The house was nicely decorated. It advertised 3 bedrooms and 1 bath. The bedroom immediately off the den is pretty small. Fortunately, we did not need to use it. We were happy with the location of the house and the property manager communicated with us in a timely manner.
Unfortunately, a tree branch fell on the power line in the back yard which caused a number of electrical issues in the house. The utility company did not come out before we checked out the next day.
My family and I stopped here for one night on our way to Florida. The house was very clean and the beds were great. “The Pig and The Pint” restaurant is right around the corner in walking distance. We got the pit master sampler that was delicious and it had generous portions.
My granddaughter had a doctor's appt 5 min away so we made a trip of it. This adorable little house was perfect. So comfortable. There was a room with twin beds and toys my grandkids so enjoyed. This was our first time using vrboo and this little house was perfect for our needs.
Communication with owner was perfect and quickly answered anything that came up. I would definitely book this house again. It just so charming.
We were supposed to stay here on our way back home to Texas. Last minute, we decided to just drive all the way back from Florida to have a day of rest before school/work. We have stayed in the Fondren area several times on the way to Rosemary Beach and have always enjoyed our stays. We would definitely choose to stay at this home again! The owner was super nice and helpful. Plus it’s in a great area. Love to eat at the Pig and Pint! Fun area to be in!
Cute house! Very comfortable and welcoming. Neig Near lots of restaurants. Host was great!

Liked: Amenities, communication
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
We felt it should have been cleaner outside - seating area scruffy. Windows and doors really need to be improved.
Facilities available in house were fine. Older building with a degree of settlement especially relating to the floors.
The home is comfortable and very well-maintained. The location was great for us, nearby the University Hospital. Perks: Amazon Prime TV, comfortable beds, great kitchen, living room, etc. Sweet hosts as well. Note to host: Thank you and need to let you know that because of the hard wind that morning at 7:00 a.m., the door, unfortunately, flung open and hit the vase to the left of the door, knocking the vase off the porch.
This is a smaller old home with character. The furniture and beds were comfortable. There were limited items in the kitchen compared to what I typically find in a VRBO rental, but we made do. We were there during a 40-year record setting cold snap and ended up with the hot water frozen - still had cold water which had been left to drip - my fault for not opening both. The furnace was not keeping up with the temperature, but after communicating with the host and changing the filter, it worked fine. The drive is narrow and steep. We were in a minivan and had to watch how we angled in and out to keep from scraping. The top step in the front is higher than the others and for elderly and/or short legs, it was noticeable. Overall, we were happy with the house and the owner was very easy to contact. She even had someone come by to double check the furnace to make sure there were no other issues. The location is in a quiet older neighborhood. We felt safe and would definitely stay again if we were looking for a place in the area. We enjoyed the downtown area. Several great places to eat and a grocery store nearby, but it was expensive. We also attended a musical at New Stage and enjoyed it very much. We went to the Sports Hall of Fame and Natural History Museum. I would recommend both.
What can I say, the host was awesome!! Ran into an issue and she was so helpful, the house was beautiful ! I’m planning on booking this home again in the near future.
