The Neighborhood:
Welcome to Historic Springfield, one of Jacksonville’s most distinctive urban neighborhoods and one of the city’s best places to experience its historic architecture, local restaurants, parks, and community culture.
Located immediately north of Downtown Jacksonville, Springfield is known for its beautiful late-19th and early-20th-century homes, wide front porches, tree-lined streets, and historic parks.
The neighborhood’s Main Street corridor is home to a growing collection of locally owned restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, and neighborhood hangouts. Local favorites include 1748 Bakehouse, Purple Bagel, Artessence Coffee, Crispy’s, Strings Sports Brewery, Tulua Bistro, Uptown Kitchen & Bar, Wafaa & Mike’s Mediterranean Café, and Fred Cotten’s BBQ.
Springfield is also home to beautiful Klutho Park and the Hogans Creek park system, along with neighborhood events including Porchfest, home tours, and community gatherings throughout the year.
Best of all, you’re just minutes from Downtown Jacksonville and the rest of Jacksonville’s Urban Core, making Springfield a great home base for exploring the city.
Springfield is a historic, diverse urban neighborhood rather than a gated or suburban community. Guests looking for historic architecture, local character, and an authentic urban Jacksonville experience will feel right at home here.
Getting Around:
Public transportation is minimal in Jacksonville in general. You are a few blocks north of the downtown bus terminal if you would like to use that.
There is also the Skyway if you would like to take a short trip around the urban core area.
Uber and Lyft both operate in Jacksonville so these are excellent resources if you don't feel like driving/don't have access to a car.

Thank you, Craig! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed your stay. Your kind words mean a lot to us. We look forward to welcoming you back for another great experience soon!
The place as a whole is going to be beautiful and comfortable once it's completed. Although the host tried his best to replace the refrigerator, it didn't and a mini fridge for 9 people didn't work.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during your stay. We sincerely apologize for the refrigerator issue and completely agree that a mini fridge for a group of nine was less than ideal. We were happy to provide a credit for the inconvenience.
We’re pleased to report that the refrigerator situation has officially been promoted from “mini” to full-size and fully functional! We’d love the opportunity to welcome you back to enjoy the property as intended, with plenty of room for everyone’s groceries.
Inside was super clean. the pool as nice, it could use some landcaping. Also, It looked like they were in the process of prepping and painting the exterior of the building. Also, didn't realize there wasn't access to the washer and Dryer.... not cool when we are staying for longer times. Might reconsider staying there just because of that.

Thank you for your feedback! We’re happy to hear you found the property super clean and enjoyed the pool. Since your stay, we’ve added new landscaping and have made upgrades to enhance the outdoor area.
Regarding the washer and dryer, we completely understand how important laundry access can be for longer stays. The available amenities are outlined in the listing description so guests can review them prior to booking, but we appreciate your feedback and will continue looking for ways to make longer stays more convenient. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again!
Overall a great place to stay during our visit to the Jacksonville area.

Thank you, Lauren, for your kind words! We're thrilled you enjoyed your stay and appreciated our communication. Your feedback inspires us to keep improving. We look forward to welcoming you back soon!
We enjoyed our stay. One bed which was clearly for a child wasnt the absolute cleanest but that may have been something just overlooked by a cleaner. Overall we loved the house and the stay.

Thank you for choosing this property for your recent stay, Ruth! We look forward to having you again. :)
I came in with four buddies for the Packers-Jaguars game. The place was very clean and is set up perfectly for big groups. I would definitely stay here again. It is located in a great/safe area with several restaurants and bars within walking distance. Thanks for being a great host!
Modern appliances, big kitchen & gas grill with outdoor space for the cooks. More then enough room for 6+ guest. Pretty blended neighborhood, overall would book again
We had a great time at the property, enjoyed local Italian food downtown on our way to the Veterans Memorial Civic Center. The back yard was a perfect hangout spot for us to gather. It was too warm to use the fire pit but still a lovely set up !

