This is our second time staying in this home and we continue to love it. It is about a 5 minute walk to the beach and close to 2 pools. Check in is easy. We love how the house is at the end of a cut-de-sac and safe for the kids to play without much fear of other drivers. The rooms are spacious. The kitchen has most utensils, pots, pans, and baking sheets. Overall a wonderful stay. We had no need to reach out due to no concerns with the property.

This house needs some major TLC. From the beginning, there were several issues, including a broken ice machine, dirty sheets, mold on the shower curtain, broken smoke detectors and messy downstairs area, with exposed nails. I contacted the host several times to address these concerns, and each time they responded that they would contact their team. Unfortunately, no solution or follow-up was ever provided.Our very first night, we ended up washing sheets at midnight just so we could sleep in the master bedroom. This was extremely disappointing and not the level of cleanliness or service we expected.

Great Beach Stay

A nice, quiet, and open floor plan property. It had plenty of room for 8 adults. A very short walk to the beach. We had a great time!

Family Vacation

We had a Great first experience of Fort Morgan and Gulf shores! The beach access was easy and not crowded.It was great to be able to dip in the pool after walking back from the beach. The house had plenty of room for our family of 12 and we were grateful to be able to use the beach wagon, chairs and boogie boards that were available to use! Overall it was a great place to stay!

Well there was some maintenance issues like beeping smoke detector and the dishwasher. It would be cool if they could find a reliable repair guy who could come in to fix something within a day, but the owners I'm sure can’t control speed of service like that. The area near the outside shower should be cleared of sand so that your feet is sand free getting to the stairs, maybe they can find a landscaper who can blow out the parking area like the other houses around it. The owners live away from the house so they rely on outside help. Just need to find that outside help to do those extra things. But overall it was great and quiet. Best part is the owner responds in minutes to any question, that alone makes this a great rental. I think anyone would be happy with a vacation here

Family trip

Our family enjoyed this house. Much nicer than being in separate condos. The beach was so peaceful. Such a small community that the beach was spacious and we were not jammed right against each other. Teenagers loved the shuffle board. We looked up ferry times and planned our trip perfectly to utilize the ferry and avoided the Mobile traffic coming to and from NOLA on a holiday weekend.

So many broken things, so much damage in the house it's not worth what they charge.- Dishwasher not working - we were told it was recently broken but house cleaning staff said it had been broken for years and the owners won't fix it- The couch was literally falling apart, and was a hazard with little kids- The air vents were filthy and laundry room at one point had the smoke detector go off as we were drying because of all the lint that was starting to smoke from being piled up for who knows how long- Shades were broken/not workingThe overall community was "nice" but the AI chatbot the property employs effectively lies to you and tells you it'll have someone get back to you soon but that never happens. Communication is pleasant, but nothing gets done about the issues you identify.Disgusted and disappointed frankly.

Love the location!!

We LOVED the location of this home, so perfect as it’s surrounded by the dunes and the nature preserve, and beach is only a 3 min walk away! Easy access to both pools which is a plus with small children. Management was relatively responsive to our concerns as we did have to point out some cleanliness issues throughout. Make sure you pack EVERYTHING as there were no cleaning supplies, paper towels, coffee filters, trash bags, hand soap, dish soap, etc. We had a good stay and will be visiting Ft Morgan again!

Lovely hone

This house was so much more than i expected. It would be great for bridal party or group of girls or large family. I have never been anywhere with 40 plates or 72 pieces of drinking glasses. And ……. I loved the bath!

Easter break

6 adults, 7 children. The house spaces fit our large group well. All three adult couples had their own room and bathroom. 4 kids in the bunk beds one preteen in queen bedroom with air bed on her floor for her toddler sister and pack and play in the parents bedroom for infant. House was well stocked. Under house was great for outdoor play and riding toys. Enjoyed pool and easy walk to the beach.

Great private home in Fort Morgan

The place has plenty of room - my husband, my sister- and brother-in-law, my dog, and I stayed with two bedrooms left over. The house needs some minor repairs and the listing photos need updating as the furniture has changed, which isn't a big deal, but one photo also shows a clear view of the houses on the Gulf, but now there are two completed houses and one being built across the street. Currently, there is a beautiful view of the winter sunset from the deck, but that will change if more houses are built. The property is mostly quiet - the only noise came from the construction of a new house across the street, but luckily they weren't working on it every day. Overall, it was a great choice for us - clean, comfortable, and close to the beach.

