Matt is a wonderful and accommodating host. The property is very well maintained, instructions are clear, concise and the amenities are very thoughtful. My wife and I, along with our dogs, traveled from SC for a family event and Matt was extremely responsive and respectful during our entire stay. Backyard is completely fenced in which is a huge plus so we didn’t need to leash our dogs everytime we needed to let them out. Dog poop bags are also conveniently located.Plenty of access points to the lake, several restaurants around (highly recommend Mike’s Pizza, by the way), and really close to convenience stores, gas stations and the quaint town of Hawley.Everything worked exactly as expected. We will definitely be repeat guests. 10/10 Highly Recommend
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this adorable property. The house was extremely clean and our teens loved the game shed and fire pit. This is a cute house in an up and coming neighborhood. Major plus it is close to both the boat launch and restaurants/breweries!
The location was excellent. The house was on a quiet street in a quaint, lakeside community. The house was very comfortable and had everything to make for a very pleasant and comfortable stay. We can highly recommend this property.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and located close to hiking, restaurants, etc.
We enjoyed the game shed and especially the outdoor fireplace in the evenings.
Would stay again.
had a fun time, loved the game shed & patio/fire pit area. wish there had actually been 5 kayaks as the listing said (there was only 1). other than that, great house, would definitely stay here again

Thanks for the kind review! Note, We do have 5 kayaks and a canoe. They are located between the 3 neighboring properties (between 2 separate racks) we have this listed in our description and guidebook. Some are at the rack you saw and the rest are on the other side of the house. Wish you would have reached out as they are always there for use!
Our week at Lake Wally was rainy, but we still enjoyed it because the house was comfortable, clean and well furnished. Great location on the lake, in proximity to a lot of great places.

This little lake cottage is perfect! Nicely renovated with a full kitchen & 3 bedrooms - all really cozy & comfy. We LOVED it!
Nice home in Hawley, close to the downtown and other activities in the area. Host is responsive to questions and needs. Would recommend if you are in the Pocono region.
Quiet neighborhood, great back yard and game shed. Nice open first floor concept with all bedrooms upstairs. Loved that their was air in each room. Also happy we could fit our boat trailer in the driveway. It was a wonderful trip for us.
We enjoyed our 3 day stay at this beautiful home. There was plenty to do and when we wanted to relax we were very comfortable. Thank you for hosting us. We all had a great time!

The operator responded promptly to communications and was helpful and cordial. The house was clean, neat, cozy, and homey. Not elegant, but casual, relaxed and family style. Just right for us. If I go up that way again, I will definitely stay there. As a matter of fact, knowing that place is there makes it more likely I will return and spend more time there. It couldn't have been much better.
Nice place, kids loved it!
The fireplace out back could be switched we tried every night to get a fire started and it kept going out, I even bought fire starter.

I am sorry you felt that the firepit out back was the issue causing your fire to go out. There have been hundreds of fires with no issues in there and I feel it potentially could have been the wood you were using and (properly seasoned or wet). We wish we could have earned that final star or you have reached out to us about this as we could have provided a potential fix.
Thanks for Matt and Erin for hosting our first visit to the area. House was exactly as promised. Game shed was a huge hit with the two six-year olds. Backyard was perfect for a fire and s'mores.

Love to see the callouts on the game sheds. Put that in for somewhere kids can hang out and while the parents know everyone is safe and sounds. Thanks for the kind review!
We had a wonderful stay at Matt’s property on the lake. The house was in close proximity to the town of Hawley as well as breweries and other restaurants. We were able to bring our dog which helped with the convenience of booking this trip and property. The house had everything we needed and the outdoor fire pit made for a great night with family. I would highly recommend this property especially if you are traveling with your furry friends!
We had a really nice stay! The coffee machine wasn’t working and the owners got us a new one immediately- on Christmas Eve no less! My in laws live on the lake and it’s nice for us to have a place on our own while we visit. Will book again!

When we can correct something, we can't control we do our best to remedy the situation. Appreciate the kind words and the review and glad you had a good stay!
This property was great! Clean and bright - everything seems new. This had everything we needed to relax; games, books, record player etc. Outside is even better, nice size yard that had a great firepit area - completely fenced so the dogs could run around. Loved the game shed in the back! Very quiet neighborhood but close to everything. Loved it and will be back.

Looking forward to hoting your group again in the future. Will definately have some more games by then for some new fun
We stayed for 7 nights to visit family. The layout is as presented; furnishings are newer and in good condition as is the kitchen equipment. The kitchen is fully equipped for everyday meals. Wall mounted screens allow access to streaming services; the yard is fenced and comes with a fun game shed! The neighborhood and location in relation to the lake is very good. Two items that we had a problem with. The bed in the primary bedroom felt like one your son found in his dorm room, not very comfortable. The other item of note is that the home needs a good, deep cleaning. The service the owners use do a quick surface cleaning but don't appear to go beyond that. The windows, exterior doors, and floors throughout the home are the worst. If the owners clean it up and invest in a better frame/box spring and mattress for the primary suite, we'll be back.
Overall, this is a nice place and we consider staying again. Details like the game shed, fenced in backyard and puppy bowls and treats for furry friends set it apart. The yard is spacious. Pretty kid friendly and had basics for cooking. Also note that many restaurants around the area close pretty early and/or close several days a week, so something to consider. We traveled in the summertime so really peak season for the Poconos. If you're traveling in slower months, I imagine there might be even less options. Pros: It's quiet and secluded, so very relaxing. The space is ample so even with 5 people we didn't feel like we were on top of each other. Indoor and outdoor dining options - cute breakfast nook inside and picnic table outside. The fire pit gave a great vibe and gave us the perfect mix of outdoor (camp-like) experience with the comforts of home. The hosts did a great job of communicating directions and leaving helpful information in the house. And, as mentioned before, the fenced in backyard and game shed.Cons: Because of the secluded location, you really can't walk anywhere because everything is private property - so no morning strolls, you will need to get in the car and drive to one of the trails. The beds are uncomfortable. For rentals, it's pretty standard not have to the MOST comfortable beds, but these were worth noting. When using hot water the whole house rumbles (sure there's a reason, but just kind of odd). The cleanliness of the house was lacking.

Thanks Ashley for all the detailed feedback. Just a few Notes:
- most people walk along paupack point road for strolls since its a 10mph street. Very dog, walking, running friendly, and while it may not be a park or hiking trail it is still a nice place to walk safetly.
- The matresses we use are standard 8" memory foam matresses, They are very highly rated, but I will say they are definaetly not for everyone as they tend to be on the firmer side. Some have raved about them some have not.
- The noise from the hot water hear is becuase it is on demand, Yes it does make noise as its next to the main bathroom in a closet in the master, but that is just how it functions unfortunaelty. The benefit is there is endless hot water so you never have to worry about cold showers.
