We're thrilled to hear that you loved our apartment and found it spacious and comfortable! It's wonderful to know that you enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere of the Old Town with its great restaurants and bars. And being next to the cable car to the beautiful Monte gardens must have been a fantastic bonus! We're glad you had such a positive experience, and we hope to have the pleasure of hosting you again in the future. If there's anything else we can do to enhance your next stay, please feel free to let us know.

Thank you so much for your lovely review! We’re thrilled to hear you loved your stay in Funchal and enjoyed the spacious apartment, the sunny balcony with Atlantic views, and the vibrant atmosphere of the Old Town. Looking forward to your next visit!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad you appreciated the location, the welcome touches, and the space itself, as well as the easy access to everything Funchal has to offer. We’d like to mention that, as stated in the listing, the apartment does not have air conditioning. Being located in the heart of the Old Town, right on a lively street, some noise can be expected — it's part of the charm, but we understand it might not suit everyone. We'll definitely pass on your comment about the fans not working to the host so it can be addressed promptly. Your feedback is valuable, and we’ll take it into account as we continue improving the guest experience. We appreciate your honesty and hope you still enjoyed your time in Madeira.

Thank you, Nancy and Marc, for your wonderful feedback! We're thrilled to hear that you found both the apartment and the location perfect. It's great to know that Carina and the restaurant staff made your stay even more enjoyable. We hope to welcome you back soon!

Thank you for your kind words about our property!

Thank you for your kind words about Apartamentos Taberna!

Thank you, Paul, for your kind words! we are glad you had a great and we look forward in welcoming you in the future!

We sincerely apologise for the mix-up with the apartments during your stay. Both Our Madeira and the team at Taberna Apartamentos fully understand how important it is for guests to receive the accommodation they booked, and we recognise that being placed in a different apartment, particularly one without the balcony you had specifically chosen, understandably affected your expectations and your experience. The initial check-in and apartment allocation are handled by the hosts at the property. Nevertheless, once we became aware of the situation, Our Madeira worked closely with the owners to help resolve the issue and, following your stay, to agree on a compensation that properly reflected the inconvenience caused. The compensation provided was a considerable amount and, in fact, exceeded the difference in price between the two apartments. We do acknowledge, however, that this compensation was provided after the stay rather than during it, and we understand that this could not change the experience you had while you were there. We’re also sorry for the difficulties caused by the move between apartments and for the items that could not be recovered. We understand how frustrating this must have been, particularly after you had been assured that your belongings would be transferred. The wine and cheese platter offered during your stay was intended simply as a gesture of goodwill at the time, separate from the compensation subsequently agreed with the owners. We appreciate that neither gesture could undo the inconvenience caused by the apartment mix-up. While the initial check-in issue was outside of Our Madeira’s direct control, we did our best to assist once we became aware of it and to work with the owners towards a fair resolution. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We’re glad you enjoyed the location and the building itself, and we’re genuinely sorry that the apartment mix-up and the issues that followed affected your overall stay.

Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We're thrilled that you found the apartment spacious and enjoyed its excellent location in the old town of Funchal. It's great to hear that Paulo provided such kind and helpful service, from arranging your taxi to making dinner reservations. We're glad the restaurant exceeded your expectations as well. We appreciate your recommendation and look forward to welcoming you back in the future!

Thank you very much for your detailed review. We’re really pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay and that you appreciated the location, the convenience of being in the Old Town, and the proximity to the cable car, restaurants, shops, and transport links. We’re especially glad the balcony was a highlight for you — it’s indeed a great spot to relax and enjoy the sun after a day of exploring. It’s also great to know you found the property well-equipped and generally clean on arrival. At the same time, we appreciate you pointing out the areas where we can improve. We will certainly review the points you mentioned regarding kitchen cleanliness, the bathtub drainage, and the level of amenities provided, as these are all important details that help us improve the guest experience. Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again in the future for an even better stay.

Thank you for your feedback.! We’re so glad you enjoyed the apartment’s location, space, and well-equipped kitchen, as well as the great restaurants nearby. We’re sorry for the inconvenience caused by the nearby works — as in any city, these things can occasionally happen — but we’re happy you still enjoyed your stay and loved Madeira. We hope to welcome you back again soon!
