The Boat Shed

The Boat Shed is a little hidden gem located behind Blues BBQ in Christiansted. It is surrounded by palm trees and several types of flowers and foliage. We named it the boat shed because this is where we store our boats. It is a small studio apartment with high ceilings. This property is located behind Blues BBQ, which is great if you need a quick bite to eat, and includes live music about 3 nights a week. The music is older low key music and stops around 8:30pm which is when they close. You will also see chickens on the property which will include free eggs for our guests. You will see chickens all over island.

Return the keys
Wash your dishes (no need to put them away if they are not dry yet) Take out your trash. There will be a big black trash bin in front of the rental.
Leave sheets on the bed. No need to strip the bed. Let me know around what time you plan on leaving so we can be here to get the keys from you.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Cleaning fee will be required with any pet.
Pet- If dog is left in the rental while you are exploring the island, it must be kept in a kennel.

Stephanie and Eric were wonderful host; enjoyed getting to know them, hearing about Eric's mushroom farm. We didn't realize until we got to their place that Eric sold his mushrooms to my son's restaurant! What nice coincidence The place was perfect for us; peaceful, well kept, and had everything we needed. It even included beach chairs, beach towels, and a cooler for our use.

Perfect place for two!

Stephanie was a fantastic host, the property was exactly how it was described. The blues’ backyard BBQ & grill is walking distance alway and a huge bonus. Also, there are chickens and rosters that wake you up every morning which was so cool! Great experience here, and can’t wait to be back!

Boat Shed was Perfect for Us

The boat shed is clean, has everything you need for a nice comfortable stay. The bed is comfortable and the shower is great with a great air conditioning unit also, the three most important things for us. We loved the chickens on the property and chatting to Eric, the owner.

Unit as described. Great location as a launch point for day trips to the east or west coast. Stocked very well to be able to cook meals. Hosts were extremely helpful in making recommendations. Certainly will stay again.

A very pleasant stay

We had a very pleasant stay at the boat shed. The hosts are very caring and generous, and they want you to have a positive experience. The location is good, especiaĺly if you are planning to visit various areas of the island; it's not too far from anything. The shed is well equipped and exactly like in the description. Local fauna and flora around!

Nice spot for a home base to take off for day trips around the Island. AC worked great! nice little kitchen and full sized fridge. Loved the shower. Netflix and Youtube on TV was nice to fall to sleep to. We liked the BBQ and Bar adjacent to the house. The property was just right for us.

Perfect Place to Stay While Checking Out the Island

The Boat Shed was perfect for our week-long stay on St. Croix! Everything was very clean and there were plenty of dishes for making your own dinner. Stephanie and Eric were very accommodating and shared some of their home-grown produce with us. When the electricity was off for a bit, Stephanie brought us a battery-powered fan, so we wouldn't get hot while sleeping. We will definitely be back!

Stephanie and her husband are terrific hosts. Very knowledgeable about island life and ready with great suggestions or answers to our many questions. The efficiency is perfect for two and very handy to downtown Csted. It is a great homebase for touring the East side and Blues BBQ is right out front making it easy to find and also a welcome place to grab a bite after a long day out if I didn't feel like cooking when we returned "home". We will definitely stay here again when we come back❤️

Great Experience!

Stephanie was a great host. She went above and beyond in making sure that we had a comfortable stay and had everything we needed. She even gave us eggs from her farm, which we made use of in preparing meals. I should also point out that the property is as described, centrally located to the downtown area, restaurants and other activities. Thank you so much for all your assistance over the past week!

Cozy, perfectly placed in Paradise

This was our first real vacation and our gracious host truly went above and beyond! The accommodations were spotless and provided for our every need. The small kitchenette was fully stocked with pots, pans, plates and utensils. There were plenty bath towels and beach towels. The fantastic wifi saved us on many occasions, as the cell phone signal from our US carrier was a total loss. Our host gave us a short tour of Downtown, helped us secure a rental vehicle and even provided lifts to the store for essentials both day and night. This, plus all the small details and being perfectly placed as a halfway point between the Twin Cities of St. Croix more than earned our sincere appreciation.
