We had a great stay and it met our families needs very well. Everyone had separate space and made for a comfortable stay. It was also reasonable proximity to activities around the lake.

Our family had a wonderful vacation at Sunset House. The property was perfect for our group of 12. The home was clean, well stocked and had plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen was large enough for all of us to gather and the outdoor patio was perfect! Scott was easy to reach and had plenty of suggestions for activities and dining in the area. My grandchildren have already asked if we can all go back soon!

Scott was very accommodating and responsive before and during our trip! The house had everything we needed and the location is super convenient to Safeway and Raley’s. We also loved the house design, layout, and large kitchen plus common areas.

Great location. Unique architecture!

Just be aware that owner lives in the house and so there is somewhat limited access to closet and/or shelf space.

Hi Patricia. We had A TON of snow during your visit (huge snow winter '22/'23) and as a result the Hot Tub was inaccessible and there were some other snow-related house issues. One of those rare cases where you really can have TOO MUCH snow. We've since replaced the hot tub... Thank you for the feedback

I would give this home SIX stars if I could! We had our extended family of 12 stay at the Sunset House for the 5 days leading up to New Year's Day, and the experience was truly memorable. One of the most beautiful, unique, and interesting homes I've ever seen. Our host was always available, gracious, and helpful with access instructions and other how-tos.

An amazing family option

We stayed at the sunset house with our big extended family- 13 ppl. Plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable. An easy 15 min ride to Northstar every day and had fabulous snow for an awesome week on the slopes. . Most nights we cooked in the beautiful kitchen that had everything we needed and then some! The house belongs to a family - so don’t expect an empty vacation rental - that said, most rooms have plenty of space to unpack and enjoy, with the exception perhaps of the master bedroom.
