About this property
Cozy Fall Cabin Getaway near hiking w/ firepit and kids bunkhouse
Leave the hustle and bustle behind. Drive down the dirt road to our clean, quiet cabin; nestled in the pines of a quintessential NH lakeside neighborhood.
The cabin features:
-- 2 Bedrooms
-- 1 Bathroom
-- Cozy living room with wood stove
-- Small but well-equipped kitchen stocked with the essentials plus a coffee bar
-- Three-season porch for game nights
-- Nostalgic Bunkhouse with DVDs + Nintendo GameCube for the kids
There is plenty of outdoor space. Enjoy a book on the private deck with peekaboo lake views, rinse off in the outdoor shower after a day on the lake or a hike of Mt. Major, have a seat on the Adirondack chairs around the firepit and reminisce on memories from the day while you enjoy smores.
Adults, relax by the fire while you listen to the kid's laughter from the bunkhouse curated with a few goodies to help keep them occupied.
We have SHARED lake frontage a 3-to-5-minute walk from the cabin, on a flat dirt road. Take a stroll or bike ride.
There is NO BEACH. It is a water access point for swimming / fishing / kayaking (2 included). Kayak carts (2) provided to help you walk kayaks to the water. There is no shoreline sitting area, but we put our chairs right in the water. There is a nice gradual incline for swimming. It is clear, not spongy and not murky. And the view of the Belknap Mountain Range is just gorgeous!
See photos in the listing to get a feel for the waterfront area.
To play in the sand, head to the Town Beach < 1 mile away (see photos) or take a drive to many of the beautiful beaches along Lake Winnipesaukee.
Alton Bay is a 15-minute drive. Irwin Marine has daily boat rentals and SUP-NH has paddle board rentals. Go a bit further (30 mins) to Wolfeboro or Laconia for tons of activities. Be sure to check out the Mount Washington Cruise which stops in Alton Bay and five other Ports around Lake Winnipesaukee.
Don’t feel like leaving the cabin? Grill on the BBQ, play yard games, go on a bike ride around the neighborhood, bring floats down to the shared water frontage. The vibe at the cabin is fun all on its own.
Gunstock Mountain has lots of fun activities – Adventure Park, Ziplining, E-Bike Tours, Scenic Lift Rides, Off-Road Segway Tours, Mountain Coaster and more.
Whether you head out to explore or relax at Little Bear Lodge, unwind by the fire, partake in good ole fashioned competition with a game night on the porch, or cozy up for a movie.

About the host
Your host

We are NH locals living in our old farmhouse with our boys, Ryder and Jax, and Wheaten Terrier, Wrangler. We love exploring everything NH has to offer, especially skiing, hiking and boating. We have spent a lot of time in the Lake's Region and are so excited to have a spot of our own to create memories and share with others to do the same!
Why they chose this property
We quickly fell in love with this quintessential New Hampshire lakeside neighborhood. It's both vibrant and peaceful in the Summer and in the Fall / Winter it's like your own quiet oasis as neighbors are mostly seasonal.
The Lake is beautiful! It has a little bit of everything - mountain views of the Belknap range, soft sand bar and crystal-clear water.

What makes this property unique
The cabin feel is on-point with natural woodworking throughout. The yard is large enough for games and the firepit is perfect for winding down after a day on the lake. The Bunkhouse is a fun bonus for kids!
