Located just 15 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge, ALMOST HEAVEN is a mountain getaway retreat featuring spectacular long-range mountain views from the home, porches, and decks; and welcoming you with all the comforts and conveniences of modern living. ALMOST HEAVEN is perfect for a couples' weekend, fun family memory-making, and gathering friends. Whether you want to sit and relax, take peaceful scenic drives to enjoy the fall mountain colors, or run headfirst into adventure ALMOST HEAVEN waits for you!

ALL ROADS AND THE SPACIOUS DRIVEWAY LEADING TO THIS PREMIER PROPERTY IN THE EXCLUSIVE MY MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY ARE PAVED AND EASILY ACCESSED IN 2-WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES /MINIVANS.

You will enjoy the beautiful view to the west across a valley approximately 30 miles to a blue mountain range. Breathtaking sunsets are visible from the living room, bedroom, large open wrap-around deck, screened-in porch, fire pit or hot tub.

The porches and decks are fully-furnished with mountain style chairs, rockers, couches, and swings that accommodate relaxed lounging and provide a great place for bird watching the many species of birds that visit. Roast hot dogs, marshmallows, and visit at the outdoor fire pit while enjoying picturesque mountain scenery. Unwind at the end of the day by taking a dip in the hot tub or sip wine on the swing.

The extensive, professionally-landscaped yards include variegated cypress, Leland cypress, willow, dogwoods, wild cherry, pine and various hardwoods. During your visit chances are you may see wildlife including deer, wild turkey, fox, rabbit, and squirrel. Black bears have been seen in the area on rare occasions.

This beautiful home offers an open living/dining area with a gas fireplace, fully functional modern kitchen, master bedroom with a king size bed and a full private bath all on the main floor. Upstairs is a bedroom with twin beds, private full bath with jetted tub. There is even a small futon for extra lounging space as well as a small desk. Downstairs is a comfortable den with a gas fireplace and sofa with pull out queen size bed. We have added a foosball table and a Ms. Pac-Man arcade system. There is also a lovely bedroom with a queen size bed with double glass doors that lead to the backyard. Completing this floor is a full private bath and a full-size laundry room. 8 people will sleep comfortably. All bedrooms, living room and den have modern flat-screen TV's connected to the Dish Network. We are working to consistently improve, update, and make our home even more comfortable for you!

Almost Heaven lives up to it's name. The setting is like a national park, the view gorgeous! The cabin is lovely, well appointed and comfortable. The many amenities added to the charm and enjoyment: gas fireplace, hot tub, game room, and our favorite the back deck to sit and drink in nature's beauty. Great stay! Our group of four seniors had a super stay at Almost Heaven! More than enough room. It has a nice kitchen to cook any of your meals. There are relaxing views from the screened in porch. Continue out on the open deck to get a closer look of the beautiful mountain sunsets. Booking was very easy! The manager, Rachel was quick in responding to messages and provided great resources of information to plan your stay! Also, provided a personalized greeting for a special touch! Pricing was very reasonable. The check-out instructions were super easy. We would book again!

Why they chose this property

After years of looking for a cabin that was "perfect" for our family, we met Frank and Nancy and found their lovely cabin called ALMOST HEAVEN. As the previous owners, Frank and Nancy facilitated the gathering and memory-making moments for many guests over many years. We hope to continue this legacy and open our home for you to enjoy! After all, these views MUST be shared!

What makes this property unique

We love the screened in porch for relaxing in the evenings and the deck for a morning coffee. The incredible space around the home, including the circle driveway provides ample room for our three children to run and play outside.
