Very Lovely Spot

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a great condo for small group or family that needs 3 bedrooms. The kitchen is fully stocked. The rental is clean. Location is great for beach access and watching the sun sets. Everything was great, but I’d like to recommend that the internet be upgraded. It was slow and intermittent.

Stubbs

This house was not able to be rented and the realty management company moved me into a different place. They were great at making sure I was happy and the house we stayed in was amazing. Excellent service.

Great location

This was a terrific location for us. Being able to walk out your front door 10-20 steps and be at the edge of the cliff gazing across the Pacific was magical. The living room with the huge windows was nice and the fireplace on a unseasonable SD evening was a bonus. Plenty of decent places to eat and explore close by. Parking is great. Once you find the place the first time its easy to get to.

Great Unit

Description should include the many stairs that lead to the unit. We luckily found a side ramp that made our access more manageable. Otherwise, great unit. Clean, well stocked, spacious.

The layout of the condo matched the photos online. The parking and carrying bags & bikes from the parking space was a bit challenging, but once we figured it out we managed just fine.

Great location near the ocean

The property is a bit old but was recently renovated to a decent standards. The ocean is just outside.... The view and location is unbeatable... The compound is amazing. We had our daily morning tennis court sessions and afternoon walks by the beach.... The rental company provided us with tennis rackets. Our little daughter loved the pond with fishes and turtles. We would definitely consider coming back there... There were small minuses as well (e.g. BBQ was cleaned but was not clean enough for us to use its, the gas tank was empty, the rubbish bin was broken, bathrooms are a bit outdated) but we managed all minuses because overall we had an amazing stay in this property... There is direct access to the beach with showers outside and about 100 steps down/up...

Disappointing

Wonderful location. Great view and Solana Beach is a great town. Nice people. Overall Residence not clean. Dirt/Sand accumulated in Doorways. Furniture was dirty with food stains. All Screen Doors were not working and had to be repeatedly reset in order to open and close. Many Dishes and Pans had to re-washed as they had been put away dirty. Refrigerator Water/Ice feature did not work. All Windows were dirty. Obviously not washed in a long time. Yes, we could have brought this list to the attention of the Property managers. But for a 7 day stay, it didn't seem worth it. If the owners are paying for a Professional Cleaning Service, they are not getting their money's worth.

Cleanliness is our top priority, and we prefer to know right away if there's an issue so we can alert our housekeepers. We have all windows cleaned on a monthly basis. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was my family’s dream vacation with our 3 older children. This condo was big enough for 5 adults. The grounds of complex were immaculate. I would highly recommend this place. There were some nitpicky things my wife mentioned that bothered her. The kitchen dish towels had not been washed before arrival. Also this is a home, I recommend homeowner invests in towels that are different colors. The stains on white towels although understandable are still gross to see when you don’t know how it got there. Also, invest in new washer and dryer because both do not run well. Other than that management in complex were OUTSTANDING! Views were OUTSTANDING! Sunsets were OUTSTANDING. We absolutely loved our time here in California. It was such an excellent time words cannot describe the peace we felt at this gorgeous condo.

On the bluff in Solana beach.

Very quiet spot about 100 yards from underground parking and we enjoyed the stay. We reported a broken ice and water dispenser our first day but they weren’t repaired. The Stubbs office across the street loans out coolers, boogie boards, beach towels, chairs and umbrellas at no charge, which is a nice touch not mentioned on their site. I would stay at this property again.

We stayed for a month each time and had a wonderfully responsive Relationship with Stubbs whose staff was immediately available to give us anything we needed to complete our stay or to make us more comfortable. It was certainly the best deal to book directly through Stubbs Realty for these ocean front properties Thereby by passing the via VRBO or AirBnB fees. Highly recommended.

Also, we called and asked to have the ice dispenser fixed but no one came. And the dishwasher has a large amount of calk and one could only set it at "quick wash," not terribly sanitary. If you are putting my name somewhere, it's Weggis, Switzerland, not California.I have stayed multiple times, since 1998, in Dave Stubbs condos. I feel the value for the money has, in general, gone down. Still, it's the most reasonable option for staying at the beach in Del Mar/Solana Beach.

Both properties are wonderful. However, this may become our go to property. We now have young grandchildren and the location is wonderful. The 3 year old didn't want to leave!

Fantastic beachside condo!

Really enjoyed our stay here. Perfect location steps away from the stairs down to the beach. Can hear the waves crashing and view the sunsets right from the living room. Only thing I would say needs improvement is some of the kitchenware. Minor issue. We like to cook in, and so we appreciate a well outfitted kitchen. We will come again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property grounds are amazing! Lots of stairs, plants, tennis courts, heated pool and hot tub, with great proximity to the Pacific. The condo was clean and organized. Check in and out was easy, Stubbs was very responsive. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and pans but there are no staples so shop ahead (olive oil, etc). There were also no beach/pool towels. With easy access to Solana Beach restaurants/shopping and the beach, this was a surprisingly great escape for us, and just a mile off the hustle of I 5. We would 100% rent this property again and from Stubbs Vacation Rentals.
