Historical cottage located only two blocks from the beach. One of the original Rehoboth cottages that dates back to 1927, and is on the historical registry. Fantastic location, two blocks from the beach and silver lake, also an easy walk to town. Our cozy living room has a wood burning fireplace, and a HD flat screen tv. Beautiful and relaxing screen porch with plenty of seating. Charming backyard area that includes a patio and grill, made private by a fence. Plenty of bikes available to ride around town. Four bedrooms and two full baths with an outdoor shower.
Renters will need to bring sheets and towels. There are two queen beds and four twin beds.

Lovely historic cottage, perfect location, would stay there again in a heartbeat. Junior library upstairs is amazing. Missed the disclaimer about BYO towels and sheets, be good to place that more prominently (or better yet start providing them). But we did find washing some left behind by previous guests.

Cottage was in a good location. Kitchen had ants. Toaster was broken. Parking permits were not there. Listed WiFi password was incorrect. I wouldn’t even write this review but when I wrote to owner at the end of stay, he didn’t respond. So wouldn’t choose this property again.
Loved the house and area. Location is great. You can walk to the beach and restaurants.
Inside is in good shape.
House needs some sprucing up outside and there is too much 'stuff' on the porch.
I would stay there again.
Location is great, about a 10 minute walk to the beach and to the Main Street with many bars, restaurants, and shops!
Home is as expected, nice little backyard for our pups to run around. Everything was clean, kitchen has everything you would need to cook!
Beach chairs, bikes, and wagon in the garage which is a nice perk.
Overall, great experience!
The location was great. The beds were pretty comfortable. The rest of the furniture was acceptable. If I had one complaint, it would be the general maintenance of the property. There were light fixtures, hanging from the ceiling, that needed to be reattached. There is no handrail to get into or out of the house, and several people commented on that. There are a couple of holes in the boards on the front steps. Overall, we had a wonderful time, but I would agree it is the quintessential rustic beach house. We had a pull several bikes out of the garage in order to find two that were rideable. The interior of the house was much better than exterior. We are Exterior just needs a little Lovin.
This place was perfect for young families, grandparents, and pets. We absolutely loved the screened in porch. We spent most of our time out on it telling stories, carving pumpkins, and planing our day. It is a great location to the beach and away from the noise of main shop street. Not time we stayed one road off of it and hated all the garbage trucks and deliveries to the restaurants. This street is peaceful and my 3 and 6 year old grandkids had no trouble walking to the beach and/or to the arcade/restaurant/shops. It rained all day our last day and the place is big enough we didn't go stir crazy. The beds were comfortable and cleaned throughout. We made memories and that is what it's all about! Thanks!
The location of the home is excellent. An easy walk to the beach or town. We loved riding the provided beach bikes each day on the boardwalk, around Silver Lake, and to Henlopen State park. The house has a lot of charm. The front porch is comfortable for early morning cups of coffee or afternoon/evening porch sitting. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans. The description of the home needs to be updated. There is a king size bed in bedroom with a Queen bed in another bedroom, both downstairs. The hall bathroom has a clawfoot bathtub and stand up shower in the corner. Upstairs one bedroom has 2 twin beds. The other bedroom has 3 single beds. The bathroom has a full size showers The upstairs rooms have in room AC units making the bedrooms comfortable and cool. The outside shower has both hot & cold water for easy clean up after a trip to the beach. There is a nice beach wagon provided for carrying gear to the beach as well. The house has provided paper towels, soaps for laundry, dishwasher, sink and hands. Sponges and a few dish towels provided. There are table clothes for the outdoor porch table. One twin bed needs a new mattress pad, stain made it unusable. The parking pass is needed through September 15 according to City signs posted. There were some issues with messes left by previous guests such as soiled laundry bed linens left in washer (never started) dirty dishes in the dishwasher ( drying mode doesn’t work well) plastic dishes had begun to mold.

