About this property

Basecamp for Adventurers

Our home is the original ranch home for the surrounding property. It's a unique space and not a model home but we've made it a place that will be comfortable, restful, and functional for visitors. The main dining area was once the mess hall for the local ranch hands.
Our home is ideal for climbers, mountain bikers, skiers, fishing headquarters, and hunters. If you are looking for the essence of potpourri and a hotel environment we're not likely the home for you.
Our family bases all of our adventures out of this home and we're up for powder days, single track, redpointing, and enjoying the valley. We have two dogs that are well behaved and we'd love your dogs if they are similar. If this description fits you we think you'll find our home perfect as your base camp.

Great Gunnison getaway!
We were staying in Gunnison to celebrate our son’s college graduation. This cute home was spacious, comfortable, and very close to everything! We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and all the thoughtful amenities at the house. We would definitely love to stay here again.

Overall Very Nice.
Overall it was a great place. But there is a major inaccuracy in the description. The amenities said there was a hot tub. There was not. Since this was a ski vacation this was a major issue.

About the host

Hosted by Scott

Host profile image
We're a family on bikes, skis, and love being outside. This home is a place where we can start adventures into the mountains or hang out and hit the local trails.

I've been in small business, hospitality, for over 30 years. At the heart of everything I do is hosting. My hope is that others will enjoy the simplicity of the home and make memories.

Why they chose this property

We have lots of room inside and out! Bikes, Skis, you name it you can bring it. Because we're on a corner we can accommodate a couple vehicles and families. We're walking distance to restuarants and stores. There is also a skate park and dog park within walking distance.
The house is 30 minutes from Crested Butte and Monarch ski areas. Save some money on a roomy place with a little bit of driving to get to the ski resorts.

What makes this property unique

Lots of space and two yards for dogs!
