About this property

Black Butte Home- Best Deal on Ranch!

Our 2,200-square-foot home is waiting for you to enjoy! We are centrally located by Paulina Pool, tennis courts, and creek as well as Big Meadow #13 green. We are on a private cul-de-sac that is safe and quiet. We are a short bike ride or walk through the meadow where you can feed the horses and enjoy the spectacular mountain views. The Glaze Meadow facilities and spa is a ten-minute bike ride and just minutes by car. You can also stay at home and BBQ while taking in the view of Black Butte from the large deck. In the winter, enjoy a cozy fire while you watch the snow fall out the big windows or drive 12 minutes to ski, snowboard or sled. We also have recently added an 85 inch TV so watching sporting events and movies can be enjoyed by everyone.

Our home has three bedrooms, plus a big loft. The upstairs has a large, private master suite with a king bed, and a newly remodeled bathroom. In addition, there is a loft with four single beds. On the main floor, we have two bedrooms (both with queen beds) and a large remodeled bathroom with heated floors. We have recently remodeled the kitchen to include an open concept to the family and dining room. In addition, we have a new HVAC system that includes air conditioning. The kitchen is fully equipped. We have a large dining room table and island that are perfect for family dinners or game playing. Our family room is cozy (but big enough for the whole group) with an 85-inch smart TV, wood stove, and plenty of places to snuggle in and watch a movie or sporting event.

Why should you rent from us? We are honest and reliable people who enjoy sharing our home with others. Black Butte is one of our favorite places in the world and our goal is to provide you with the perfect setting for a vacation. We provide bikes, tennis rackets, sleds, games, and other sporting equipment. We have a proven track record with previous renters and are an affordable option for your next vacation.

Please note:
* IF YOU CHOOSE TO BRING A PET, IT IS AN ADDITIONAL $30 per pet per day. If necessary, please arrange with the owner for the additional fee.
*It is important to note that starting in January, 2024, Black Butte Ranch has changed the way they collect recreation fees. They used to collect a charge of $9.00 per person per day (over the age of 7). They are now putting this responsibility on the owner of the home. We will now collect this fee on this site. It is a flat percentage based on total of rental instead of a per person fee. We have no control over this fee and is required for all renters. You will see it under your bill of "property fee".

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please make sure that the pots, pans, and dishware are clean before you put them back in the cupboards. Please try your best to keep the cupboards organized and put away according to the labels.
Wash and dry two loads. Put the rest of the dirty sheets & towels on the floor by the washer, & the clean sheets & towels on the counter. Have an adult organize the game/puzzle cupboard if used. .
Take garbage to the recycling center—see map—our house cleaners charge $35.00 if they have to take the garbage, so please make sure you are checking all the bathrooms, the garage, and the kitchen.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Pets keep off all furniture & 100% potty trained. They should never be left alone unless they are crated or in the garage. Bath ahead of time.
2. No smoking anywhere on the property. This includes both tobacco and marijuana cigarettes, pipes, cigars, etc.
Please don't put any hot pans or pots, or curling/flat irons on the counters. We have silicone pads that you can use to protect the counters.

The home was easy to find and an exceptional location-close to Paulina Pool and a short drive or bike ride to Glaze Meadow and Lakeside pools. Kitchen was well equipped. Appreciated the air conditioning with temperature outside in the 80's. Katie, the owner, responded to any of our questions, needs promptly. I think my favorite place in the home was sitting out on the deck, very peaceful.

Wonderful Home

We celebrated Thanksgiving with our whole family and had a great time. What a terrific home and in a great location. Close to paths for dogs and kids to walk, and an easy drive to the lodge or to the rec center. The home is comfortable, very well stocked, and was just the right size for our group of 6 adults, 1 teen, 2 toddlers and 2 dogs.

Wonderful family home!

We stayed over Christmas with my parents, 2 siblings and my 4 kids. The house was perfect for a group of this size. The kitchen had everything we could have hoped for and the home was very comfortable. Plenty of room for family activity- puzzles, board games and relaxing. Highly recommend this home!

Best Deal on Ranch!

This may genuinely be the best deal on the Ranch, as the title suggests. The place was clean, the woodshed was stocked with well-seasoned firewood, making fire starting a breeze, and we had every appliance we needed, even a hand mixture for mashed potatoes. Thank you for sharing your home.

We had a wonderful stay at this home in Black Butte Ranch. Friend and family enjoyed the space and location to all the facilities in the ranch. The house was supplied with everything we needed. Great place for grandparents & family, Great location

Very comfortable house with plenty of space for indoor family activities, and great sleeping arrangements for kids. You really do provide everything that we might need in the kitchen. Really like the split heating system with separate temperature and fan controls in different rooms. Great location with pool, tennis court and beautiful Paulina Springs natural area close by. Great opportunity to share nearby Nature Heritage trails with kids.

