About this property

9 beds 3ba close to Downtown SLC, Gigabit Wi-Fi

Please read full description so you are not disappointed by something we clearly stated. If you have any questions, concerns or issues during your stay, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We'd be happy to do what we can to make your stay pleasant rather than receive a poor review for something we could have fixed.

Enjoy peace and tranquility inside our vintage Red-Brick Bungalow even as you are nestled only minutes away from downtown SLC.
Built in 1941 this gem has proven the test of time. Plenty of space to relax, catch up on Netflix, play games or foosball.
You will be within walking distance of groceries, gas stations, fast food, parks, the Utah state fairgrounds, and even downtown (about a 20-45 minute walk). By car you can reach the airport in about 8-10 minutes, ski resorts or just about anywhere in the Salt Lake valley in 15-30 minutes. Historic Temple Square is only a few minutes away.

Utah has been in a severe drought for several years, which is clearly reflected in the landscaping at our property. We hope to change it at some point to make it drought resistant, but we are unable to at this time.

Due to the house being older, the stairs to the basement are quite steep. There is a handrail. Please keep this in mind if you have young children or if stairs are a difficulty for you or anyone in your party.

Please, no pets, and no smoking or vaping anywhere on the premises. We hope you have fun with family and friends at our place, but no loud, rambunctious parties please.

This is a fantastic location and hope you enjoy your stay!

Salt Lake City
House is old, outside is not well maintained. The house has rusty smell and not vent. Did not know that 2 bedrooms in the basement which has a steep staircase and feel trapped. Not worth the price paid. House feel like 1 star motel.

Nice for the price
This property was nice for the price. Lots of space for sleeping. Quirky older home but nice interior. Smaller kitchen stocked with almost everything you need. It is on a corner lot and easy to find.

Inexpensive but adequate.
It was in a great area for us to access Salt Lake and Davis County easily. The neighborhood was a bit sketchy but that is the Rose Park area and the price reflected that. The one thing that disturbed us the most was the smell thing like a cat had done it's business somewhere close by. The other thing was we could have used at least one more toilet paper roll in the master bathroom as the others had 2 full rolls and the partial roll except the master. We had to switch out from the other bathrooms. Also there wasn't much liquid soap in the master bathroom and it ran out before our stay was finished. Overall it worked out all right. I made these suggestions because it would have been a better experience for all of us.l

Hi I'm Josh, and this is my wife, Camille. We have been married for 20 years. I am a Product Developer/ Mechanical Engineer at a company that makes safety equipment. Camille is (usually) a stay at home homeschooling mom of 6, and keeps pretty busy paying bills and running the household affairs.
Once in a while when we have time we love to travel and stay in vacation homes around the world. But most of the time we are busy making sure our own places are ready for guests from around the world. We have enjoyed hosting people from all over the US and as far away as England.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this property and lived in it over 17 years ago. now, after all this time we have decided to offer it as a comfy short-term rental for large groups and families.
We wanted to provide a cost effective space for families like ours who don't fit in hotels anymore. We felt that this location could provide such an opportunity.

What makes this property unique

We specifically arranged this property so that parents and adults can visit in the upstairs with the large TV, and Kids can play downstairs on the foosball table, or with the smaller TV and (hopefully) their noise wont disturb the upstairs visits.
