Peaceful

just an ok house - NOT part of the resort!!

Although the house was mostly ok, one of the main reasons we chose it was because of the access to the Regal Palms Resort amenities. However, upon arrival, we quickly realized that some of the information in the Vacasa/VRBO listing did not pertain to this house. After calling Vacasa and them having the property manager return my call, we were advised the property was incorrectly listed as being inside of the resort and so we could not access any of the resort amenities. In addition to that inconvenience, there were other aspects of the house we did not find acceptable. The sliding door to the pool was extremely hard to open/close. There were very few kitchen items for use (not even a potholder, so we left the one we purchased). So if you plan on cooking a lot during your stay, I would not suggest this house. There were no extra blankets for the pull out sofa bed. Both shower faucets spun all the way around and dripped nonstop. Bed mattresses were just ok. Pool was nice, but not very private - as there is a street directly behind it that the neighbors think is their personal drag strip. And although I understand the need for a textured/slip-resistant bottom, this pool was actually painful and we all left with numerous scratches on our bodies. There was also a lot of hair on the bedroom/bathroom floors as though it was not thoroughly swept after the last renters. All things considered, I do not think I would rent this house again.

Missed information

After booking my reservation, then I found out it cost extra to heat the pool to rent a grill. The kitchen counter has been covered with contact paper with cuts all over in it, and the contact paper coming off around the sink while you do dishes and on the corners of the counter, very Unsanitary. I believe when you pay so much money to stay at a place like that. It shouldn’t look like that and I feel I should be getting a refund of some type. Also, the sliding glass door handle was broke right from the beginning of our stay . there were.FOUR very annoying barking dogs next-door that they didn’t bother to shut them down or be quiet. They did take them inside but they weren’t happy about it. I would like a response back about my feedback and hear what somebody else has to say about this. Thank you.

Little Safe Haven

Good thing was the house was clean and size was sufficient for 5 people. Location to amenities was good but I wont be back. Owners clearly invest the absolute minimal amount into this property to make it decent for guests. Things I did not expect that the owners should work on: 1. Plug in air fresheners in every room. The smell was overwhelming for me, but my sense of smell is very sensitive. If the smell of plug ins bother you, request them to be removed ahead of time as it took 3 days for the smell to dissipate. My first thought was what are they trying to cover up, but once the plug in stench went away it was fine. 2. Mold in the master bathroom window. Not a deal breaker but gross to look at. 3. A big zero rating on the kitchen accommodations. Not even salt and pepper. Minimal pots and pans provided and what was provided were very small and flimsy. If you are planning on eating in be prepared if there are more than 2 people. No outdoor grill, Kitchen counter tops were destroyed, they were scratched up and peeling. I am guessing because of inadequate cutting board that was designed for cutting lemons. 4. Yard was not taken care of. Grass was over grown and lawn sprinklers broken. 5. Not the best neighborhood. Neighbor had his car on blocks half the time and rebuilding the engine in the front yard. Not a big deal to me but the neighborhood is a bit on the sketchy side. 6. Pool was not clean
