may not be comfortable driving the 1-mile climb from the start of the gravel road to the cabin. Refer to the video in our photos.

Other things to note:

-For safety concerns the fireplaces are currently not operating.
-The 5th bedroom (lowest level) is only accessible from outside.
-The 6th bedroom is a private tiny cabin adjacent to the main cabin.
-Due to our proximity to the forest and the National Park we do not offer a grill.
-The outdoor shower is shut-off from Oct-Feb due to low temps.

About the host

Host profile image
We are born and raised Texans who love to travel and developed a love for the Great Smoky Mountains and Tennessee. Our family of four spends as much time as we can there, but we're also fans of the Mouse and frequent Disney World (and Land) when we need our fix!

Why they chose this property

When we visit Max's Treehouse, we can feel the stresses just melt away. There's something about being up in the trees, with just the wind blowing through, birds chirping, and squirrels running across the branches, that brings a certain kind of peace to your soul. We've created a comfortable and inviting space where you can relax and enjoy time spent with your family, just like we have done.

What makes this property unique

This property is unlike many others in the Smokies. It's a much different experience from the resorts as it's very private and secluded. Though, it is clearly a cabin the proximately to the trees and thoughtfulness of the designers to not disturb the cabins natural surroundings will make you feel close to nature...like you're in a giant treehouse!