Perfect for our family of 10, kids, parents, and grandparents. Close to pool and tennis, so kids could be independent. Large deck for all of our dinners and gathering during warm week in August. Comfortable, relaxed at-home feel, big, well-appointed kitchen with large island. Good showers. Well-stocked with bikes tho we had our own so didn’t use them. It was a perfect venue for celebrating an 80th birthday!

Peaceful and relaxing

We will be back! The kitchen, deck and big screen tv were our favorite features. The only negatives are lack of hand railing for the stairs from master bedroom to downstairs and the master bathroom toilet is so low it seems like it is made for small children. Otherwise this house is a 10!

Beautiful home in great area!

Our family had a wonderful vacation in Katie and Rob’s beautiful home! Their recent remodel created a comfortable but cozy atmosphere that allowed us to host a dinner for 12 utilizing the gorgeous huge new island. The kids had a ball riding the house bikes scooters, etc. In the quiet cul-de-sac and the Glaze Meadow pool and walking paths were just minutes away! Perfect location! Great Black Butte home!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Rob and Katie's lovely place in Black Butte. We found the home to be clean, spacious, and comfortable. The large kitchen and bathrooms have been recently updated. We loved spending time on the large deck with comfortable seating. It was a quick walk to Paulina Springs and pool. Our 4 year old grandson especially enjoyed our walks to see the horses in Big Meadow. Having the bicycles available for us to use was a bonus. We would definitely recommend Rob and Katie's place!

Perfect BBR Home

Everything about Katie’s home was wonderful for our two-week trip to BBR in June/July 2025. We had two families (four adults, three kids) and we fit easily. The two king BRs are great for multi-family stays. The bathrooms have been recently redone. There is ample space for kids. The open kitchen and large deck were great for cooking and outdoor dining. The garage is full of bikes and stuff for kids activities. The location is perfect—walking distance to Paulina pool and the golf course (an underrated place for kids to run around in the evenings), on a cul-de-sac for kids to bike or scoot on (away from traffic), and an easy, flat bike ride to Lakeside and the big meadow. The ride to Glaze Meadow is short but hilly. Importantly, the photos of the listing are accurate, which can be a rarity.Also, Katie was responsive throughout our stay. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. I highly recommend Katie’s place!

Liked the central location, but would've liked a bit more privacy. The kitchen and bathroom were clean and nice, but the carpet should be pulled or replaced. It felt very dirty. The description says it sleeps 10. We found 10 people to be very crowded. We were super happy to see all the bikes, towels and full kitchen. Thank you

Great house set-up and location

We had a great 2 week visit to Black Butte! The house location was ideal for us: quiet and close to Paulina Pool and bike trails. The house set-up was good for our group, as well. Enough space for everyone to have their own room and bed, and spread out as desired. We spent most of our time at the house on the porch, which was easy to block off for the dog, and lots of comfortable furniture. The beds and linens were comfortable. Enough bikes to choose from for our family of 4, but some work better than others. If you are picky about your bikes, you may want to bring your own. We had a few issues with the house during our stay, which weren't ideal, but the owners were very responsive, helpful and apologetic.

Great Location and Very Comfortable!

We just stayed for 9 nights in GH280. We found it to be a very comfortable home and two families there quite comfortably. We love this part of BBR - it is VERY close to the Spring and the Paulina pool area. Also nice and close to the 'back' entrance to the ranch for the quick getaway to Camp Sherman. The house was better than advertised as the garage was stocked with good bikes, (we had our own), tennis racquets, foosball, etc. and everything worked fine. The deck and deck furniture are comfortable and shaded for most of the day. We were entertained by deer wandering by, woodpeckers, and the hummingbird show around the feeder was an attraction of it's own. Our only real problem during our stay was the lack of air conditioning during the early August heat wave. We endured temps in the 90s and we had very near triple digits for 3 days (104 in bend) with lows in the high 60s. While the house is advertised with no AC, and there are 3 powerful fans, the master suite on the top just didn't cool off to allow for sleeping comfortably. My wife slept on one of the twins, and I escaped the upstairs heat by sleeping on a hammock (that we brought) in the garage. We simply picked a less-than-perfect week with the heat and the haze/smoke. I would rent this home again, however, we just put an offer on a black butte home so we may not have to!

Happy wooded home

We've been renting at BBR for decades and this house had the best stocked kitchen, kitchen supplies and kitchen storage (extra frigs in garage) of all! Furthermore, we really appreciated the the fleet of bikes, fans for all the rooms, and the large deck which accommodated our extended family . Our family of 5 (two parents, three young adults) was quite comfortable, with some of us working each day and others riding to the pools and pickle courts. We thought this was a great house. THANKS!