Great, well-stocked home

The owner was absolutely awesome and quick to respond to any questions or needs we had. The home was very clean and well-stocked with everything we needed plus lots of extras! The pools were nearby and easily accessible. The beach access was a little farther than what we like but still just a short walk for most of our family members (those with difficulty walking far had some issues getting to the beach and beyond the tents set up near the beach access). The neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe. It’s about a 25-30 minute drive to most shops and restaurants in Gulf Shores/Orange Beach but well worth it for the less crowded beaches of Fort Morgan! Plenty of parking at the house for 4-6 vehicles. Our family truly enjoyed this home and would definitely recommend it.

Christmas with family

The house was described accurately on the listing. We had everything we needed….even soap, laundry detergent, dishwasher soap (for a few days) and plenty of dishes and utensils. There were even plastic plates and cups for kids. The house does need some updating and some minor repairs done. I informed the owner and it seems as if she will take care of that. Overall, the house was great and the weather was nice for the kids to get outside and play under the house and at the beach. We did have to sweep the sand under the house so kids wouldn’t track it inside.

Disappointed

It needed almost a total remodel. It was NOT a very clean property as promised. It was roach infested and the exterminator wasn’t coming until we were gone. Need I say more. Location was fine but it felt like the owners were planning on selling real soon and the buyer was buying “as is.”

As we are adjacent to a protected wetland, we see all kinds of cool wildlife near the house, while doing our best to not let any in through pest spraying and other treatments on a frequent basis. As for the decor, we attempt to provide a fun and classic beach theme in the house. I am sorry it is not to your taste. We've recently replaced all the floors and overhauled most of the furniture in the living areas to comport to the above theme. We are always open to new ideas on how to make our guests more comfortable, so any specific thoughts would be appreciated. All the best!

One of The BEST Family Vacations!!

We just returned from an incredible stay with our family, and it exceeded every expectation! From the moment we stepped in, the home was very inviting and the layout was nice and open, lending to an ease of group activities. With our two energetic kiddos, aged 9 and 12, the abundance of games and activities available kept them entertained for hours on end, giving my husband and I some much-needed relaxation time. The location couldn't have been more perfect – tucked away in a tranquil gated community, we felt safe and secluded while still having easy access to all amenities. Speaking of amenities, the pool was a definite highlight, providing endless fun and relaxation for all of us. And let's not forget the short stroll to the beach, a mere hop, skip, and a jump away! The convenience of being able to enjoy the sun and sand whenever we pleased was simply unbeatable. The attention to detail in this home truly sets it apart. It was abundantly clear that the owners had thought of everything to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. From the well-equipped kitchen to the plethora of beach toys for the kids, we wanted for nothing during our time here. In short, this was the perfect family retreat, and we're already counting down the days until we can return. A heartfelt thank you to the owners for sharing their slice of paradise with us – we'll cherish the memories made here for years to come!

Perfect multifamily getaway with ideal mix of beach tranquility and proximity to activities!

We recently completed our stay at The Dune Abides with another family (10 people total, 5 kids). The home setup was perfect for our needs - 3 master bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, plus 2 more bedrooms (1 of which was a bunk room) with a shared full hallway bathroom. The living area was all open so those working in the kitchen were connected with others in the living and dining areas, and the covered front porch served as our nightly hangout spot while the kids were sleeping, where we listened to music or the waves crashing a short distance away. The home is well equipped for those who choose to cook meals in, and we found the separate ice freezer in the bar a welcome addition! There were board games and books for anyone seeking to relax indoors, and the shuffleboard court below the house got plenty of use by the 5 kids. We made the short walk to the beach every day with the kids. The sand was pure white and extra fine which made for some epic long walks, especially with the shells (and sand dollars!) we found along the way! The volleyball net at the beach got as much use as the ocean. We also spent time at the 2 pools on the property, which the kids enjoyed when the ocean was too cold for them. It was nice being on the more peaceful side of Gulf Shores but still a quick drive to activities. Taking in a Blue Angels practice was icing on the cake! We cannot recommend The Dune Abides too highly and look forward to returning in the near future!

Great location! Short walk to the beach and the two swimming pools that we had access to. The beach has the most amazing white sand. No rocks in the water that often pose a challenge. Beach rentals, (chairs and canopies) are readily available or you can bring your own. We had a minor problem with one of the sinks, (a leak), and the host was able to get someone out quickly to resolve. I would definitely stay there again!
