Happy Lobster - Classic Coastal Cottage in the Heart of Short Sands

Welcome to The Happy Lobster!

An adorable Maine Beach cottage right in the middle of vacation paradise!

This cottage offers a spacious main level living area with comfortable living room for relaxing after spending the day on Short Sands Beach, which just happens to be about a 2 - 3 minute walk away!!! You have a stocked kitchen for your vacation meal needs, a lovely dining room for Lobster Bakes!  The full bathroom is located on this level.
 
Head upstairs to find the sleeping arrangements. At the front of the home, there is the Queen primary bedroom with television and window AC. You will also find a twin bed on the second-floor landing. In the 2nd bedroom you will a find a spacious room with Full bed and Twin bed. One thing to note, if you are taller than six-feet you should be cautious of the second-floor ceilings.  There is not much head room for our taller guests.
 
The back patio is a fabulous space for your days for outdoor grilling and outside living! There is a quaint grassy area to the left of your patio so the kiddos can play.
 
This location is perfect for families who want to be immersed in all that the village of Short Sands Beach has to offer! Less than a three minute walk to have your toes in the salt water, you can stop along the way at the many restaurants, shops, arcade, bowling alley and more!  This family friendly beach cottage is just right!!  It certainly is a Happy Place!  Make The Happy Lobster your summer beach house for years and years to come!

Perfect girls' getaway!

The cottage was perfect for my daughter and I. It was in such a great location, and we could walk to the beach and restaurants in under 5 minutes. Thank you for a great weekend!

Great house for a beach getaway

This great little house is perfect walking distance to short sands beach and a longer walk to long sands beach. Once you arrive you can park your car and walk everywhere. Salt and Sands were great with clear instructions and very responsive. We loved the little touches of hospitality.

Perfect Location for a great week at Short Sands in York!

The Happy Lobster at 22B Main Street exceeded our high expectations. The House was good size with plenty of room for everyone and all our stuff. The air conditioning was great as we were visiting on a hot week. Our host Daniele and the entire Salt & Shine Vacation Rental team were very responsive, and answered our questions quickly. The House was in very clean and ready when we arrived. The absolute best part about the house was the location!!! It was just a few houses away from the Goldenrod and a very easy walk to Short Sands Beach. Plenty of places to eat and shop only a short walk away. We absolutely loved our week at York Beach and staying at the Happy Lobster. In full disclosure, the parking space could be a little tight to get into depending on how big the cars are for the people staying in House 22A, but we didn’t have any problems. I would strongly recommend this house for anyone visiting Short Sands at York Beach!!!

Loved The Happy Lobster. Property management response time was phenomenal for the few minor things we needed. Problem with the grill. They had a new grill delivered the next day. Very clean and had everything we needed. Location was fabulous. Within walking to down town and beach. Only issue we had was the parking. Only one car parking. It was difficult to maneuver between 2 other cars oddly parked for 22A every time we left the cottage. For that reason only we prob wouldn’t stay again. It was stressful. Sorry!

With the history of the area and the age of these houses, you'll find many properties in York (especially as close to the beach!!) have back-to-back houses on the same properties!! Parking is sometimes part of earning your sea legs around here, but we're sorry it stressed you out! There are plenty of more properties we can offer you next year with your feedback in mind. :)
