With easy access to all of Golden BC's exciting activities, and a beautiful, open interior with mountain views from every window, you won't find a better basecamp for your family's summer vacation. Golden provides endless opportunities for exploring the Purcell Mountains to the west and the Rockies to the east, as well as mountain biking, hiking, rafting, and more right in town. You can even walk or run into the woods without getting in your car.

Our newly built, fully furnished house is located in a family neighborhood just 5 minutes from downtown Golden and 20 minutes from Kicking Horse Resort. Perched on a hill above town, you will find yourself insulated from traffic and bustle, while remaining embedded in a peaceful community. Surrounded on all sides by forest and expansive mountain views, this comfortable, modern home is the perfect place unwind from your latest adventure, and stare out the window, dreaming about your next.

In our 1300 sq ft home, you will find a spacious and bright open concept living/dining/kitchen with vaulted ceilings, hardwood and tile floors, and granite countertops. The front looks out onto Kicking Horse Mtn. Resort, and the back opens onto a deck with BBQ and more stunning mountain views.

The large master bedroom has a king-sized bed that overlooks the forested, bird-filled backyard. The ensuite master bath is filled with natural light and boasts a luxury walk-in waterfall shower.

The second bedroom has a queen bed and a large closet, and looks west at the breathtaking Dogtooth peaks. The 3rd bedroom on the lower level has the same mountain view and bunk beds for the kids.

The kitchen is made for people who love good food and drink. With plenty of space for everyone to help out or hang out, and all the supplies to make cooking an easy task, the gang will be sure to gather around to renourish their bodies and souls. We provide everything you need for breakfast through desert, including all dishes, a large selection of cookware, all the appliances you might desire, and culinary basics like spices, cooking oil, and condiments.

The back deck is a shady place to escape those hot summer afternoons and do some grilling as afternoon turns to evening. Unfortunately, because this house was only finished last fall, you may not yet find a manicured outdoor green space on the property, depending on when you stay. The front yard is completely unfinished. The backyard is half dirt, and half of it we have left with the original wild environment: pine and aspen trees and rose and saskatoon bushes. It is a welcoming home for birds and squirrels and we have a slack line between the trees. We will be starting the landscaping early this summer, and hope to have it done before peak season, but we cannot guarantee any timeline on that. Luckily, just a 2 minute walk down the road is a small neighborhood playground and park, with grass, swings, a slide, and a basketball hoop. Our road ends in a cul de sac, and on any given summer night you will see neighborhood children playing in the street. I will update this description when the landscaping is complete.

There is an occupied suite in the basement below. Our long-term tenants have a completely separate entrance at the back of the house and their own laundry. There is no shared indoor space between the lower level and the main level. PLEASE be considerate: quiet hours between 11-7, do not park on the right side of the driveway, respect their privacy and security by staying out of the garage.
