Great house for a lot of people, access to the beach and the pool. Hot tub and outdoor showers are a plus! Sunrises from the deck. We had a GREAT family vacation.
Everything was clean and as presented. The pool was a little cold for a heated pool but we made do with it. Joanne was very flexible and communicative while we were figuring out if we would be able to leave Hatteras Island on time. We stayed from 9/20/26 to 9/30/26 and were impacted by the Nor'easter. Fortunately, NCDOT did everything they could to help people get off the island and we were able to leave on time. We would definitely stay there again.
The property was just as described. Just a short walk over the dunes to the ocean front. There had been an issue with an outlet which controlled the main TV. The host immediately had maintenance come to repair the issue. This was quick and easy! The maintenance man, Brent was friendly and very helpful!
Location was great and just what we needed to escape from our busy lives. We loved that it was only a short walk to the beach. And the great room with the big windows gave endless views of the ocean and dunes.
Our family ranging from 1 to 76 years old had an amazing time! The access to beach was very convenient. The pool and the hot tub were an amazing plus. Look forward to coming back again.
Great views! Easy walk to ocean. Hot tub was well maintained. Came in at the end of a hurricane and was delayed a day getting into the place but great communication from the host!
We had a lovely time! We've stayed at many homes in Avon and Salvo over the past 35 years so I can say with excessive experience that this is a great house. It's clean, well cared for and has everything you need for an enjoyable vacation. You won't be disappointed!
We had a great time at the outer banks. The house was located far enough from busy Kill Devil Hills to be quiet and relaxing and close enough if we wanted to head into town. We enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return.
The property was mostly clean and as expected, the pool and hot tub were well taken care of, and the host was communicative. However, consistent with other similar star reviews, there are details that have not been attended to by the property management that one would expect for the price of the rental i.e. things like fans and coffee makers not functioning and big things like the decks having several exposed nails and a loose railing — or particular concern when there are small children. The basement has a strong, unpleasant odor - which may be of concern if the intention is to utilize the bedroom on that floor. The major appliances are all updated and function well, as does the elevator. In general though, the house needs some TLC - particularly new beds, outdoor deck furniture, and the bathroom areas. The location is great, but the walk across the dune is more than one may expect. The beach is clean and beautiful, but be cautioned that the surf in that location is VERY strong and, again, not conducive for young children and/or seniors wanting to be in the ocean.
1 week vacay with family; 7 adults, 2 children, 2 older well trained dogs. Enjoyed pool, easy access path to ocean. Elevator made easy access to second and third floors. Family enjoyed their time getting together.
It is an overall beautiful house that has room for plenty. It has an amazing view, especially in the third floor living room/kitchen/dining room combo. We spent a lot of time in that particular room and the balcony outside. Having the hot tub on the 3rd story balcony was a big plus as well. The house, pool and hot tub were all great. We had 4 adults and 4 kids in the pool at once and it never felt crowded. The kitchen is well stocked with just about anything you'd need to cook with, we brought our own chef knife and cutting board but it probably had that tucked away somewhere as well if I had to guess. We would absolutely come back here. There are some places to shop for a little bit of groceries nearby, a dollar general very close and a few sit down/takeout/pizza places. If you need an actual grocery store for specific things it's about a half hour away, which was not an issue in our opinion, having a short drive to town to deal with less people around was a plus for us.
Though the weather was a bit rainy the amenities made this an enjoyable stay. With the pool table, easy beach access, pool/hot tub, and a well equipped kitchen we were able to celebrate my daughter and her friends graduation comfortably with a lot of great memories. Pet friendly is always a plus for our fur baby.
Great property in Salvo NC! Great for all ages (4 to 90 y/o!). Jacuzzi, pool, and elevator drew us to the house. Beach was a short walk over the dunes. Host was quick to reply to any questions!
This house was gorgeous and spacious, great for large groups with plenty of space to gather. Even better than the clean and charming interior was the view of the sea over the dunes. The entire top floor looks out to the glittering Atlantic, just visible over the natural beauty of the dunes. Our hostess Joanne was attentive and responsive and just lovely. We had a magical week!
