Best prepare to bundle up if you want to stay here. On September 19th at 8:21PM I texted Bob with the following message.ME: Hi. This is Tim in rental unit 2. The living room heat does not appear to be working. Any Ideas? I can turn the thermostat all the way up but the registers never get warm.BOB: Hi Tim and sorry for the trouble. I don't believe the heating is operational until October 1st. That's when they're turned on for the season.ME: Then why do you mention the heat in your notes? (The notes in the room explain how to use the living room heat)BOB: Sorry, those are the same generic instructions we have used for years, but you make a good point and we should have separate instructions for the heating season, cooling season and how to navigate in between. My apologies.ME: For this much money on a 45 degree night I should have heat. If you declared that in your listing I would have made other arrangements.So in short folks, heat is not available until October. The room was 55 degrees in the morning.  It can get cold in September too.  Treating it like an afterthought, like it's no big deal was unacceptable. I would have given it a better rating but to be so nonchalant about it was annoying. These folks should not be in the rental business.

I received a text from the guest at 8:30 on a Saturday night in September, still in the summer season. I abut this unit, have the same situation and my unit the next morning was 67-degrees. They left the next morning and I checked and took a video of both thermostats. The main room was at 66 and the bedroom at 74 degrees. I live on site year round and we address any issue as quickly as possible. We have two units on VRBO at this location and I hope you'll check the reviews there as well. Being late Saturday night in September, there was no way to get the heating system up and operational that night unfortunately. I did explain this to guest, but he wasn't interested in hearing that apparently. However, as a result, I did get the systems running early to avoid this from becoming an issue in the future. I would be happy to answer questions from anyone concerning this in the future.

No way does this deserve a 10/10 rating. It’s fairly terrible and not deserving such a favorable rating. The pluses - great location, right on the lake. Adirondacks at sunset was heavenly. Super convenient. Wolfeboro is very cute. The shower has been nicely redone. The in-unit washer/dryer worked well and was very convenient. But the negatives are many. Lots of disrepair and terrible attention to detail. We got a spongy soft double bed. The listing says Queen bed. It’s not. We had badly stained sheets and dreadful pillows (two lumpy huge mountains, two flat, lifeless pancakes, all smelled bad). Only two pillows had pillowcases. The uncovered pillows were stained and dingy. The bedspread is icky and smells. Lighting is atrocious. The overhead lights are ghastly harsh. We wanted soft lighting at sleep time but both the stovetop and microwave lights were burned out so we kept the microwave door open and used the light inside as a nightlight. The overhead fan in the bedroom has one slow speed that makes it useless. The front door screen is ripped with a cracked frame. The porch furniture feels like it will fall apart any minute. The owner makes no effort to make ice cubes for guests so we were forced to make our own ice using broken, leaking trays. The TV setup is super confusing. One bedroom closet has no light and super dark. You cant put a suitcase in the large closet and no stands are provided. Lotsa issues. It’s too bad cuz the location and town are great. Go elsewhere.

If you like waking up and sipping coffee in adirondack chairs just feet from Lake Winnipesaukee on your own private dock, then this house is for you. What a beautiful property in the most ideal location in all of Wolfeboro. It's walking distance to everything - shops, restaurants, entertainment. Parking is nearly at the front door. The property has everything you'll need for comfort - fully stocked kitchen, comfortable living room, queen bedroom and renovated bathroom. Wonderful memories made here.
