Fun times at the beach

Family had a great week at the beach. Was a little disappointed that the house did not have its own private path to the beach.....thankful the public access was right next to the house. Some rooms did not have very much room to keep personal items. We made adjustments and overall enjoyed our stay.

Great Location for Large Group

We had 11 adults. The home has a great deck and pool area with easy access to the beach. Plenty of parking and a large living room area with open access to the beach. The furniture could stand to be updated, but was adequate. The twin beds shown are in a walk in closet off one of the bedrooms so just be aware. It’s actually the quietest room in the house and has TV and HVAC to the space. Overall it was good for what we needed and would consider booking again if we return to Oak Island.

Some of the pictures are misleading.....

The house was lovely to look at but seems silly to think it would sleep 23 people comfortably; it wasn't as clean as it should have been either. There's only one refrigerator which would barely hold the drinks you need much less any food. The bedrooms can be a tight fit and there's little room for anything like clothes or luggage. The pool was low on water and there was a rim of algae all around it, the hot tub had smelly water, the deck furniture is not padded although there were a few ratty, flat cushions on a couple of the items. The area under the house is not bright and welcoming as portrayed... it's dark, damp and run down, weeds surround the downstairs area. That being said, the management company responded promptly to concerns and were courteous to deal with. And, for all the little problems, we had a great time.
