Property was amazing! The whole family loved playing on the beach! My son was so excited with all the different toys he could use to build his sand castles. The house is clean and super roomy! Plenty to do around the area and fun parks to take the kids to.
Thank you for sharing your beach house with us. I call it a little slice of heaven. This is our second time staying here and we love how secluded it feels. It's like we have our own private beach as there are often very few people around. We will be back!
The house is excellent - comfortable, well equipped, and beautifully decorated. The view is unbelievable! We look forward to another stay at this little slice of heaven on Wisconsin's east coast.
White sand beach! (I understand the lake changes so you dont always get the same beach experience...we were so fortunate!) House was exceptionally clean and extremely comfortable. Loved the Victrola.Dan was amazing in quick response to all questions. His Crow Bar recommendation for nearby food was spot on! We had an incident with kitchen sink handle and was fixed in under 2 hours. We have booked alot of VRBO vacations and this was one of our best. Only negative was the high iron content in the well water but there is a filter on kitchen sink for drinking water. We would definitely book again!
We especially loved the access to the beach and how few people were on it. The house came with even more than was listed, including chairs for the beach and beach towels. We also enjoyed that the kitchen was stocked, as well as some extra toiletries were available. The state park was very nearby and also beautiful. There were ants in the house, but spray was available. Also, the water was somewhat brown. We stopped at the store and bought water, but the manager did say he would be getting a new filter that attached to the kitchen sink. Most days it was quiet and lovely, but a couple days the local firing range was very busy. If you have kiddos, they had dishes for kids and toys for kids, and a cute little play area upstairs. We also enjoyed the record player/bluetooth player and really loved the sauna.
This property is located on a quiet road and the beach is great. There is plenty of room and the house is well furnished and stocked with everything you need.
It was a beautiful spot for a house and was perfect for families and extended families, we had 4 generations! . Quiet , the beach was perfect , not small and soft sand, rolling waves, everything you need,to enjoy your retreat. Highly recu.
Beautiful scenery and location. Was very relaxing enjoying the waves outside and singing birds. There are stairs to downstairs if you have mobility difficulty and stairs down to yard and beach but they are manageable if you go slow. Location was perfect for get away.
Our group has some mobility issues but there were workable options for everyone for sleeping areas. Beautiful views from the deck and yard, and stairs to beach were manageable for my elderly mother. Clean, well stocked, and the sound of the waves is unbeatable. My mother enjoyed all Two Rivers has to offer and visiting her old childhood neighborhood. Wonderful experience!
We absolutely loved our stay at this home in July of 2023. The house is well maintained and stocked, the furniture was cozy and the communication with the property manager was excellent. We also really enjoyed the beach (bring bug spray though) and the nearby towns. Thank you!
Four of us stayed 4 nights. We enjoyed playing games, watching movies, sitting by the lake, dipping our toes in the water, blowing bubbles, reading on the deck, bird watching with binoculars, beautiful sunsets and breathtaking sunrises! We spent a day in Green Bay at Lambeau Field. We went to 3 light houses in the area too!
Stayed for 4 days - and had a great stay.
The pictures does not do the house justice - it so much better. Super large deck, great sandy beach, large bed rooms and well stocked kitchen. Plus a pool table! Super responsive service as well
The only reason for not giving 5 stars are that the deck could use some TLC, and due to large trees have very little sun during the day. Also the wifi is very slow (guessing that is due to location).
This Lake/Beach house is stunning! Enjoyed the gorgeous lake and sound of the waves all weekend. House was stocked with all our needs for the weekend stay. We enjoyed fishing, relaxing/reading out on the patio/porch, listening to great music on the VIICTROLA, and watching movies at night.
Highly recommend!

Thank you for sharing this beautiful home.
The beach is beautiful. My daughter had a ball splashing around in the water and playing in the sand. The view of the lake is spectacular. From the deck, we watched the sunrise in the morning and looked at the stars at night.
Dan was very responsive. He was pleasant and easy to communicate with.
The kitchen was not as well equipped as at other Vrbo homes where I’ve stayed. There were only 4 plates, and they were too large to fit in the dishwasher. Also, the cooking pots had peeling Teflon. For people who eat most meals out, this wouldn’t be much of an issue, but we cooked our meals in.
Also, the house’s water had a strong sulfur smell. I understand from the host that the smell comes and goes and might have been especially strong during our visit because of the dry weather. For someone who is used to city water, this was difficult to adjust to, and we wound up buying several gallons of bottled water to use.
I’d been looking for a place on Lake Michigan for a get-away retreat for a few days. When I saw the photos of the Rustic Retreat, my hopes were high. Well, the experience far exceeded my hopes. It was beautiful, clean, and felt like home, only on the lake, without any to-dos’s. Anything we needed was there. The house is open, light, roomy, comfortable and, as I said, clean and fully functional. I really appreciated that everything was in good order and worked well, with clear directions when needed.
Dan was available and willing to answer any questions we had, and to offer suggestions.
I particularly enjoyed the water views (even the sunrise when I got up early enough), the beach (just down some steps, not down boulders, as one of the reviewers claimed) and the sauna (a Finnish-style steam sauna). I was with my 88 year old mom, who has mobility issues, but she was able to stay on the main level and fully enjoy our stay.
There is a lot of space in the house, on the property, and even along the beach, so I think it would be flexible for different kinds of gatherings. If you’re wondering about a great place to stay, I’d book this one! I’m grateful that I found it, and I plan to stay again as soon as I can. It was a true retreat for us.
The house is quiet and spacious for gatherings, and convenient enough to town. We loved having the views, the yard swing, the deck, and the ability to walk the beach so easily. Dan was always nice and helpful when I communicated with him. Overall a very happy stay.
If I had any cons about the rental it would only be that having only 2 tall kitchen garbage size bags to use, and 2 rolls of toilet tissue on the main floor for 4 nights stay of 4 women was a bit short in rationing supplies.
Cozy house for those long cold winter days. Perfect view of the Great Lake Michigan with awesome sunrises. Short drives to nice towns going north or south. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay!
Enjoyed the sound of waves and having campfires. Very peaceful, yet easy to get to sites to eat or explore. Kept finding nice touches as we explored the house. The info in the book was helpful for ideas of area sites. I liked the beach and sunrise.
