Highlights

The one thing Beach Shack isn't is a Shack! This gorgeous cottage has just undergone a total transformation and you will not believe your eyes. The first thing you'll notice is the brand new, expansive decking that runs the entire width of the house. Imagine yourself sitting right there at the water's edge enjoying that morning coffee or evening cocktail. Plenty of high-end deck furniture so there is comfortable seating for all. There's even a bar height table and chairs in the event you choose to dine al fresco. Pro-Tip: Listen for the roar of the Blue Angels. You'll have a front row seat as these skillful pilots practice their maneuvers and formations along the coastline.

The Space

But the view doesn't stop at the deck! Step inside to the fresh, new living room with all new windows, flooring and furniture. This is the perfect spot for TV watching, hanging out or gazing at the phenomenal view just outside. You'll find a large dining table with seating for 6 and the counter provides additional seating for 5 so your entire group can dine at the same time.

The kitchen is a showstopper with designer granite, stainless appliances and a farmhouse sink. You'll really appreciate the finishing touches that Beach Shack provides for those nights when you choose to dine in.

Beach Shack offers 3 bedrooms. There is a King bedroom with a private bath (stand up shower) and a second King Room that shares the hall bath (tub/shower combination) with the bunk room. The bunk room contains a Full over Full bunk bed. There is also a sleeper sofa that provides additional sleeping space.

* Dogs considered with a $100 non-refundable per pet fee, maximum of 2 dogs
* Renter must be at least 25 years of age. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

This unit has an outdoor BBQ pit, guests will need to provide charcoal and lighter fluid.

Fort Morgan

Located a scenic 15 miles from Gulf Shores, you'll find everything you need close at hand. Dollar General and Sassy Bass Market are just a few miles away and have all the basics you might need. There are several restaurants nearby offering a variety of tasty dishes. Tacky Jack's, Sassy Bass (2 locations), Coast and brand-new Jesse's (opening soon) to name a few. Some venues even offer live, local entertainment.

Fort Morgan fishing pier is now open, and anglers will have access to convenient inshore fishing and the abundant species locally available.

Be sure and visit nearby Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge with over 7,000 acres of coastal habit. You'll be able to hike through the preserve and observe local flora and fauna. There are 4 trails, varying in size and terrain, and you'll definitely want to make time to visit this natural oasis.

Great location!

Great spot and beach access

Had a great experience. My only negative is that upon check in the placed smelled a bit like animals. Went to store and purchased glade plug in and candles and neutralizer spray and that took care of it. Everything met expectations and we had a wonderful time and would stay there again.

Tips for the Coastal View and VRBO

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our desire this year was to rent a house and be on the beach. This rental fulfilled that desire. However, as consistent VRBO renters, we were disappointed. First, while most properties right next t9 us had parking out of the sun, ours did not. Creating an outdoor space under the rental or at least clean up and decanter would be an improvement. Interior was mostly clean until you moved things on the kitchen counter. There were NO CLOSETS so everything stayed wrinkled and folded. And no ironing board kept us looking frumpy when we went out. For the price that was paid, these VRBO renters were not impressed. Other than location, not much else impressed.

We slept in the beachside bedroom & the bed was very comfortable. Listening to the waves every night was so relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cookware & necessary small appliances. The bathroom had great water pressure and plenty of fluffy towels. The outdoor furniture was very nice & perfect for meals outside & relaxing during the day. The property manager was very responsive & kind when we had an unfortunate situation with our dog & the screen door. The end result was more than fair.The only issue was our gps told us we'd arrived at Privateer Ct. It took a min for us to figure out we had to go to the next driveway. LOLI have already recommended this property to friends & sent them the link.

Great location and great views. Not clean. Dog hair on floors under bed, under couches and in corners of room. This should be deep cleaned after every departure. Older floors. Many soft spots and cracks.

the truth.. and nothing but the truth

first : nothing in these items would prevent me from renting the property again, if so inclined. single biggest plus : shaded deck with high chairs and table AND....house sits in front of houses on each side, providing a sense of privacy. no closets, suggest more hooks. well thought out, simple design, functional. no under house parking, but gravel driveway permits turning and protection from getting stuck in sand. use a sun shield in car. internet went out several times ( as mentioned in house info. ) very irritating at the moment, but comes back after a period of time. i would think the tax base in baldwin county would allow for the neccesary infrastructure to make the whole area as good as silicon valley re: connectivity. all appliances functioned normally. hvac perfect. we have been renting in the area ( gulf shores, ft. morgan ) for the last 40 years.....yes, we are old ! this house checks all the important blocks. again, the deck with shade and sun are paramount. nice job on that ! very enjoyable.

Amazing Stay

We had such a great time. The house was perfect for what we were looking for. Incredible view and only a few steps from the water. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The host had great communication and even had a hose replaced the same day we mentioned the one there was leaking. We hope to back again next year!

Perfect Relaxing Retreat

We really enjoyed our stay at the beach shack. The location on the beach was perfect for a quiet, relaxing vacation. The house had everything we needed. Check in was a breeze. We had no issues the whole trip. If you do want to goto Gulf Shores the drive is super simple, but takes about 20ish min. We spent most of our time on the porch watching the ocean and the birds. Staying in November is nice because there are so few people. We barely saw anyone on the beach. The weather was still warm ebough to enjoy our time outdoors. I would recommend to others wanting to stay in a house on the beach.

The house was well maintained, has all the modern touches and accurately matched the pictures on the website. We loved the beach access, outside shower, covered porch, well equipped kitchen and comfortable bedding. The kitchen comes with all the pots, pans, grilling items you would need - there is a toaster and coffee maker. (Bring you own coffee, seasonings, sauces etc). Don't forget to pack bug spray. (so happy to have seen other's reviews before traveling). All bedrooms come with TVs and the living room one is perfect for the family and football!The owner provided quick responses to any questions or concerns (we were travelling during Hurricane Helene). We spent most of our time on the beach, but did check out Selah Coffee and Fort Morgan Pizza which were both good. We hope to be back soon with family and friends. No complaints at all, only that the vacation is over.

Great location

Location on the beach was perfect. Away from the crowds of orange beach. House was nice. Bedrooms are small, not much room for luggage. But living/kitchen area was very spacious and updated. We loved watching the dolphins in the ocean in the mornings from our porch. Great location. Would stay here again.
