The property is very accessible and the nature watching was amazing. Our host was very quick to respond to our one small issue and resolved it easily. Great property for all ages.
My family and I just spent another week at this amazing little camp. My boys fished for hours, kayaked and ventured to Table rock for a hike. The camp had many little upgrades from last year and is very clean and accommodating.
Wildlife sightings - eagles, great blue herons, loons, ducks (very friendly), deer (in back yard), woodchuck, fox and many other small birds.
We hope to return for next summer. 🙂
We had a great stay! We appreciated the use of the kayaks, the view of the lake was great. Surprisingly quiet midweek. We’ll be back next year!

The cabin setting was absolutely perfect. We truly felt that we were in the Great North Woods. It was the most relaxing and peaceful vacation that we have ever had in our 40 years of vacationing and was truly just what we needed. Being able to ride right from the cabin in our side by side was really nice and got us up close with nature. we would highly recommend this property for couples looking for relaxation.
Perfect spot to get in hikes, check out the lakes and relax! Cabin was comfortable and clean. Kayaks were put to use on a full shoreline paddle. Views from the windows as shown in the listing are 100% accurate!
Comfortable beds. Fans available for warm nights. Open windows for a delightful breeze! Large grill on a cozy deck.
Cribbage, cards, chess/checkers set came in handle on the rainy days.
Campfire pit was available, but we didn't use it. Sitting on the deck watching the night sky was our speed.
Only a couple of things to note...geese really like the lawn at the pond edge in August. If you have a Teflon aversion, you may want to bring your own frying pan and pot. No face cloths, but nice soft, big bath towels in the closet. Plenty of tea and coffee, sugar provided!
We enjoyed our time there and would definitely stay again if our journeys take us north!
This lake camp was a perfect get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life
I spent my mornings having coffee and watching the ducks swim right by the large windows overlooking the lake. I enjoyed the vast wilderness during the day. I had everything I needed to cook elaborate dinners in the kitchen, and slept cozy and warm. Overall it was everything I hoped for.
I'm thankful that Dan is willing to share his awesome house with those of us who don't have the luxury of a lakefront home. Within 15 mins of arrival, we saw a beautiful bald eagle fly over the deck, and we continued to see him throughout our weekend. I was grateful for being allowed to bring my dog with us (my sister and I went up). We had a nice, relaxing weekend filled with various wildlife sightings, moose included. The house was equipped with everything we needed, and was very clean. The deck is awesome, and there's a very nice firepit, though we did not use it. The screened porch is another nice touch. We would definitely come back here again!!!
This cottage is perfect for a couple or small family. It’s not a big place but it is clean, cozy and right on the water. Mornings were spent drinking coffee on the deck watching the fish jump on the water that was smooth as glass and listening to the loons call. And evenings were spent around the campfire in the Adirondack chairs that were provided. The beds were comfortable and linens soft. Dan was a great host and was available and quick to respond with any questions or concerns. We definitely will be coming back next year!
E-Z Check In, easy to find, super close to restaurants and General stores (the close early). Great view of the lake and access to various hikes. Some snowmobile trails were open but was limited. Hiking did require equipment and some walking to the trailhead due to mud season.
We enjoyed our stay! Cabin amenities were as advertised and the views of Back Lake from multiple windows were awesome. The location was convenient being close to Rt. 3. Rustic interior décor is well done. Beds were very comfortable and linens provided are quality. The enclosed porch comes in handy for storing items as our visit was for hunting. The owner, Dan was very responsive and easy to work with. We would return!
This place is perfect in every single way. The communication was really good! We arrived later at the night and it was pretty dark and we messed up the houses but they directly answered us and stayed with us in the phone till we arrived ( it’s a pretty easy drive and the cabin is easy to find but it was really late at night and rainy). This beautiful cabin is exactly as the pictures with amazing view when you wake up. This was the perfect getaway we needed to celebrate our anniversary and have our dog with us. We all enjoyed our stay very much! We will be back very soon!
