This place exceeded all expectations! Everything is high end & feels like a cozy home, not a rental. The walk in tub was a highlight, like having your own hot tub for 1.
Master bedroom mattress was super comfortable.
Of all the VRBO homes I have rented, this one showed attention to detail by the owner better than any other property. This home is better than you can imagine. Very nice home, great beds, excellent kitchen, and in a very nice neighborhood. We could easily walk to a great park (lower Colorado River) or to historic downtown.
Plus I can't help but mention the great hospitality from the Texas owners. They were wonderful and made sure our stay was perfect.
Came for my birthday weekend and it was not disappointing. Modern conveniences in an older house. The shower was AMAZING. The bed was very comfortable and the weighted blanket made sleeping so easy. We were close to downtown which was nice and once we got our bearings it was easy to get around town. The attention to detail was fabulous. We plan to come back when it’s warmer to enjoy the backyard.
This home is absolutely stunning and is decorated beautifully. We didn’t want for anything! Great kitchen set up with high end appliances. Comfortable seating in the living and dining room. We enjoyed a glass of wine on the front porch. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable. And the location! Close to just about anything you want to do in the Bastrop area. It took us less than 3 minutes to get to downtown for shopping and dining. I can ’t say enough about this beautiful home. It was just wonderful.
From the moment I booked months ahead, the communication was wonderful. I had a few questions and even requested to stay an additional night and it was all handled effortlessly. The owners are kind and wonderful. The attention to detail in decor was truly impressive. There are so many additional benefits not listed in the description that made our stay 5 star. Everything you need is provided in abundance and the bar is high in linens, towels, cook ware, dishes, reverse osmosis drinking water, instant hot water and more. We spent every night sitting on the beautiful porch talking deep into the night. This is also an extremely safe location, we even took night walks. The beds are very comfortable and there are also extra cots. The decor is gorgeous, the bathrooms large and wonderful. The kitchen was a pleasure to use. Please choose this house for your visit and invite your friends to visit.
Everything was comfy-cozy, a perfect place to stay while enjoying Bastrop. The hosts were very welcoming, and allowed me privacy to enjoy my time. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the town. I hope to visit Bastrop again, and would stay here, for sure. Be aware that there are steps to access the house, for those with mobility issues.
The host, Dani, met us when we first pulled up to the house. She and her husband live next door. She provided us with a couple of special instructions. We invited her in to show us what the instructions pertained to. She also provided us with some additional helpful information. We had a very nice chat with her. She made us feel right at home. Also, we were in town for a family wedding. Four houses were rented in total by family members. They all had issues. We didn't have a single one. And our house was by far the best!
What a charming house. Convenient to town. Well furnished. Comfortable. The host met with us to tell us about the house. We will be back for another stay!
I joked that this is my home away from home, but truthfully, it is the most wonderful place to stay anytime we are in Bastrop. The house is absolutely perfect and the couple who runs it is absolutely amazing. We truly have found a wonderful little jewel in this amazing little town.
From the moment we pulled into the driveway, we knew we had made the best decision to book our stay here. Bastrop is a darling community, and this home welcomes you the moment you open its door. If you have an opportunity to meet the owners, you absolutely should make the time. They have broad knowledge and great ideas to share about the area. The labor of love and renovations put into this home are fascinating! There is so much to appreciate and adore about this property.
I feel as though I made a new friend! Dani and Gary are amazing people and so welcoming and kind. Me, my best friend, my mom, and daughter (8 y.o.) stayed here for a dance competition and were able to relax and enjoy our "girls trip" when we weren't at the arts center. Everything is centrally located and the accommodations were excellent. If I could design my dream house this would be it! Thank you for sharing a piece of your life and your heart & soul with us. We will always remember this!
We loved our stay. Comfortable, convenient and well appointed. The home is very inviting and so are the hosts, Gary and Dani. Would highly recommend if visiting Bastrop!
There needs to be more information about the walk in tub for those of us who are newbies. Also, the water temperature for the shower are in the opposite places. The trash can cabinet could be labeled to make it easier to find. safety bars would also be a great addition for those of us who are advanced in years or handicapped.
