This is an amazing place!!! Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing! Town of Golden has some great restaurants and the Golden Skybridge Park was lots of fun!! Able to easily get to parks for some hikes as well.
Truly enjoyed our visit to this area and the property was beautiful. We loved the privacy and the view out the back was breathtaking morning, noon and night. This location was perfect to visit all the sites in the area. One of the highlights of our trip was the grizzly bear tour only 15 minutes away. We highly recommend this property and definitely hope to be back!
This home is pet friendly and on 40 acres with the most amazing views from the deck, hot tub, fire pit. For a fall fix, I can't think of a nicer place. The kitchen is so well stocked. Cozy and comfy!
We had a great stay. The house is beautiful, spacious, and very well stocked (2 crockpots even). Private, quiet location 15 minutes from town. Comfortable and relaxing. Highly recommend.
Stunning location and beautiful cabin. Already planning winter rental, cross country skiing from the cabin would be amazing a great find thank you for sharing your property with us
This is one of the nicest properties I have rented. The property was clean, comfortable, cozy and had everything you could possibly need and want. Responsive owner. We definitely plan on returning.
Great place. Really nice cottage and property. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Property is a short drive to Golden for food and groceries. Nice and quiet at night. Every morning there were deer wandering the property. Would definitely go back.
Everything about this property is beyond spectacular. We did many day trips and found we couldn't wait to get back to the house to relax and enjoy. Les and Krys are very nice and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts. Feel very comfortable to stay at this property, you won't go wrong.
I would highly suggest this spot for a mountain get away. Great snow shoeing and cross country skiing on the property. Property manager is near by to help out with any property problems that may arise in a very timely manner. Plus the stars at night are breathtaking for your average city folk.
My husband and I stayed here with our 2 little dogs. The home is well laid out and very clean. The kitchen is well appointed with everything that you’ll need. Beds are super comfy and there are lots of thoughtful touches throughout the home.
The hot tub was great after long hikes and we could watch an elk herd from the decks most evenings.
The house is just a short 20min drive into golden but it’s very secluded and private. The hosts are very responsive if you have questions and check in/out was a breeze. We really enjoyed our stay here and hope to return!
Everything about this place was amazing! The house the property! All of it! I would stay here over and over again.
Next time I come I will bring my kid as he would love to run around the beautiful yard and watch the deer.
Could not thank owners enough for this stay!
We've been to all 50 states and stayed at beautiful national parks--the view at Willowbank Home reaches that level of beauty. If you love the outdoors, a peaceful setting, and nature you will be happy there. The house was immaculate, well stocked, and a short drive to Golden. Glacier National Park, Revelstoke, and Emerald Lake are a pleasant drive away. We totally enjoyed our week there.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay in the Willowbank cabin. We were 5 adults, and there was plenty of room to spread out in the 2 living rooms and with the extra large dining table. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we wanted to make our meals. We really enjoyed being able to cross-country ski from the back door. The views were lovely and the hosts were helpful and very quick to respond to inquiries. We highly recommend the property for anyone looking for a comfortable stay in a rural setting.
We were 2 couples with 2 dogs who stayed for a week. The cabin was spacious and well furnished and equipped - the dishwasher and washer were very useful! We especially all enjoyed the large deck with the incredible view of the mountains! Our dogs could run freely in the yard. We witnessed almost everyday during sunset some deers. We recommend without hesitation!!
Good central location for visiting many national parks!!
We were able to use this as a home base for visiting Yoho, Glacier, Mt. Revelstoke and Kootenay. Required a bit of driving, but not too bad. Enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of hiking, and the night sky was phenomenal. Some dead black flies accumulated daily in one of the bedrooms and dining room. And don’t use the ancient cooker!! It appeared to be working, but our chicken was raw at the end of the day- so we not only lost our dinner but had to figure out something else.
Beautiful property, wildlife appeared regularly in the field behind the house. Overall was a great place.
Krys' and Les' property was a dream. Being so far removed from any urban noise, and with the mountains in your backyard, it was the most relaxing and breathtaking VRBO experience to date. At times is so peaceful that you could hear a pin drop from a mile away which really helps with disconnecting. You're fully immersed in nature and can expect to see wildlife roaming the backyard at a distance - at one point we spotted 17 elk grazing about 100ft from the house. This home is stocked with nearly everything you could possibly need, simply examine the various cupboards and drawers and you'll likely find what you're looking for. Also, it's not noted in the ad but there are not 1 but 2 fire pits. Communication with Krys and Les was swift and they were always there to immediately answer any questions. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily visit again!
Thanks to these guys for providing such a gorgeous and serene home for all to experience, not to mention at such a CHEAP price. It's a no brainer. Do not hesitate to book, you won't regret it!
Had an absolutely wonderful time with my family and dogs. The cabin looked beautiful in the photos but in person, it is even more spectacular and cozy. We spent lots of time curled up in the living room playing games, watching hockey, and eating good food together. We particularly loved the fire pit as there's lots of chopped wood right on the property ready to use. The beds were very comfortable and cozy. I am a bit of a clean freak and was pleasantly surprised by the care that went into keeping the place nice and tidy. A huge perk was the fact that they have a fully stocked kitchen! Whether that be a roasting pan, buffet heater, baking pans, wine glasses, tongs, etc... they really had everything. Probably more kitchen equipment that I have in my own kitchen! The property itself is wonderful and we really enjoyed spending time in the hot tub. The hosts were fantastic and really really nice people. I greatly appreciated the hosts responsiveness as I asked many questions during our stay. There's plenty of throw blankets to curl up in and the couches are very comfortable. We made so many great memories here.
We have never been cross country skiing before. There are some trails on the property that are set by a tracker for people in the neighbourhood to cross country ski on, so make sure you don't walk on them! We made that mistake and will be sure to bring snowshoes or spikes next time.
Overall, a 100/10 stay. I have already recommended the cabin to my friends and family. We hope to be back again! Huge thank you to Krys and Les :)
