About the host
Hosted by Erica
Our family has lived in the beautiful state of Colorado since 2001, and we love to travel. We have been around the world experiencing a little of hundreds of cultures, foods, and languages. We welcome all of humanity and embrace the views, cultures, foods, languages, and styles from all around the world. We are outdoor enthusiasts and thrive in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. We are resourceful entrepreneurs who value a family-first mentality. We value a work-hard and play-hard mentality and strive to teach our children to earn what they seek and appreciate the vast opportunities on this earth without taking privileges for granted.
Why they chose this property
This property, once our primary home, is a custom newly built home nestled high on Pikes Peak in the mountains. The road is paved to access it and there is good internet and land-line phone, but it is a "mountain property" so expect to get a little taste of wilderness. This is not your city abode with endless pavement, valet parking or a Starbucks on the corner. This home is a quiet, luxurious retreat for the mountain outdoor adventurer who wants a calm, warm cabin after a long day on the trail. It is not “rustic” but it is peaceful. Have a cup of tea, put your feet up on the recliner sofas, read a book, or stare out the window at the beautiful trees and wildlife. This is not a party house. It is a relaxing retreat to unplug and get away. You are welcome to use the BBQ and hang out in the patio or chillax in the hot tub with a cold one after SUP’ing on the lake.
We love this neighborhood because we get the mountain quiet retreat feel without being isolated from society. It’s only a 15 minute drive into Woodland Park or Divide, CO. (WP is down (right) the hill on HWY 24, and Divide is up the hill (left)). Both have groceries, food, and gasoline. Woodland Park have all the small town perks including a coffee shop, car repair, restaurants, florist, salons and spas, crafty shops, breweries, and even a Walmart if you have to go big box. The weather is always awesome! Rarely does it get over 77 in the summer and we get plenty of snow for snowing most winters. White Christmas’s are a regular thing. Evenings are cool and crisp and alight jacket is recommended even in the summer.
Come enjoy our Rocky Mountain paradise.
