Enjoyed our stay. Great property and land and location. Cabin was a little more rustic than we expected. Host very helpful and responsive. Don’t miss the sunset seat.
The property is spectacular - definitely do not miss out on walking the short trail to the two lounge chairs overlooking the expansive valley. The entire stay was serene and away from the hustle of nearby towns, but close enough to still enjoy all of the activities and food options available.
We didn't need a place that slept 8 people but we booked for the seclusion, privacy and our dogs. We got all that and more. For us, it was such a beautiful place and location. So peaceful and relaxing with views that are outstanding. We enjoyed being able to walk our dogs off leash on the properties nice trails. Our dogs were in heaven as were we :-) While we were there, we took the dogs to the collegiate peaks overlook outside Buena Vista, walked the nice little park in BV then headed south to walk around downtown Salida, good stuff. My wife commented that she was impressed with the shower pressure for a cabin that has nothing around it, it was a nice surprise. It was very clean with comfortable furniture and our Host Zac was very accomodating. We look forward to the next time we can stay in the mountain cabin and can highly recommend to anyone who values their peace & quiet.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
The host communicated clearly and quickly. Check in and out were both simple processes. Bed sheets were freshly laundered and floors and bathrooms were clean. The house was in need of some TLC that wasn't reflected in the pictures on the site. A shame because the cabin was in a cool location and has lots of potential--just needs some more in-depth maintenance. Honestly, I could have overlooked more of the maintenance needs if the price was a bit more reasonable, but we paid more than 500/night.
Zac is really helpful and quick with responses. We didn’t realize there was no ac but it cooled down for sleeping with all the windows open. You can tell he has been updating parts of the cabin it’s in amazing shape. Hot tub you can see 1000 of stars and the bench is great viewing and comfy. The porch swing is not up when we were there so that was disappointing. Stocked pretty well for whatever you might need. Plenty of board games and tv available for use. The water does have a softener and if you aren’t use to that then it’ll be salty tasting like it was to us.
Beautiful location. Private and quiet. GREAT location and cabin for getting away and enjoying nature and the scenery. Hot tub under the stars was a bonus. Cabin was well appointed and very comfortable.
This cabin was absolutely incredible for a weekend getaway for two of us. The privacy is unbelievable! The cabin is inviting, spacious, and warm. The hot tub was very clean and great to soak in under the stars at night. The host has gone out of their way to make this a wonderful getaway with lots of little touches inside. Loved it and we will book it again in the future.
Our family enjoyed this little hidden gem, which had plenty of room for everyone to sprawl out and enjoy themselves after a long day at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs. The trail leading away from the cabin offers breathtaking views, with solar lights providing easy navigation back to the cabin if you're out at night.
We had a excellent experience while staying here. Location was secluded, peaceful, and had amazing views all around. The house was not far away from town and it was easy to get supplies or shop for gifts.Host was very helpful and responsive. He was also proactive and made sure we had everything we needed before we could even ask. He was knowledge of the area which helped us out a lot.
Our host Zach was very generous allowing for an early check in that ultimately, we did not need. The host responded promptly to our questions/concerns about the property. In his defense, it is isolated and far from any nearby towns (or even neighbors). However, there was no toilet paper to be had; not a single roll. Nor any wine glasses. The linens were excellent quality; beds and pillows quite comfortable but overall, the place was "tired". The deck needs staining/painting. May of the side rails were loose which was a potentially hazardous situation. It seems that many utensils have walked. The listing is potentially for 8; we were 4 adults (with a great deal of rental property experience). Cutlery was barely sufficient for 4. Several of the dishes were broken or chipped. My friend cut herself on a cracked bowl that was left on the shelf. We did not use the hot tub as we were concerned about the water's sanitation. It is described as rustic but needs some serious attention. I wish I could have written a more positive review; unfortunately, I cannot.
WHAT A VIEW!! This property is so peaceful and beautiful. It is secluded but yet there are a couple of places within 10-15 min. The kitchen had pots, pans, cookie sheet, muffin tin, electric skillet and a beautiful gas range/stove. The owner was easy to reach for questions and we will definitely be back again!!
This property is SO beautiful and well kept. We had two families (9 total) and it accommodated all of us very well. Zac was very helpful and communicated well. His recs are on point as well. We loved every minute of our stay and would HIGHLY recommend!!
This cabin delivered in every way and was such an awesome place to use as our base of operations in Colorado! It's just a short trip into BV and Salida but really makes you feel like you're secluded in the woods which is what we were hoping. It's really a property that has to be seen to believe. From the hot tub, to the bench for watching the sunset, to the awesome covered porch, it was even better than advertised. Zac was quick to respond to our questions and made us feel very welcome.
Family of five who loves Colorado, staying off the beaten path, where we can bring our dogs. This place was perfect for that. Close enough to town allowing easy travel for all adventures Colorado, yet far enough out to feel away. Zach responded to all correspondence in a timely manner. Would happily stay here again if in the area.Couple pieces of advice for future renters: bring a pickleball net, the rv storage pad is perfect for the game. Bring a few outdoor chairs for the porch or sit out by the pickleball court.
We very much enjoyed our stay, and will definitely be back. The cabin is beautiful, the beds are so comfortable, very clean and cozy. The family and dogs have so much room to roam and relax . There is a lot to do around the area if you want to go on adventures, If you want to just hang out at the cabin there are games and pickle ball, and of course lots of room to just walk around the property. This is our second trip to this wonderful cabin, and both times our experience was excellent. Our host is always attentive and answers quickly. This will be a part of our annual vacation plans.
Thank you for everything Zac
The cabin was as advertised - It was a very nice cabin in the woods. The house was clean and felt very homey. The owner was always available for questions before and during our stay. The 2 bathrooms were big enough to share, had plenty of towels and bathroom necessities, and the showers had good water pressure. There are 2 nice bedrooms on the main level with a living room, kitchen, and eating area. The kitchen was well stocked. The upstairs 3rd bedroom had a queen bed in a nook and 2 bunkbeds on the other side of the bathroom, so there was plenty of room for family or kids. Also had a nice big couch and tv in the loft area. The only negative is the entrance is easy to miss (especially at night), even when you've been there a couple of times. There should be something to better identify the correct driveway.
It is a beautiful cabin on 20 acres but needs to be maintained better.
It needs a good cleaning, very dirty.
**The two stairs in the back were dangerous, they rolled all the way over almost fell.
Hot tub jets not working on high setting.
Shower upstairs was plugged.
Dead bugs everywhere.
Shower downstairs needs a new valve.
Overall the cabin and location was great just needs some TLC to be excellent.
Zac was excellent about communicating with me throughout the stay if I had any questions. The cabin is very nice, the beds comfortable and everything very clean. One recommendation I would make is to have the kitchen better provisioned. There weren't enough glasses, large bowls and other cooking materials to work with. Also, the coffee machine didnt work properly. That's impirtant to my family as we are all coffee drinkers. The surrounding area behind the cabin is beautiful and forested. I was a bit disappointed to find how close it was to highway 24, though. You can hear the noise of yraffic along the highway when you're outside the cabin. Nothing the property owner can do about that, its just an observation. Overall, the stay was very nice and Zac was always very helpful with any questions.
