The actual apartment was fine. My main complaint about the apartment was that the sofa bed was awful. I have been on some pretty bad sofa beds before but this was by far the worst.
My second complaint is about the whole process. This was my first experience with a Vrbo rental and I don't think I will do it again. To start with the check-in process was quite complicated (compounded by the fact that the host sent me the wrong instructions!!!): Park on the street (there was no street parking, by the way...my husband just waited in the car on the corner), get a fob to get in the building out of a lockbox, go up to the fourth floor apartment, get another fob to get into the garage, park in the garage, and finally you can get out an unload your car. Secondly, we were asked by the hosts not to bother the apartment building staff, and that if anyone approached us to state that were were staying in a corporate lease, not a Vrbo rental. I don't even know what a corporate lease is, and I'm a terrible liar, so I'm glad no one said anything. The whole experience left me with a feeling like I was staying in someone else's home without being invited.
Finally, I'll add that this apartment building is quite nice but it seems to be on the edge of a recently gentrified neighborhood. So, if you head towards the grocery store, which is conveniently only a block away, you are in a pretty sketchy part of town.
