Unbelievably beautiful property - great trails and paths to walk, fun game barn with pool table, perfect place to go with a group of friends, feels nice and removed but the charming town of Cambridge just a few minutes up the road.
The description of the house can’t explain all of its unique details, it’s very beautiful and obviously with a lot of history. The rooms are spacious with a lot of character. The house was immaculate and the extras like the toiletries and extras in the kitchen were better than any other place I’ve stayed. The surrounding area was gorgeous, I would recommend this stay to anyone. My daughter had her wedding at the barn at Hansen hill farm and this home was about 15 minutes away, I let the barn owner know about the home and to recommend it to future couples and families having events at his barn.
Connie was a terrific host. The house was clean and we really loved how all the light fixtures were labeled. The information binder gave so much information. The barn had great activities such as a pool table and ping-pong. The kitchen was fully stocked. We would love to come back again.
We enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse. The house was clean comfortable and well stocked. We enjoyed exploring the area and appreciated Connie's recommendations. We would love to stay again.
We would stay here again a million times over! The only sad part of our trip was that it was so short and we couldn't enjoy the home for longer. The house is massive, gorgeous, and a bit of a fun labyrinth. Constance has done a fantastic job making everything easy to find and understand, with instructions on the showers etc. Everything was clean and comfortable (best I've slept at a VRBO in a long time). She was super responsive to us and happy to give advice/answer questions. This was a really wonderful experience and we're thinking we'd like to visit the area again just to get to stay here again!
The house was absolutely perfect for our group. Even with 5 adults and 2 teens we felt like there was plenty of space. The property is gorgeous and our host was very communicative, supportive, and accommodating. I will definitely keep this place in mind for future visits to the area
Connie hosts a special place! A short weekend stay but total appreciation of Civil War era home and barns. Property with trails were amazing...see you soon!
Absolutely stunning home with breathtaking views. We had out of town family stay with us for our son’s wedding (venue was 11 minutes away)! Host was amazing and so communicative. Home was so tidy and clean, so well stocked, just perfect!
This house and the surrounding property is absolutely gorgeous. I stayed here with family for a long weekend and we had an absolute blast. The kitchen is fully equipped and the house is so thoughtfully decorated. Connie was so patient and helpful!
This house was everything I was looking for; great host who had all the attention to details, house layout was great, and outside hiking paths were abundant and marked or mowed, fun games in the barn. Our adult children and I will be back!
Our stay at Sunburst was beautiful. The home was fantastic with many views of the lovely countryside . The house was very clean and the owner was extremely gracious . We”ll be heading back again !
The Sunburst House is truly an amazing experience. Connie is the perfect example of a premier host. The house is spotless; the check in & check out process couldn't have been easier. Connie will respond very promptly to answer any questions or concerns. You have complete privacy & all the comforts of home. The property is pet friendly & well behaved dogs are welcome. This was our 2nd visit to Sunburst House and will be looking forward to the next trip. Thanks Connie :)
We loved staying at the Sunburst House. It was extremely clean, well equipped, and in a lovely setting. We were there for our daughter's wedding and took photos on the grounds. It was perfect. Connie is easy to work with and a great host. We look forward to going back again when the need arises.
We had a fabulous time. Connie is an excellent host. The attention to detail is flawless. The landscape and true beauty of the farm is very calming and relaxing. Will defiantly come back!!!
This property is awesome. Better than the pictures. Immaculately clean. Beds were very comfortable. Well stocked with all essentials. Connie is very quick to answer any questions. Would recommend this house without reservation
Such a beautiful historic home tucked away in the country. Even though it was an old home, it was very clean and tastefully updated. It was minimally decorated so you could really take in the character of the house and it was even more spacious than pictured. We had all the appliances that we needed and more. The only downside was that some of the suggested activities in the area were closed down and could use updating.
This property is spectacular! Pictures are extremely accurate, but seeing it in person will take your breath away. Simply stated Connie has set the bar with being a premier host. She responds to inquires immediately. Check in & check out was easy. The house is pristine clean. There is a book of valuable info left for guests regarding the house & the area. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed the space & we enjoyed the privacy. Beautiful sunsets & views!Highly recommend this property, We will return. Thanks Connie
We were in the upper NY area for a family reunion. The Sunburst House was a relaxing enjoyable place to stay. The house and its grounds were immaculate. The Owner was very easy to work with and provided everything needed to stay comfortably at Sunburst House. My son and his family were traveling with us and we were all very comfortable. There are trails to walk, wildlife to see and generally just vast areas to explore. Enjoy this older home that has been updated to current accommodations. Highly recommend and I will book again if in the area.
We are a group of cyclists in town for The Tour of the Battenkill 2025. The property was absolute perfection. A beautifully restored farm house with lots of barn space for our bikes, we felt so comfortable and welcome there. The house is perfectly appointed with tons of space and comfortable bedrooms. We had two wonderful dinners and sat out on the beautiful patio watching the sunset and reliving the Bike Race of the day.The grounds are exquisitely kept and a morning hike on the property was just what we needed to loosen up our sore legs.We will he back for Battenkill 2026!!
