8 of us stayed at the Chateau for one week. It is a lovely location, with a short drive to Saumur. The house and gardens are lovely, with a homely feel (you feel like you are staying in someone's home - we loved it). The views from the terrace are fantastic. The house is well equipped, with everything we needed in the kitchen, plus a barbecue. There was plenty of space for us all. The host Julie was lovely - she contacted me well before we arrived, and then was in regular communication throughout the week. She met us when we arrived and gave us a detailed tour, including some of the history of the Chateau. We all really enjoyed our stay, and hope to return in the future.
We felt welcomed from the moment Julie (our host) contacted us. Julie reached out several weeks in advance of our stay to send us helpful information and find out how she could assist with any advance arrangements we might need or want. The directions to the Chateau were excellent. When we arrived, we were greeted like family by our hosts, Julie and Timothee. They took the time to give us a thoughtful and thorough tour and history of their family’s home. In addition to the helpful printed booklet, there were maps and information about local places of interest. The Chateau is immaculately clean and environmentally friendly. The views from the terrace and primary bedroom are magnificent. Although a bit on the firm side, the beds and pillows were comfortable. All of us slept well and woke up to the happy sound of birds. Although not a problem for us, do be aware that access all of the bedrooms requires climbing stairs. There are 2 toilets on the ground level. Throughout our stay, Julie and Timothee were only a message or phone call away and responded quickly. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to return.