So glad you enjoyed the property and your stay! Would love to host you all again.
Communication with the owner was 6 stars. House was extremely clean and well stocked and we appreciated the Keurig coffee cups. Area is being revitalized which worked out well with parking since we had 5 vehicles. Area is also quiet. The only thing we wished was if it had a blender.
It was a beautiful home and I would definitely stay there again. There were 7 adults and there was more than enough space for everyone and we didn't even use the third floor. Although we spent most of time at my brother's home, the time we did spend at the home was great. There were two rooms downstairs for my senior sisters and younger group took the rooms upstairs. Beautifully decorated.
We stayed in the house with my new in-laws for our wedding. It was their first time in the United States. The house was comfortable, had everything we needed, and allowed us to be together or have space when we needed it. The neighborhood is in transition and I’m sure will continue to be charming and interesting. We were close to the highway for heading North, to and from the airport, easy to get to the beaches, explore Riverside, and hop on the highway to head south.
I hosted a bachelorette party here in January! The listing was very accurate! The host responded promptly 24/7 to any questions, concerns and requests we had, and even had more dishwasher pods delivered during our stay when we realized they had run out! The rooms were spacious and it had a lot of great amenities. While the fire table was not working, we aren’t sure if we would want to be outside at night as the area is still up and coming even with a high fence. We did not feel comfortable walking at night, but Ubers/lyft were easily booked, and the stay was very centrally located to get to towns and even the beach! We had a great time would definitely stay again!
You can tell the place was newly remodeled on the inside. The living room, kitchen and living spaces were beautiful. The rooms were very comfortable in the bathrooms and beautiful as well. I have very little complaints.
Three things worth noting where was that the kitchen wasn’t fully stocked with cooking materials to properly cook a meal, the backyard had broken glass on the ground, some of the outdoor chairs were broken, and the propane tanks weren’t full for the outdoor fire pit.
Besides those things, it was a good stay
Our group of 8-9 travel once a year to an away game. This year we chose Jacksonville. We have always gotten separate hotels. This year we wanted to do it a little different. We reserved this place.
From the easy booking process to checkin and check out; the process was so easy and convenient.
If I had a question the host was quickly to respond. Not many questions were needed.
The house was super clean, organized and very well stocked.
If in Jacksonville or at any city this host has a property, I will be looking them up for our next nfl game.

Interesting location
The home would be a good location if the house across the street did not have people hanging outside, loud arguing outside with sketchy people going in/out. The refrigerator did not cool the first night. There was spider webs in various places with very thick dust in the vent. The amount of beds in each room was misrepresented. The bedroom by the kitchen did not have a door and no window covering on the exit door to the outside. The window in the middle bedroom on the second floor is leaking water. The vent dust and refrigerator not cooling was resolved on the second day of our stay.

Stay review
I have a mixed review. The property inside and outdoor space look exactly like what was online. It was very very nice. We were a bit worried about the area when we arrived but realized that this is an up and coming area and it wasn’t nearly as bad as our first impression. It is very close to downtown and the Jaguar stadium so that was nice. Property was not as advertised when we arrived. Bed count and type of beds was not correct. We had 10 people and needed every bed. Hvac was not working so we didn’t start off well BUT…. Here is what I can say… Eric and his crew were available for my issues and communicated with me throughout New Years. They got us the beds we needed and had an HVAC tech there until the problem got corrected. Can’t say enough good things about them. There is a good brewery and restaurant right behind the house on Main St. Hopefully we got all the bugs worked out for the next groups. It’s a very nice place and great place for a large group. I would recommed staying there.
The house is beautifully renovated and true to the photos. I believe we may have been the first guests to stay since the renovations have been done. It was very well done, extremely clean and had so many nice extras. The beds were very comfortable along with the furnishings in the living areas. Oddly, we did not have access to the entire place as 3rd floor bedrooms were locked off along with the first floor laundry room. That did bother our stay.
Arriving to the property it became evident that it is one of the first houses in a very sketchy area to have been renovated. The houses on either side of this property are in disrepair, one is definitely occupied but one may not be. The occupied residence has a dog that lives out back and barks constantly, especially through the night. There are a couple other houses on the block that have been renovated, seemingly by the same company that owns the property - definitely encouraging! The area has great potential too, as just a block over on Main Street there are a few newly revived businesses: coffee, bakery, craft brewery, etc. there’s evidence of other renovations occurring as well. By day it was enjoyable to explore - I would not have felt safe walking at night.
Last item that would have been nice to know before, that did impact our stay and ability to sleep well, is the the fact that there’s some level of emergency care facility a few blocks away. Sirens were blaring all night long.

We appreciate the feedback and review Peggy. We do want to respond so we can assist future guests with making their decision to stay at the property.
One is the area is extremely safe. While the home does have a property next door that is vacant, it does not attract crime and we have a low crime rate in the neighborhood. There is a local fire station which could have caused sirens at night but they were several blocks away so this should have been a one-off noise and not all night. From prior reviews you can see that sirens is not recurring feedback for this property.
The 3rd Floor is restricted for guests who need the full occupancy of the house, up to 15 people in total. We do not allow access to all groups since the house is extremely large and this more exclusive option helps us keep the cleaning cost down for all reservations.
As you noted, we took great pride in renovating this home and ensuring all of the amenities were high-quality. We hope all guests enjoy their stay and we do welcome feedback like this in real-time so we can offer an alternative property if this one is not to your satisfaction. Thank you!
The house was beautiful inside and had everything you could need. The surrounding neighborhood is a bit sketchy especially with the house next door that looks like it’s falling apart but over all our stay in the house was great. The rooms were clean the bathrooms were beautiful and everything was modern and up to date. We would definitely stay again if we come back to this area.
