Ideal for a individual, payable stay in the middle of Funchal
I took part in a intensive summer course in Portuguese language in the ALM Language School in Funchal and needed a small, nice and quiet apartment for 3 weeks with good access to internet and a small space for working.
I wanted to be independently from a Hotel's restaurant and caring for myself.
I found this apartment with the needed possibilities. Having a small kitchen, small bathroom and a room for sleeping. All in a small but very tidy and clean house. The houseowner is a very friendly and nice woman.
My room had a window to the back of the house. Because of that, it has been very quiet in the night. I could use the terrace on the roof of the house, which I used often for sitting and learning.
In the front of the house is a big place with lots of restaurants for having lunch or dinner or just a coffee.
The next supermarket's are are at the next corner, also the inner city with lots of shop's. The harbour of Funchal is also reachable by feet in a few minutes walk.
The only thing I'd missed sometimes was a air-condition to cool down the bedroom.
I'd recommend that apartment for single traveler and couples who likes to be independent.
