About this property

Welcome to the Rio Mar Beach Resort! The villa is located in the gated complex of the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Beach Resort and Spa. It has a private terrace with breathtaking views overlooking the golf course. The unit is fully furnished to accommodate up to 8 guests comfortably, including 24 hour security and 2 parking spots assigned to the unit. It comes with 2 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, living room and dining. The pool is fun for the whole family to enjoy. High speed internet and smart TV provided.

Penthouse unit with vaulted ceilings, on the golf course, 3 min to Owner's beach club (pool, beach chairs, etc.) and casino, 2 min walk to villa pool and across the highway from El Yunque Rain Forest. The hikes are beautiful. Try surfing, scuba diving, and fishing.

Full use and easy access to the unit and amenities. Go for a swim!

A piece of paradise

Our family of five had a great stay here! The villa has such wonderful views of the El Yunque rain forest. You can walk to the villa pool or go to the designated beach/pool for this villa which is SO BEAUTIFUL and just past the Wyndham beach resort with private parking. Designated beach has loungers included just so you know and a juice truck on the weekends. We had drinks/lunch/dinner in the actual resort a few times but there are so many placed to eat across the highway or in Loquillo. I highly recommend this place UNLESS you need to wake up to the ocean view or don't want to get in your car to go to the beach this place is great. Golf looks amazing, we did pay a court fee to play tennis on the clay courts as well one day. Only negative about the cleaning was our feet were really dirty so maybe house cleaning can up the mopping a notch. We also liked having a 3rd half bath since we have 4 women in the family. Thanks for a great stay!

You can do better...

Four main issues: - ants infest any sort of packaged food (e.g. bag of cookies, box of donuts) left on the counter - the air conditioning sounds like a plane taking off and is right next to the bedroom, guests in both rooms were awoken several times a night - the beach club access is a no go as the beach club is not maintained (seaweed all over the beach), its largely deserted (no food/bev/beach chairs/attendants). You need to go to the Wyndham hotel beach where they won't give you chairs/towels as you are from the condos. They seemed okay serving us at the hotel pool, though the listing says folks in the condo don't have access to it. - No cable TV only smart TV

Nice potential but needs some upgrades

Property is nicely located but no information about how to access beach club & asking the gated security only resulted in a parking pass on the dashboard for our car. My brother in law is from PR so language not a barrier. We did get to the Wyndham & my wife/sister in law got massages but most guests have wrist bands and any where near the pool, tiki bar or beach they flag you and ask for your room #. Access to the condo was easy but upon entering we were disappointed to find beds left unmade, towels piled on floor in kitchen & no cleaning done. As our flight was delayed, we arrived at midnight so had to do 2 loads of laundry (thankfully we brought some laundry detergent as none was there) which took some time in the stackable washer drier. The property manager was sympathetic & credited us the cleaning fee plus a portion of nights stay but it left a poor taste as a first impression. Property also could use some upgrades as it’s in older condition.
