The cottage was excellent for our needs! We have been to Maggie Valley many times and this was a close favorite stay for us. We just recently got a dachshund puppy so the fenced in backyard was perfect for watching her while we relaxed in the hot tub (she was sneaky and slipped through the small gaps in the fence once lol) We were very impressed with how clean it was and the water pressure was surprisingly extremely strong, lead to nice relaxing showers. We also loved that this is right on Soco road just a skip and a hop down to the town of Maggie Valley proper.
Nicely decorated. Clean for the most part - some dusty areas and mattress covers need refreshed. It is right off of rte 19 so it is not a quiet peaceful area. You can hear traffic the entire time so please keep that in mind when booking. Easy access to areas.
Great property! We would definitely stay here again. The location is right off the main road, but we loved the location. There are some adorable shops within walking distance. Everything was very clean and the host were very prompt with responding to any questions we had.
As soon as you walk in you felt at home. Even our pup jumped right on the doggie bed provided. I was concerned you would hear road noise but not the case at all, it was peaceful and quiet. All in all a wonderful stay and would definitely come again. Thank you to our hosts for their hospitality.
We had a great little weekend vacation! The cottage was easy to find and suited our needs perfectly. It had everything we needed and was close to everything. My group fell in love with this little town. Very friendly people. We had a great time.
Cottage was lovely. Kitchen area floor was not up to par. I Swifted that area and washed the pads. The only disappointment was there were no dressers. I plan to stay here again.
We were in town to work the Thunder in the Smokies event. This house is very well described was very clean. The host is very quick to respond we will definitely be back we do this event 3 times a year. It's very refreshing when you get to stay somewhere and not have any problems.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
The communication via email and or text was slow and snippy from the hosts wife. The cleaning was behind so we had a late check in, the chairs around the kitchen table need replaced they are ver wobbly and are dangerous, coffee maker did not work, ice maker was turned off or just not hooked up, the flooring is uneven and easily throws you off balance in several spots, grass was too high in back yard and our 7 lb dog got fleas and 2 ticks while there, one of the bedrooms that had a bathroom was very hard to use due to no door to separate bathroom from bedroom, and also to reach the back yard you had to go through the same bedroom/ bathroom! I have never in all my rentals from several states had such a miserable stay, oh yes and the kitchen skillets - everything stuck to them regardless of what I cooked! I love renting thru VRBO but this place - horrible front steps are high apart for someone 64 years old and only 4'11 with no handrails on either side, unsafe! Out of 10 years renting thru VRBO this is the only 2nd review I have given less than 4 -5 stars, from multiple stays in multiple states.
Loved the house and location. Will come again. Only thing I see that needs done is rails coming up door steps. It’s hard for old people to get up with out something to hold to.
We couldn’t have pick any better of a place to stay. Our friends staying at other places stopped by and also love it. We had a blast and would recommend this place to anyone.
