This was a fantastic home! The location couldn’t have been better, and we were so impressed with how clean and well-stocked everything was. It really felt like a home away from home. The garage space was perfect for our fishing poles, which made things super convenient. Thank you for such a great stay—we’re already looking forward to booking again!
Quaint and cozy home. Spacious living room and dining room. Fully equipped kitchen. Close to stores, restaurants, cafe, dog park and the beach. The City of Algoma is a nice place.
Stay was perfect. House was clean and neighbor was quiet. It was close to everything including the grocery store and dog park. Everything felt secure but easy to get in and out. It was easy to communicate with Kay and she responded quickly to all our questions. Perfect lake and Door County location. Nice town. Looking forward to being to stay there again. We AND the dogs had a lovely time.
The house worked great for our visit to Algoma. It was clean and stocked with everything we needed. From the house it's easy to walk to the local restaurants and events.
This house fit all of our needs perfectly. Having the grocery store so close was a huge bonus. We also had a great time walking to the beach and having ice cream at the local family restaurant.
This charming, clean, well-maintained home is conveniently located across from a park and a grocery store. It is a short walk to the lakefront and downtown Algoma. My dog and I enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend this property for anyone visiting the area.
We planned a long weekend in Algoma to do some salmon fishing and had a great stay! The marina was only 4 or 5 blocks away, the house was in a great location.
This property was the perfect location in town for our small family vacation. The property came equipped with all that we would have needed. Comfortable bed. Clean upon entering. Overall great experience!
We enjoyed our stay in Algoma. Close to Door County so we were able to make day trips and still be back at the house at a reasonable hour. Nice to have the grocery store across the street and within a short walk to the downtown. Being able to have our dogs was a nice plus. Would stay there again!
Wanted to visit Door County, but found Algoma had so much to offer, we spent much more time right in town. Great food and drinks and everyone we encountered was friendly. The house is PERFECTLY located to conveniently enjoy Algoma. So neat, clean and convenient, it had everything we wanted!
We enjoyed our stay. Comfortable beds and well stocked. Only caveat is very tight space in bathroom. If you are larger or taller toilet is uncomfortable.
We stayed for 2 winter weeks & had a wonderful time. The house was everything & more! Just one block from downtown on a quiet street. The home was immaculate & the bed was ridiculously comfortable.
Kay was a fantastic host & was quick to answer any questions.
Property was in a nice location and clean. All. The cooking utensils and dishes you would need. We just would have liked a little bit more comfortable furniture. Main floor mattress is a bit too soft for us.
The kitchen was well-equipped without a dishwasher. While very clean, the bathroom was tiny. Loved the wooden floors but the decor was spartan with no reclining chairs. The strong musty basement smell when entering through the back door was offensive. The second floor bedroom was carpeted and nicely furnished.
This is an adorable house with great turn-of-the-century architecture. The location is great: a grocery store across the street, a big park close by, 2 blocks from downtown, walkable to the beach. It is an easy drive to Sturgeon Bay and all of Door County.
Communicating with Kay was super easy.
The only downside was the windows have paper blinds that make a lot of crinkly noises when the windows are open (and I kept worrying the wind would rip) and don't keep the sun out in the morning.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
Be careful.
Our stay was disappointing for several reasons. It was clear we were being monitored, which made us extremely uncomfortable. The pricing was also not transparent—hidden fees only became clear after reading through all the fine print and linked PDFs.
When I missed a payment for a pet fee, instead of receiving a polite reminder, the host sent an aggressive email referencing potential legal repercussions, which felt completely inappropriate. As fellow hosts, we expected better treatment. This experience was far below expectations, and we won’t be returning.
We (husband, two boys under 12, and our golden doodle) had a great time in Algoma, staying in this house. We felt right at home, had everything we needed to make meals, and enjoyed the comfy beds, but especially loved the location. The day we arrived, we walked to the lake and were able to hear live music and enjoy the beautiful scenery. And having a grocery store right across the street?! So so helpful! I highly suggest Son of Scaliwags for dinner - a dive bar with insanely high-quality food, and Smashed on the Rocks for the most insane Bloody Mary and a great, kooky atmosphere. We were also able to drive just 30-40 minutes away to Sturgeon Bay and rent a pontoon for the afternoon. Such a fun, enjoyable vacation! To top it all off, we were able to have our fur baby with us. Kay was great and responded whenever we needed her. Overall an amazing vacation.
the check in and out instructions were easy to follow. The house is located close to the harbor and downtown Algoma, and an easy 30-45 minute drive from your favorite Door County parks, trails, and shopping. The house has everything you need to enjoy your stay!
The beds were very comfortable.
Kitchen had wide arrange of cookware plus minor things like salt/pepper, cooking oil, etc.
Owners were very helpful in finding local places to eat.
Overall was a wonderful experience.
We had a wonderful stay at this home! The home is very clean, has everything you need and the bed is very comfy - we slept great! There's a grocery store across the street and the boardwalk and restaurants are within easy walking distance. The neighborhood was very quiet. It's located in a cute town, far enough away from the busyness of Door County (which we wanted) but so close to drive up to enjoy that as well. Communication with the owner couldn't have been better. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone. Thanks for a great place to celebrate our 35th anniversary!
