About this property

Away From it All; Heart of the Hill Country! The Wind Chime Ranch Guesthouse

This fully furnished and appointed guest house is secluded in location but close enough to Kerrville and Fredericksburg that you can escape to play, dine or explore. A great location for those traveling on interstate 10 as it is just off the route, but secure behind a locked gate and private. Also a great location for hunters visiting the area who want to stay in a comfortable atmosphere with an appropriate decor for your adventure. The home is also perfect for stargazers or those looking to view astrological events as there is very little light pollution! This home has 2 queen beds, one in the master, the other in one of the guest rooms across the split floorpan home. The third bedroom has two twin beds.

Excellent
We stayed to be near our granddaughter’s wedding activities but wished we would have booked an additional day to sit on the porch, walk the picturesque grounds and just watch the deer and chickens out the window. Every element of this place is therapeutic to your soul! Steve and Cathy are extremely courteous, helpful, friendly, encouraging, talented, creative and respectful hosts. Very comfortable and homey and remote place to stay!

Lovely Hill country and quiet
It was a great escape. No city or highway noises. Deer showing up in the morning. House was great, clean and you had the feeling of home. Very relaxing. We would definitely make another trip to stay here again!

Absolutely Wonderful
Absolutely wonderful stay. The home is beautiful, the surroundings wonderful, and the host amazing. We had ample space for a family of five adults and two children. We were looking for seclusion in a comfortable setting and we found it! We look forward to being back again!

About the host

Host profile image
Owners Steve & Cathy Becker escaped California in 2021 where Steve retired from the Napa Fire Department and Cathy owned a business. They now consider themselves proud Texans. Steve is back on the job entering his 32nd year in the Fire Service, now with the local volunteer fire department and Cathy is getting her business established locally. In downtime the couple enjoy food, wine, festivals, outdoor activities and working on the property.

Why they chose this property

The Wind Chime Ranch Guesthouse is just off Interstate 10 with very easy access and the ability to turn around large vehicles while parking off the road behind a locked gate. The home is stocked with anything you will need for short or extended stays. It is central to many of the larger hunting ranches in the area, Fredericksburg, Kerrville, Hunt, Ingram and other Hill country destinations. It is far enough away from cities to have and exceptional ability to watch the stars or other astrological events. Have a special need or request, if we can pull it off, we will!

What makes this property unique

Please be aware, we are a rural property. Being approximately 30 minutes to town we suggest shopping for all groceries on your travel path to the property. Please also know we are now very restrictive with pets and will require advanced notice and agreement to accept any animals. Night time travel in the area does have significant deer hazards on our roadways so please drive with caution.