Great location, easy walk to boardwalk, beach, and playground/park area. House is well stocked had many amenities and supplies. Decor is a mix of whimsical and vintage cottage with some of the prettiest dishes and a claw foot tub.The house however needs some attention. The carpet upstairs in the two upper bedrooms is very soiled. The two loveseats in the sitting room with the TV are soiled/stained. Only a couple beds had mattress pad covers. The mattress pads, several quilts and bedspreads were soiled/stained. The screened in porch is nice and large but has soiled/stained cushions and some broken furniture. 4 of the 8 bikes were in good shape and we appreciated those. There was a full load of dirty laundry loaded in the washer and a full load of dirty dishes in the dishwasher upon our arrival. I noticed the house was not booked the week leading up to our arrival for the weekend. For this reason, and based on the price point for this home, I expected some of these items would have been addressed prior to guests arriving.

Great location!! When at the rental, spent most of our time on the spacious screened in porch. Appreciated the bikes and beach wagon. House has a king and queen size bed, not two queens. When asked to bring own sheets, need to be precise. Premises could have been cleaner.
Great location, quiet and comfortable cottage blocks to beach and dining
Everything was great - nice quiet, comfortable cottage blocks to beach, dining and boardwalk. Provided bikes for a great day biking at Gordon’s Pond Beach. Dog friendly, clean and conveniently location.
Had a wonderful time! The house is so charming, the front porch and outside shower are a dream. Lovely historic cottage, and is the perfect vibe for what Rehobeth is. Walking distance to everything and can’t wait to go back!
Great property in a quiet neighborhood. A quick two block walk to the beach. The walk to the main part of the broad walk was a bit far but this allowed for a less crowded and quieter beach experience.
Great stay in this Rehoboth Beach Cottage. New comfortable beds and cold AC downstairs. Upstairs rooms with 5 twin beds was warmer but a portable A/C and fan helped a lot. Maybe bring an additional fan. Cleanliness in a few areas could be better and the cottage is showing some wear. Old coffee filter was moldy, dirty wet laundry was in wash and not started, dishes were wet and not put up. Minor things. Book needs updating of local contact, but message via VRBO worked great and was responded to promptly. Kitchen is well equipped, almost too much ‘stuff’ and careful much isn’t microwave safe. Screened front porch was an awesome hang out spot all week.
What a perfect location for a fall stay. We stayed for 6 weeks and everything was perfect. We walked to the boardwalk, the lake, and downtown. The house is a quaint old Rehoboth original cottage with many charming touches. An older but pleasant home.
A very charming and whimsy beach house to say the least! We loved the location which was walkable to everything. Comfortable beds too! We had an issue with the heat not working but the owner was quick to resolve it. We had heaters to get us through until then so the heating system must be quirky. We were toasty warm after that. I would have given this rental 5 stars but it was not clean when we got there. We had to sweep the walkway in to the house which was covered with leaves and twigs. Same with the back patio. We also had to vacuum the black dog hair off of the furniture and empty what was missed in the bathroom trash baskets. Yes it is dog friendly but we have doodles and they do not shed. We were a little annoyed to see black hairs everywhere. Once we cleaned it up to our liking we were comfortable. We recommend this cute and cozy place and we would return despite the few issues.
Two families stayed at the home between lacrosse tournaments in MD and DE. The location is great you can walk to the beach. There are many bikes to ride, and wagons to take your gear to the beach provided. The house is clean and was big enough to 4 adults and full sized teens. The host was responsive, and the experience was great.
The weather was hideous and the owner tried to help us but the heating system did not turn on. We tried to make do with fireplace fired and the owner sent space heaters, but in the end he was great about refunding our money and we went home.
This comfortable, nearly 100 year old cottage is truly a step back to the old days at the beach. Located on a quiet, street close the the beach, it was an easy walk for 70 year olds.
The washer and dryer ARE on the main floor and the kitchen is totally stocked with ample supplies.
It would have been nice if we could have opened some windows, especially upstairs. A truly relaxing vacation was enjoyed by all. I'd list it as one of my favorite spots.
