About this property
The Timberline - Sleeps 5, 2 Decks, Firepit, Hot Tub
Color me happy in the mountains in this cozy stylish A-Frame mountain getaway aptly named The Timberline. This two bedroom and loft restored 1970's chalet is set right at tree line with paved easy access from Maggie Valley, making it the perfect place to spend a weekend or more enjoying all the amenities this beautiful area has to offer. This small but mighty home will impress you with its sloping roof, overhanging eves and large expansive windows. From your arrival, you will notice the care and attention to detail the homeowners have put into the remodel of this property. From the front door where festive lights greet you from the front deck to the firepit with its colorful Adirondack chairs - every space speaks the word "welcome."
As soon as you enter the house, you know you are right at home. Feel the coziness surround you as you move into the open living space with exposed loft area and open beams. Imagine catching up with friends or your favorite book in front of the gas fireplace - don't forget the floor pillows are there for a purpose! Contemporary furnishings with colorful accent pieces abound throughout the house, all of which make the entire home lively and warm. Enjoy a meal al fresco on either of this home's two deck areas, which include seating and rockers for taking in the mountain air. On the inside, the round mid-century dining table is the perfect spot to play a game of cards. The gas grill on the front deck will allow your chef be able to visit with family and friends gathered around the outdoor firepit or in the BRAND NEW four person hot tub. The well-appointed kitchen featuring bar seating is where everyone can plan their next day's adventure. There's also a coffee station for your morning cup of joe as well as a Bluetooth Marshall speaker located in the living room area for your listening pleasure. A thoughtful home guide is provided with all of your amenity information.
Modern whimsical touches and stunning artwork continue to be found in the large primary king bedroom with primary bathroom with tub and shower en-suite. A full-sized washer and dryer can also be found there. The second bedroom contains a full bed and upstairs, the loft area contains a twin daybed - perfect for getting away from the crowd. Each bedroom has a flat screen TV with Roku, Hulu and Disney+. A second full bathroom with shower is on the main level.
Central heat/AC, Smart TV’s, Spectrum High Speed Internet and Wi-Fi, Gas grill, Gas fireplace, Washer/Dryer. The Timberline is a beautiful property that will give you the full mountain experience, with the convenience of being close to town.
Please note this is not a dog friendly property. Unauthorized pets on property will incur a $300 per pet penalty.
There is so much to do around this vacation home all year-round. The Timberline is easy paved access during the summer months and is located just a few minutes’ drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area (known for being one of the first ski resorts in the US to open each year), Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on the History Channel's “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. In about 25 minutes, you could be in Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street in Waynesville and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing. This home is about a 20 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Harrah's Cherokee Casino (even if you do not gamble, Harrah's has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday).
A little more than 50 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America's largest and most visited privately-owned home), many great restaurants and micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 30 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.
Approximately, 1 hour away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are just under 1 hour 35 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (home of Dollywood).
The approach to this home is a moderately inclined paved road. This home is roadside and has a short flat gravel drive.
