The Golden Sands, located in Ocean City, offers everything a vacationer could want without needing to leave the building complex. Enjoy the beach, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis, oceanfront volleyball, and game and exercise rooms! During the summer season, visit the beach bar and grill, sandwich shop, convenience store, and gift shops.

Wake up every single day to the unmistakable sound of the crashing waves at this perfect 1 BR with private Den beach condo. It has everything you and your guests could ever need to spend a carefree and restful vacation. It features a well-equipped kitchen with all the essentials, central air-conditioning, a private balcony overlooking the water, on-site washer/dryer for your laundry needs, comfortable and inviting furniture, and a TV with cable. New additions for 2024 include a brand-new sofa bed, TV, and refrigerator.

Things to Know
The building provides complimentary WiFi as a courtesy, but it is not guaranteed.
The indoor pool will be closed beginning Monday, March 2, 2026 through Friday, March 14, 2026 for our annual maintenance. The pool will reopen on Saturday, March 15, 2026.
The indoor pool and large outdoor pool will not accommodate children in diapers. There is an outdoor kiddie pool provided for children in diapers.
Per building management, cannabis is prohibited everywhere on the Golden Sands grounds.
Ocean City has adopted a noise control ordinance that makes it unlawful to cause or permit noise levels which exceed those established by the Department of the Environment of the State of Maryland (COMAR 26.02.03.02) or are in violation of Chapter 30, Article V of the Town Code. It shall be a violation of this agreement and grounds for eviction under Maryland law if these noise levels are exceeded as a result of activity on this property. Ocean City has other noise ordinances, which are criminal offenses if violated.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Loved the layout of the condo, the floor to ceiling, windows, and all of the amenities of the property. The bed and couch were very uncomfortable. Our backs would hurt after sleeping and sitting. We had to purchase aluminum foil because the kitchen was not stocked very well and we decided to leave it behind as a pay it forward for future guest as we often see in the condos we rent equipped with the basic supplies like that.

It was ok the room was clean on time the master bedroom did get really hot had to close the curtains to keep it cool but other than that the only other thing was working the TV remotes was challenging But it was a decent place to stay

The unit served its purpose while we were there, although some attention is needed for maintenance and updating. Broken washer, exhaust fan in kitchen doesn’t work, curtains in bedroom didn’t open/close and the screen door was bent and had a torn screen in it.

Great location for a great price

We enjoyed our spring break in Ocean City, the check-in process was easy. The condo is steps from the beach, and has an awesome tennis court, that is what we cared the most. I can tell the condo was cleaned and equipped with all we needed. However, it is time to invest in a new master bedroom mattress and bedspread as it looks old and dirty. The living room needs a new sofa again. Found mouse droppings in the kitchen at arrival and every morning while we were there. Again for the price, a short stay, location, and other friends staying in the same building, it was as expected based on previous reviews.

Summer Vacation

The view was beautiful and the location was nice. The condo is outdated. Vacasa was great until I needed to request a 2nd service on the washer. I was told 2 days before arriving that the washer was broken & being repaired. It was not. I called & the woman I spoke with was very helpful and efficient in scheduling a service for the following day. Unfortunately, that service didn't fix anything. When I called back to ask for it to be looked at as recommended by the service tech when he left, no one ever showed up and the man I spoke with at Vacasa was extremely rude. Outside of my correspondence with him, Vacasa has always been a great company to rent through.

We have been going to Golden Sands for 20 years. We really enjoyed our stay this year. The manager for Vacasa at Golden Sands was very helpful if any problems occurred. Her name is Susi *****. She is the definition of customer service.

Great location, great views . . .BUT

First off, Golden Sands is a fantastic condo resort in Ocean City, Maryland. The amenities are wonderful. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Unit 404 had some issues which should have been addressed by the Vacasa cleaning crew before our arrival. The stench when we opened the condo door was terrible. We contacted Vacasa who advised us that it was due to a faulty garbage disposal. We opened every door and window to air the place out. By nightfall, we were all sick. If we were going to last the week, we decided we would need to clean it. We stripped all the beds down to the mattresses and started washing all the linens. We went to a local store and bought bleach, more laundry detergent, and fabric freshener. We spent the next 12 hours cleaning everything. We discovered a mouse nest under the kitchen sink and a dead mouse behind the refrigerator. Needless to say, after all of our efforts we probably had the cleanest condo at Golden Sands. Vacasa knew there was a mouse problem based on the number of traps left in the unit. Why, no one checked the unit before it was rented to make sure it was rodent free is beyond me. After sending off photos of the dearly departed Mickey to Vacasa, they offered us 10% off for the week. We felt they should have refunded one day's average rent (about 15%) since we lost our first day of vacation to cleaning. There were some other cleaning issues, so the point is, any condo rental from Vacasa is only going to be as good as the person who did the cleaning. Unit 404 beds were good, kitchen was well stocked, A/C kept unit cool. Unit 404 did not have adequate seating and lighting especially if you like to read. We would rent another Vacasa unit at Golden Sands in the future.

It’s a nice unit with enough room for a small family with the exception of the sofa bed. The sofa is filthy and the sofa bed is in bad shape. There’s no way you could have 1 person sleep there let alone 2. Invest in a new sofa bed and we would definitely stay there again This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.
