About this property

Cowboy Cabin in the Mountains - Quiet Getaway

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space.
A beautiful Log home on 70 acres.
Large vaulted ceiling with million dollar views of the Spanish Peaks and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains on one side, and on another side you can see Fisher Peak.
Enjoy beautiful sunrises, sunsets and everything in between.
Great place to get away and enjoy the very private surroundings with all the amenities of being at home!

Our “Cowboy” cabin is for any and everyone, not just Cowboys! The name comes from the entrance of the property where there are silhouettes of a Cowboy and Cowgirl!

Plenty of room to roam outside around the cabin. We have 70 acres for you to explore and hike. (But please be mindful of neighbors)
Also, because of our remote location there is wildlife that roam thru the property so don’t be surprised if you wake up to wildlife off the front porch!
**During the wet/snowy times all-wheel drive is highly suggested as the last 5ish miles to the cabin are dirt road and can get slick**

The Bunk Room has a set of bunk beds and a single twin bed. A closet and dresser as well as a TV.
The other downstairs bedroom has a queen size bed with a dresser (and mirror), a closet, as well as a small desk and chair for those of you that work remotely. There is also a crib in the room.

Downstairs bathroom has a shower and jetted tub! Great for relaxing after a long day of work or hiking or really anytime!

The laundry room is also downstairs that you will have access to! Washer and dryer, as well as a full size freezer!
*Please bring your own laundry supplies*

Upstairs (14 stairs total) brings you first to a sitting area that overlooks the entire downstairs, as well as views of the Spanish Peaks and the Sangre De Cristo mountain range. Sit down and enjoy a book while taking in the beautiful sunrise or sunset.
The master bedroom has plenty of space with a queen size bed, walk in closet, a dresser, a sitting area, and a bathroom that is connected with a walk in shower.

There are views from just about every room! Enjoy the quite serene location.

There are some board games that are provided as well as a book library. Feel free to bring a book and swap it out with one that is here!
“Bring a book, take a book”

Dogs are allowed.
But unfortunately at this time we can not accommodate cats due to extreme allergies.

** There is a security camera located at the front door for your security and ours ** As well as a Game Camera on the drive way.

While we don’t have AC throughout the house, we do have an AC unit downstairs that can be used, as well as multiple fans throughout the house.

We hope that you enjoy our “Cowboy Cabin” as much as we do!

Home away from home.
Absolutely beautiful property and cabin. Far enough away to give you isolation but close enough to town or Trinidad if you wanted to do some shopping. Easy walking trails and plenty of breathtaking views. Cannot wait to head back in April. I want to thank Erin and the cleaning crew. I messed my dates up and already made plans to check-in on Monday when we weren't supposed to be there till Tuesday. I messaged Erin in a panick on Saturday and a few hours later, had a Monday check-in. I could have been told that the cabin wouldn't be ready till Tuesday or that you booked the dates. Instead Erin wanted to check with the cleaning crew and ask if they could have the cabin ready and they said yes. Erin went above and beyond for my wife and I when she didn't have to and for that I'm very grateful.

Looking forward to the next visit
This cabin was just perfect. It was a wonderful peaceful retreat and nice escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The views were incredible and the Spanish Peaks were breathtaking at sunset. The walking trail around the property was a nice added bonus. The house itself was beautiful. There were so many small touches that really put the experience over the top. The kitchen was kind of a random selection of pots and pans but we were able to find what we needed to make dinner. The grill outside was fantastic. Plenty of dishes and silverware so none of that was a problem. It was pretty warm when we were there and as the sun started to set as we cooked dinner the house got a bit warm. There is an AC and it definitely helped keep the house comfortable the rest of the time. I think it would benefit from another AC unit upstairs during those warmer times. It cooled off at night though so opening the windows helped a great deal. Overall it was such a great experience and a great place we have already started talking about our plans for next year. And I have to add that the owner Erin was impeccable with communication. I felt like I had a lot of questions and she was easy to reach and responded quickly and seemed so incredibly kind through our messages. We feel so grateful they open up their home for others to experience this truly special piece of property.

Impressive
This has been our second of many more stays to come…. I have seen the cabin covered in snow, I have seen it on a summer day, and I have seen it during an impressive a storm. There is no wrong time to go. This place is magical year round and we are so thankful the owners have shared this slice of paradise with us. This Will be an annual trip for my family and I :)
