About this property

Spectacular Views I at Elysian Beach Resort

See the spectacular views from our quiet top floor 1,800 sq. ft. three bedroom, four full bath, non-smoking condominium at the Wyndham's Elysian Beach Resort overlooking beautiful Cowpet Bay (also see our other almost identical three bedroom condo, VRBO #837004, at the same resort). Our top floor condo has all the features that you would want in a vacation condo as we stay there several weeks per year. The living area has a sectional sofa, a large TV, a DVD player and wireless internet service. It has a covered balcony with table, chairs, and Weber electric BBQ grill. The dining area has a table that seats six or eat on the balcony that seats six. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances (oven/cooktop, dishwasher, microwave), quartz countertop, and an eating bar with three counter stools.

There are two spacious bedrooms on the main floor, both with a king beds and one has an additional single bed. The third bedroom is in a loft setting with a king bed. Also available is a Pack And Play for infants. All three bedrooms have high vaulted ceilings, individual quiet split air conditioning units, ceiling fans, TVs, dressers and closets. Each bedroom has a private bath with two sinks (one in loft) and shower. The fourth full bathroom has a combination tub/shower. All bedrooms have private balconies with great views of Cowpet Bay and nearby islands (you can even see St. Croix on a clear day). The loft deck is over-sized (13'x18') and is perfect for enjoying the views, socializing, sunbathing and star gazing.

It only takes 3 to 4 minutes to walk to the beautiful palm tree lined beach where there are complimentary beach and lounge chairs. Here you can bask in the sun or lay under the shade of a palm or seagrape tree. The beach has a large, protected swimming area and an area where you can snorkel. Next to the beach is a large beautifully landscaped pool with hot tub. There is also a beach/pool bar and two great restaurants. Caribbean Fish Market serves dinner from 5pm to 10pm and brunch on Sunday. Sangria's is open from 7:30am to 8pm with only pizza served after 6pm. On site we have a tennis court, fee exercise room (currently closed), fee Health/Beauty/Massage Spa (currently closed) and water-sport rentals.

In the nearby town of Red Hook, you can take a ferry to St. John and the British Virgin Islands (passport required for BVI). The town of Red Hook has a dozen restaurants, a grocery store, gift and specialty shops, and a large marina. All of this is within a mile and a half of our condominium.

The unit and condo complex was spotless, well maintained and very comfortable. The owners were great to work with - responsive, helpful and easy throughout the entire process. The condo worked out perfect for our two families! Kitchen well stocked. A separate patio off of each bedroom so you could have quiet time with your coffee in the morning, and the way they were laid out you could find shade, if needed. Really loved views and proximity to Red Hook. Beds were comfortable and had updated quilts from the pictures. The 4th bathroom was bonus! Washer/dryer worked great. Stairs to unit are easy. Lots of stairs to get to / from pool and beach but we didn’t mind. Plenty of chairs at beach and pool but I think we were they on off peak week. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing vacation at this condo! They weren't kidding when they named it "Spectacular Views". This was a "gal's trip" and we had everything we needed for a perfect week. The condo is exactly as described. Very clean and well-appointed. The host reached out to us several times prior to the trip to be sure we had all the information we needed. Amazing! As soon as you open the front door you see the ocean from the back sliding glass doors to the patio. All three bedrooms have their own private patio with beautiful views of the ocean. Very clean and spacious. Plenty of room for our family of 6 adults. The kitchen is well equipped. The resort grounds are clean and well maintained. The beach is beautiful and has great snorkeling. The pool is beautiful also. Well supplied with coolers, bags, and ice for the beach. We highly recommend and will definitely be back!

It was our first trip to the USVI and our stay couldn't have been better. The property owners communication was excellent; clear, concise and very helpful. The condo was spacious, clean and a great location on the island. We visited many beaches on the island but found the quaint and quite beach at the Elysian was our favorite and just a short walk from our front door. If we travel to St. Thomas again, this will be our spot.

The condo provided plenty of room for all of us and was pretty spot onto the listing. I think the kitchen could’ve been better stocked with things people need and some things need to be replaced like the frying pans and the wine opener, which was broken. There was an abundance of some things and other essentials were missing. It also would’ve been nice to have more than just one bath towel per person. Lastly, it was a bit of a hike down to the beach, but if necessary, you could always take your car down and then drive back up. We would consider staying there again.

Beautiful bay with wonderful calm water and quiet beach

Wonderful condo , so much space and a spectacular view of Cowpet bay . Everything you could need supplied by Richard with detailed instructions to help you get settled in .short walk down steps to a beautiful private beach with easy access into the ocean , calm waters and soft sand . Susan and Rick Taylor live in Wilmington DE, where they were born and raised. We also lived in Tulsa OK for 15 years. We have three married daughters and each of them gave us a grandchild in 2008, one in 2010, two more in July 2011 and last one in January 2014.

Why they chose this property

We spent our 30th wedding anniversary with our family in St. Thomas and fell in love with the island. After visiting many other islands, we returned a year later looking for real estate. We stayed at the Elysian and realized the location on island, beach, facilities, and condos couldn't be beat. The rest is history.

What makes this property unique

The property is very well maintain. On site there are two great restaurants, a beautiful uncrowded palm tree lined beach, a large swimming pool with hot tub and pool bar, a tennis court, an exercise facility (currently closed), a beauty/health/massage spa (currently closed), and a sports equipment rental hut.
